ארוממך יהוה כי דליתני ולא־שמחת איבי לי׃ |
O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. | Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me. | I will give you praise and honour, O Lord, because through you I have been lifted up; you have not given my haters cause to be glad over me. | |||

יהוה אלהי שועתי אליך ותרפאני׃ |
O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. | Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol{Sheol is the place of the dead.}. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. | O Lord my God, I sent up my cry to you, and you have made me well. | |||

יהוה העלית מן־שאול נפשי חייתני מיורדי־בור׃ |
Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. | Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his. זמרו ליהוה חסידיו והודו לזכר קדשו׃ |
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. | For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning. | Make songs to the Lord, O you saints of his, and give praise to his holy name. | |||

כי רגע באפו חיים ברצונו בערב ילין בכי ולבקר רנה׃ |
And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. | As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I shall never be moved." | For his wrath is only for a minute; in his grace there is life; weeping may be for a night, but joy comes in the morning. | |||

ואני אמרתי בשלוי בל־אמוט לעולם׃ |
LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. | You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled. | When things went well for me I said, I will never be moved. | |||

יהוה ברצונך העמדתה להררי עז הסתרת פניך הייתי נבהל׃ |
I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication. | I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made supplication: | Lord, by your grace you have kept my mountain strong: when your face was turned from me I was troubled. | |||

אליך יהוה אקרא ואל־אדני אתחנן׃ |
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? | "What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? מה־בצע בדמי ברדתי אל־שחת היודך עפר היגיד אמתך׃ |
Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper. | Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper." | What profit is there in my blood if I go down into the underworld? will the dust give you praise, or be a witness to your help? | |||

שמע־יהוה וחנני יהוה היה־עזר לי׃ |
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; | You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness, | Give ear to me, O Lord, and have mercy on me: Lord, be my helper. | |||

הפכת מספדי למחול לי פתחת שקי ותאזרני שמחה׃ |
To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever. | To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent.
