תאות לבו נתתה לו וארשת שפתיו בל־מנעת סלה׃ |

כי־תקדמנו ברכות טוב תשית לראשו עטרת פז׃ |

חיים שאל ממך נתתה לו ארך ימים עולם ועד׃ |
His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him. | His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him. | He made request to you for life, and you gave it to him, long life for ever and ever. | |||

גדול כבודו בישועתך הוד והדר תשוה עליו׃ |
For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. | For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence. | His glory is great in your salvation: honour and authority have you put on him. | |||

כי־תשיתהו ברכות לעד תחדהו בשמחה את־פניך׃ |
For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. | For the king trusts in Yahweh. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved. | For you have made him a blessing for ever: you have given him joy in the light of your face. | |||

כי־המלך בטח ביהוה ובחסד עליון בל־ימוט׃ |
Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. | Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you. | For the king has faith in the Lord, and through the mercy of the Most High he will not be moved. | |||

תמצא ידך לכל־איביך ימינך תמצא שנאיך׃ |
Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. | You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them. | Your hand will make a search for all your haters; your right hand will be hard on all those who are against you. | |||

תשיתמו כתנור אש לעת פניך יהוה באפו יבלעם ותאכלם אש׃ |
Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. | You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men. | You will make them like a flaming oven before you; the Lord in his wrath will put an end to them, and they will be burned up in the fire. | |||

פרימו מארץ תאבד וזרעם מבני אדם׃ |
For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. | For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed. | Their fruit will be cut off from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. | |||

כי־נטו עליך רעה חשבו מזמה בל־יוכלו׃ |
Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them. | For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face. | For their thoughts were bitter against you: they had an evil design in their minds, which they were not able to put into effect. | |||

כי תשיתמו שכם במיתריך תכונן על־פניהם׃ |
Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power. | Be exalted, Yahweh, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power. | Their backs will be turned when you make ready the cords of your bow against their faces. | |||
