כה־אמר יהוה אלי עשה לך מוסרות ומטות ונתתם על־צוארך׃ |
Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck, | Thus says Yahweh to me: Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck; | This is what the Lord has said to me: Make for yourself bands and yokes and put them on your neck; | |||

ושלחתם אל־מלך אדום ואל־מלך מואב ואל־מלך בני עמון ואל־מלך צר ואל־מלך צידון ביד מלאכים הבאים ירושלם אל־צדקיהו מלך יהודה׃ |
And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah; | and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah; | And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Zidon, by their servants who come to Jerusalem, to Zedekiah, king of Judah; | |||

וצוית אתם אל־אדניהם לאמר כה־אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל כה תאמרו אל־אדניכם׃ |
And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters; | and give them a command to their masters, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, You shall tell your masters: | And give them orders to say to their masters, This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: Say to your masters, | |||

אנכי עשיתי את־הארץ את־האדם ואת־הבהמה אשר על־פני הארץ בכחי הגדול ובזרועי הנטויה ונתתיה לאשר ישר בעיני׃ |
I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me. | I have made the earth, the men and the animals that are on the surface of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it to whom it seems right to me. | I have made the earth, and man and beast on the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I will give it to anyone at my pleasure. | |||

ועתה אנכי נתתי את־כל־הארצות האלה ביד נבוכדנאצר מלך־בבל עבדי וגם את־חית השדה נתתי לו לעבדו׃ |

ועבדו אתו כל־הגוים ואת־בנו ואת־בן־בנו עד בא־עת ארצו גם־הוא ועבדו בו גוים רבים ומלכים גדלים׃ |
And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him. | All the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondservant. | And all the nations will be servants to him and to his son and to his son's son, till the time comes for his land to be overcome: and then a number of nations and great kings will take it for their use. | |||

והיה הגוי והממלכה אשר לא־יעבדו אתו את־נבוכדנאצר מלך־בבל ואת אשר לא־יתן את־צוארו בעל מלך בבל בחרב וברעב ובדבר אפקד על־הגוי ההוא נאם־יהוה עד־תמי אתם בידו׃ |
And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. | It shall happen, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, says Yahweh, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. | And it will come about, that if any nation does not become a servant to this same Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and does not put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, then I will send punishment on that nation, says the Lord, by the sword and need of food and by disease, till I have given them into his hands. | |||

ואתם אל־תשמעו אל־נביאיכם ואל־קסמיכם ואל חלמתיכם ואל־ענניכם ואל־כשפיכם אשר־הם אמרים אליכם לאמר לא תעבדו את־מלך בבל׃ |
Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: | But as for you, don't you listen to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon: | And you are not to give attention to your prophets or your readers of signs or your dreamers or those who see into the future or those who make use of secret arts, who say to you, You will not become servants of the king of Babylon: | |||

כי שקר הם נבאים לכם למען הרחיק אתכם מעל אדמתכם והדחתי אתכם ואבדתם׃ |
For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish. | for they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and you should perish. | For they say false words to you, so that you may be sent away far from your land, and so that you may be forced out by me and come to destruction. | |||

והגוי אשר יביא את־צוארו בעל מלך־בבל ועבדו והנחתיו על־אדמתו נאם־יהוה ועבדה וישב בה׃ |
But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein. | But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that [nation] will I let remain in their own land, says Yahweh; and they shall till it, and dwell therein. | But as for that nation which puts its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and becomes his servant, I will let that nation keep on in its land, farming it and living in it, says the Lord. | |||

ואל־צדקיה מלך־יהודה דברתי ככל־הדברים האלה לאמר הביאו את־ צואריכם בעל מלך־בבל ועבדו אתו ועמו וחיו׃ |
I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live. | I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live. | And I said all this to Zedekiah, king of Judah, saying, Put your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon and become his servants and his people, so that you may keep your lives. | |||

למה תמותו אתה ועמך בחרב ברעב ובדבר כאשר דבר יהוה אל־הגוי אשר לא־יעבד את־מלך בבל׃ |
Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? | Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? | Why are you desiring death, you and your people, by the sword, and because food is gone, and by disease, as the Lord has said of the nation which does not become the servant of the king of Babylon? | |||

ואל־תשמעו אל־דברי הנבאים האמרים אליכם לאמר לא תעבדו את־מלך בבל כי שקר הם נבאים לכם׃ |
Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you. | Don't listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you. | And you are not to give ear to the prophets who say to you, You will not become servants of the king of Babylon: for what they say is not true. | |||

כי לא שלחתים נאם־יהוה והם נבאים בשמי לשקר למען הדיחי אתכם ואבדתם אתם והנבאים הנבאים לכם׃ |
For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you. | For I have not sent them, says Yahweh, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you. | For I have not sent them, says the Lord, but they are saying what is false in my name, so that I might send you out by force, causing destruction to come on you and on your prophets. | |||

ואל־הכהנים ואל־כל־העם הזה דברתי לאמר כה אמר יהוה אל־תשמעו אל־ דברי נביאיכם הנבאים לכם לאמר הנה כלי בית־יהוה מושבים מבבלה עתה מהרה כי שקר המה נבאים לכם׃ |
Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you. | Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Don't listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Yahweh's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you. | And I said to the priests and to all the people, This is what the Lord has said: Give no attention to the words of your prophets who say to you, See, in a very little time now the vessels of the Lord's house will come back again from Babylon: for what they say to you is false. | |||

אל־תשמעו אליהם עבדו את־מלך־בבל וחיו למה תהיה העיר הזאת חרבה׃ |
Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste? | Don't listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city become a desolation? | Give no attention to them; become servants of the king of Babylon and keep yourselves from death: why let this town become a waste? | |||

ואם־נבאים הם ואם־יש דבר־יהוה אתם יפגעו־נא ביהוה צבאות לבלתי־ באו הכלים הנותרים בבית־יהוה ובית מלך יהודה ובירושלם בבלה׃ |
But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon. | But if they be prophets, and if the word of Yahweh be with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don't go to Babylon. | But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, let them now make request to the Lord of armies that the vessels which are still in the house of the Lord and in the house of the king of Judah and at Jerusalem, may not go to Babylon. | |||

כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אל־העמדים ועל־הים ועל־המכנות ועל יתר הכלים הנותרים בעיר הזאת׃ |
For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city, | For thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city, | For this is what the Lord has said about the rest of the vessels which are still in this town, | |||

אשר לא־לקחם נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל בגלותו את־יכוניה בן־יהויקים מלך־יהודה מירושלם בבלה ואת כל־חרי יהודה וירושלם׃ |
Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; | which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn't take, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; | Which Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, did not take away, when he took Jeconiah, the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, a prisoner from Jerusalem to Babylon, with all the great men of Judah and Jerusalem; | |||

כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל על־הכלים הנותרים בית יהוה ובית מלך־יהודה וירושלם׃ |
Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem; | yes, thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem: | For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said about the rest of the vessels in the house of the Lord and in the house of the king of Judah and at Jerusalem: | |||

בבלה יובאו ושמה יהיו עד יום פקדי אתם נאם־יהוה והעליתים והשיבתים אל־המקום הזה׃ |
They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place. | They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, says Yahweh; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place. | They will be taken away to Babylon, and there they will be till the day when I send their punishment on them, says the Lord.
