1.    הנך  יפה  רעיתי  הנך 
יפה  עיניך  יונים
מבעד  לצמתך  שערך
כעדר  העזים  שגלשו
מהר  גלעד׃
    Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.     Behold, you are beautiful, my love. Behold, you are beautiful. Your eyes are doves behind your veil. Your hair is as a flock of goats, that descend from Mount Gilead.     See, you are fair, my love, you are fair; you have the eyes of a dove; your hair is as a flock of goats, which take their rest on the side of Gilead.
 
2.    שניך  כעדר  הקצובות 
שעלו  מן־הרחצה
שכלם  מתאימות
ושכלה  אין  בהם׃
    Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them.     Your teeth are like a newly shorn flock, which have come up from the washing, where every one of them has twins. None is bereaved among them.     Your teeth are like a flock of sheep whose wool is newly cut, which come up from the washing; every one has two lambs, and there is not one without young.
 
3.    כחוט  השני  שפתתיך 
ומדבריך  נאוה  כפלח
הרמון  רקתך  מבעד
לצמתך׃
    Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks.     Your lips are like scarlet thread. Your mouth is lovely. Your temples are like a piece of a pomegranate behind your veil.     Your red lips are like a bright thread, and your mouth is fair of form; the sides of your head are like pomegranate fruit under your veil.
 
4.    כמגדל  דויד  צוארך 
בנוי  לתלפיות  אלף
המגן  תלוי  עליו  כל
שלטי  הגבורים׃
    Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.     Your neck is like David's tower built for an armory, whereon a thousand shields hang, all the shields of the mighty men.     Your neck is like the tower of David made for a store-house of arms, in which a thousand breastplates are hanging, breastplates for fighting-men.
 
5.    שני  שדיך  כשני 
עפרים  תאומי  צביה
הרועים  בשושנים׃
    Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.     Your two breasts are like two fawns that are twins of a roe, which feed among the lilies.     Your two breasts are like two young roes of the same birth, which take their food among the lilies.
 
6.    עד  שיפוח  היום 
ונסו  הצללים  אלך
לי  אל־הר  המור
ואל־גבעת  הלבונה׃
    Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.     Until the day is cool, and the shadows flee away, I will go to the mountain of myrrh, to the hill of frankincense.     Till the evening comes, and the sky slowly becomes dark, I will go to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.
 
7.    כלך  יפה  רעיתי 
ומום  אין  בך׃
    Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.     You are all beautiful, my love. There is no spot in you.     You are all fair, my love; there is no mark on you.
 
8.    אתי  מלבנון  כלה 
אתי  מלבנון  תבואי
תשורי  מראש  אמנה
מראש  שניר  וחרמון
ממענות  אריות
מהררי  נמרים׃
    Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.     Come with me from Lebanon, my bride, with me from Lebanon. 9.    לבבתני  אחתי  כלה 
לבבתיני  באחד
מעיניך  באחד  ענק
מצורניך׃
    Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.     You have ravished my heart, my sister, my bride. You have ravished my heart with one of your eyes, with one chain of your neck.     You have taken away my heart, my sister, my bride; you have taken away my heart, with one look you have taken it, with one chain of your neck!
 
10.    מה־יפו  דדיך  אחתי 
כלה  מה־טבו  דדיך
מיין  וריח  שמניך
מכל־בשמים׃
    How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!     How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine! The fragrance of your perfumes than all manner of spices!     How fair is your love, my sister! How much better is your love than wine, and the smell of your oils than any perfume!
 
11.    נפת  תטפנה  שפתותיך 
כלה  דבש  וחלב  תחת
לשונך  וריח  שלמתיך
כריח  לבנון׃
    Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.     Your lips, my bride, drip like the honeycomb. Honey and milk are under your tongue. The smell of your garments is like the smell of Lebanon.     Your lips are dropping honey; honey and milk are under your tongue; and the smell of your clothing is like the smell of Lebanon.
 
12.    גן  נעול  אחתי  כלה 
גל  נעול  מעין
חתום׃
    A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.     A locked up garden is my sister, my bride; a locked up spring, a sealed fountain.     A garden walled-in is my sister, my bride; a garden shut up, a spring of water stopped.
 
13.    שלחיך  פרדס  רמונים 
עם  פרי  מגדים
כפרים  עם־נרדים׃
    Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,     Your shoots are an orchard of pomegranates, with precious fruits: henna with spikenard plants,     The produce of the garden is pomegranates; with all the best fruits, henna and spikenard,
 
14.    נרד  וכרכם  קנה 
וקנמון  עם  כל־עצי
לבונה  מר  ואהלות
עם  כל־ראשי  בשמים׃
    Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:     spikenard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with every kind of incense tree; myrrh and aloes, with all the best spices,     Spikenard and safron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices.
 
15.    מעין  גנים  באר  מים 
חיים  ונזלים
מן־לבנון׃
    A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon.     a fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, flowing streams from Lebanon.  Beloved     You are a fountain of gardens, a spring of living waters, and flowing waters from Lebanon.
 
16.    עורי  צפון  ובואי 
תימן  הפיחי  גני
יזלו  בשמיו  יבא
דודי  לגנו  ויאכל
פרי  מגדיו׃
    Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.     Awake, north wind; and come, you south! Blow on my garden, that its spices may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and taste his precious fruits.  Lover     Be awake, O north wind; and come, O south, blowing on my garden, so that its spices may come out. Let my loved one come into his garden, and take of his good fruits.
