טוב להדות ליהוה ולזמר לשמך עליון׃ |
To shew forth thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, | to proclaim your loving kindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night, | It is a good thing to give praise to the Lord, and to make melody to your name, O Most High; | |||

להגיד בבקר חסדך ואמונתך בלילות׃ |
Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. | with the ten-stringed lute, with the harp, and with the melody of the lyre. | To make clear your mercy in the morning, and your unchanging faith every night; | |||

עלי־עשור ועלי־נבל עלי הגיון בכנור׃ |
For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. | For you, Yahweh, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands. | On a ten-corded instrument, and on an instrument of music with a quiet sound. | |||

כי שמחתני יהוה בפעלך במעשי ידיך ארנן׃ |
O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. | How great are your works, Yahweh! Your thoughts are very deep. | For you, O Lord, have made me glad through your work; I will have joy in the works of your hands. | |||

מה־גדלו מעשיך יהוה מאד עמקו מחשבתיך׃ |
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. | A senseless man doesn't know, neither does a fool understand this: | O Lord, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep. | |||

איש־בער לא ידע וכסיל לא־יבין את־זאת׃ |
When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: | though the wicked spring up as the grass, and all the evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever. | A man without sense has no knowledge of this; and a foolish man may not take it in. | |||

בפרח רשעים כמו עשב ויציצו כל־פעלי און להשמדם עדי־עד׃ |
But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore. | But you, Yahweh, are on high forevermore. | When the sinners come up like the grass, and all the workers of evil do well for themselves, it is so that their end may be eternal destruction. | |||

ואתה מרום לעלם יהוה׃ |
For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. | For, behold, your enemies, Yahweh, for, behold, your enemies shall perish. All the evildoers will be scattered. | But you, O Lord, are on high for ever. | |||

כי הנה איביך יהוה כי־הנה איביך יאבדו יתפרדו כל־פעלי און׃ |
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. | But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil. | For see! your haters, O Lord, will be put to death; all the workers of evil will be put to flight; | |||

ותרם כראים קרני בלתי בשמן רענן׃ |
Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. | My eye has also seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the wicked enemies who rise up against me. | But my horn is lifted up like the horn of the ox: the best oil is flowing on my head. | |||

ותבט עיני בשורי בקמים עלי מרעים תשמענה אזני׃ |
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. | The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. | My eyes have seen trouble come on my haters; my ears have news of the fate of the evil-doers who have come up against me. | |||

צדיק כתמר יפרח כארז בלבנון ישגה׃ |
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. | They are planted in Yahweh's house. They will flourish in our God's courts. | The good man will be like a tall tree in his strength; his growth will be as the wide-stretching trees of Lebanon. | |||

שתולים בבית יהוה בחצרות אלהינו יפריחו׃ |
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; | They will still bring forth fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green, | Those who are planted in the house of the Lord will come up tall and strong in his gardens. | |||

עוד ינובון בשיבה דשנים ורעננים יהיו׃ |
To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. | to show that Yahweh is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. | They will give fruit even when they are old; they will be fertile and full of growth; | |||
