ואתה בן־אדם הנבא על־גוג ואמרת כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני אליך גוג נשיא ראש משך ותבל׃ |
Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: | You, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I am against you, Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal: | And you, son of man, be a prophet against Gog, and say, These are the words of the Lord: See, I am against you, O Gog, ruler of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal: | |||

ושבבתיך וששאתיך והעליתיך מירכתי צפון והבאותך על־הרי ישראל׃ |
And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: | and I will turn you around, and will lead you on, and will cause you to come up from the uttermost parts of the north; and I will bring you on the mountains of Israel; | And turning you round, I will be your guide, and make you come up from the inmost parts of the north; I will make you come on to the mountains of Israel: | |||

והכיתי קשתך מיד שמאולך וחציך מיד ימינך אפיל׃ |
And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. | and I will strike your bow out of your left hand, and will cause your arrows to fall out of your right hand. | And with a blow I will send your bow out of your left hand and your arrows falling from your right hand. | |||

על־הרי ישראל תפול אתה וכל־אגפיך ועמים אשר אתך לעיט צפור כל־ כנף וחית השדה נתתיך לאכלה׃ |
Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. | You shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you, and all your hordes, and the peoples who are with you: I will give you to the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the animals of the field to be devoured. | On the mountains of Israel you will come down, you and all your forces and the peoples who are with you: I will give you to cruel birds of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be their food. | |||

על־פני השדה תפול כי אני דברתי נאם אדני יהוה׃ |

ושלחתי־אש במגוג ובישבי האיים לבטח וידעו כי־אני יהוה׃ |
And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD. | I will send a fire on Magog, and on those who dwell securely in the islands; and they shall know that I am Yahweh. | And I will send a fire on Magog, and on those who are living in the sea-lands without fear: and they will be certain that I am the Lord. | |||

ואת־שם קדשי אודיע בתוך עמי ישראל ולא־אחל את־שם־קדשי עוד וידעו הגוים כי־אני יהוה קדוש בישראל׃ |
So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. | My holy name will I make known in the midst of my people Israel; neither will I allow my holy name to be profaned any more: and the nations shall know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israel. | And I will make clear my holy name among my people Israel; I will no longer let my holy name be made unclean: and the nations will be certain that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel. | |||

הנה באה ונהיתה נאם אדני יהוה הוא היום אשר דברתי׃ |
Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken. | Behold, it comes, and it shall be done, says the Lord Yahweh; this is the day about which I have spoken. | See, it is coming and it will be done, says the Lord; this is the day of which I have given word. | |||

ויצאו ישבי ערי ישראל ובערו והשיקו בנשק ומגן וצנה בקשת ובחצים ובמקל יד וברמח ובערו בהם אש שבע שנים׃ |
And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: | Those who dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall make fires of the weapons and burn them, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the war clubs, and the spears, and they shall make fires of them seven years; | And those who are living in the towns of Israel will go out and make fires of the instruments of war, burning the body-covers and the breastplates, the bows and the arrows and the sticks and the spears, and for seven years they will make fires of them: | |||

ולא־ישאו עצים מן־השדה ולא יחטבו מן־היערים כי בנשק יבערו־אש ושללו את־שלליהם ובזזו את־בזזיהם נאם אדני יהוה׃ |
So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. | so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall make fires of the weapons; and they shall plunder those who plundered them, and rob those who robbed them, says the Lord Yahweh. | And they will take no wood out of the field or have any cut down in the woods; for they will make their fires of the instruments of war: and they will take by force the property of those who took their property, and go off with the goods of those who took their goods, says the Lord. | |||

והיה ביום ההוא אתן לגוג מקום־שם קבר בישראל גי העברים קדמת הים וחסמת היא את־העברים וקברו שם את־גוג ואת־כל־המונה וקראו גיא המון גוג׃ |
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. | It shall happen in that day, that I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel, the valley of those who pass through on the east of the sea; and it shall stop those who pass through: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it The valley of Hamon Gog. | And it will come about in those days, that I will give to Gog a last resting-place there in Israel, in the valley of Abarim on the east of the sea: and those who go through will be stopped: and there Gog and all his people will be put to rest, and the place will be named, The valley of Hamon-gog. | |||

And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. | Seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land. | And the children of Israel will be seven months putting them in the earth, so as to make the land clean. | |||

וקברו כל־עם הארץ והיה להם לשם יום הכבדי נאם אדני יהוה׃ |
Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. | Yes, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown in the day that I shall be glorified, says the Lord Yahweh. | And all the people of the land will put them in the earth; and it will be to their honour in the day when I let my glory be seen, says the Lord. | |||

ואנשי תמיד יבדילו עברים בארץ מקברים את־העברים את־הנותרים על־ פני הארץ לטהרה מקצה שבעה־חדשים יחקרו׃ |
And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. | They shall set apart men of continual employment, who shall pass through the land, and, with those who pass through, those who bury those who remain on the surface of the land, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. | And they will put on one side men to do no other work but to go through the land and put in the earth the rest of those who are still on the face of the land, to make it clean: after seven months are ended they are to make a search. | |||

ועברו העברים בארץ וראה עצם אדם ובנה אצלו ציון עד קברו אתו המקברים אל־גיא המון גוג׃ |
And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog. | Those who pass through the land shall pass through; and when any sees a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, until the undertakers have buried it in the valley of Hamon Gog. | And while they go through the land, if anyone sees a man's bone, he is to put up a sign by the place till those who are doing the work have put it in the earth in the valley of Hamon-gog. | |||

וגם שם־עיר המונה וטהרו הארץ׃ |
And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land. | Hamonah shall also be the name of a city. Thus shall they cleanse the land. | And there they will put all the army of Gog in the earth. So they will make the land clean. | |||

ואתה בן־אדם כה־אמר אדני יהוה אמר לצפור כל־כנף ולכל חית השדה הקבצו ובאו האספו מסביב על־זבחי אשר אני זבח לכם זבח גדול על הרי ישראל ואכלתם בשר ושתיתם דם׃ |
And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. | You, son of man, thus says the Lord Yahweh: Speak to the birds of every sort, and to every animal of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood. | And you, son of man, this is what the Lord has said: Say to the birds of every sort and to all the beasts of the field, Get together and come; come together on every side to the offering which I am putting to death for you, a great offering on the mountains of Israel, so that you may have flesh for your food and blood for your drink. | |||

בשר גבורים תאכלו ודם־נשיאי הארץ תשתו אילים כרים ועתודים פרים מריאי בשן כלם׃ |
Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. | You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan. | The flesh of the men of war will be your food, and your drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of sheep and lambs, of he-goats, of oxen, all of them fat beasts of Bashan. | |||

ואכלתם־חלב לשבעה ושתיתם דם לשכרון מזבחי אשר־זבחתי לכם׃ |
And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. | You shall eat fat until you be full, and drink blood until you are drunk, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. | You will go on feasting on the fat till you are full, and drinking the blood till you are overcome with it, of my offering which I have put to death for you. | |||

ושבעתם על־שלחני סוס ורכב גבור וכל־איש מלחמה נאם אדני יהוה׃ |
Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD. | You shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, says the Lord Yahweh. | At my table you will have food in full measure, horses and war-carriages, great men and all the men of war, says the Lord. | |||

ונתתי את־כבודי בגוים וראו כל־הגוים את־משפטי אשר עשיתי ואת־ ידי אשר־שמתי בהם׃ |
And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. | I will set my glory among the nations; and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid on them. | And I will put my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see my punishments which I have put into effect, and my hand which I have put on them. | |||

וידעו בית ישראל כי אני יהוה אלהיהם מן־היום ההוא והלאה׃ |
So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward. | So the house of Israel shall know that I am Yahweh their God, from that day and forward. | So the children of Israel will be certain that I am the Lord their God, from that day and for the future. | |||

וידעו הגוים כי בעונם גלו בית־ישראל על אשר מעלו־בי ואסתר פני מהם ואתנם ביד צריהם ויפלו בחרב כלם׃ |
And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. | The nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they trespassed against me, and I hid my face from them: so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they fell all of them by the sword. | And it will be clear to the nations that the children of Israel were taken away prisoners for their evil-doing; because they did wrong against me, and my face was covered from them: so I gave them up into the hands of their attackers, and they all came to their end by the sword. | |||

כטמאתם וכפשעיהם עשיתי אתם ואסתר פני מהם׃ |
According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them. | According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions did I to them; and I hid my face from them. | In the measure of their unclean ways and their sins, so I did to them; and I kept my face covered from them. | |||

לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה עתה אשיב את־שבית יעקב ורחמתי כל־בית ישראל וקנאתי לשם קדשי׃ |
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; | Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name. | For this cause the Lord has said, Now I will let the fate of Jacob be changed, and I will have mercy on all the children of Israel, and will take care of the honour of my holy name. | |||

ונשו את־כלמתם ואת־כל־מעלם אשר מעלו־בי בשבתם על־אדמתם לבטח ואין מחריד׃ |
After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. | They shall bear their shame, and all their trespasses by which they have trespassed against me, when they shall dwell securely in their land, and none shall make them afraid; | And they will be conscious of their shame and of all the wrong which they have done against me, when they are living in their land with no sense of danger and with no one to be a cause of fear to them; | |||

בשובבי אותם מן־העמים וקבצתי אתם מארצות איביהם ונקדשתי בם לעיני הגוים רבים׃ |
When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; | when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations. | When I have taken them back from among the peoples and got them together out of the lands of their haters, and have made myself holy in them before the eyes of a great number of nations. | |||

וידעו כי אני יהוה אלהיהם בהגלותי אתם אל־הגוים וכנסתים על־ אדמתם ולא־אותיר עוד מהם שם׃ |
Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. | They shall know that I am Yahweh their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them to their own land; and I will leave none of them any more there; | And they will be certain that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them away as prisoners among the nations, and have taken them together back to their land; and I have not let one of them be there any longer. | |||

ולא־אסתיר עוד פני מהם אשר שפכתי את־רוחי על־בית ישראל נאם אדני יהוה׃ |
Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. | neither will I hide my face any more from them; for I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel, says the Lord Yahweh. | And my face will no longer be covered from them: for I have sent the out-flowing of my spirit on the children of Israel, says the Lord. | |||
