1.    Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him Yahweh had given victory to Syria: he was also a mighty man of valor, [but he was] a leper.     Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.     ונעמן  שר־צבא

גדול  לפני  אדניו

לארם  והאיש  היה
גבור  חיל  מצרע׃
    VN'yMN ShUr-TShB'a MLK-'aUrM HYH 'aYSh GDVL LPhNY 'aDNYV VNSh'a PhNYM KY-BV NThN-YHVH ThShV'yH L'aUrM VH'aYSh HYH GBVUr ChYL MTShUr'y.     And Naaman, head of the host of the king of Aram, was a great man before his lord, and accepted of face, for by him had Jehovah given salvation to Aram, and the man was mighty in valour -- leprous.     Naaman princeps militiae regis Syriae erat vir magnus apud dominum suum et honoratus per illum enim dedit Dominus salutem Syriae erat autem vir fortis et dives sed leprosus
 
2.    The Syrians had gone out in bands, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maiden; and she waited on Naaman's wife.     And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.     וארם  יצאו  גדודים 
וישבו  מארץ  ישראל
נערה  קטנה  ותהי

    V'aUrM YTSh'aV GDVDYM VYShBV M'aUrTSh YShUr'aL N'yUrH QTNH VThHY LPhNY 'aShTh N'yMN.     And the Aramaeans have gone out by troops, and they take captive out of the land of Israel a little damsel, and she is before the wife of Naaman,     porro de Syria egressi fuerant latrunculi et captivam duxerant de terra Israhel puellam parvulam quae erat in obsequio uxoris Naaman
 
3.    She said to her mistress, "I wish that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would heal him of his leprosy."     And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.     ותאמר  אל־גברתה 
אחלי  אדני  לפני
הנביא  אשר  בשמרון
אז  יאסף  אתו
מצרעתו׃
    VTh'aMUr 'aL-GBUrThH 'aChLY 'aDNY LPhNY HNBY'a 'aShUr BShMUrVN 'aZ Y'aSPh 'aThV MTShUr'yThV.     and she saith unto her mistress, `O that my lord were before the prophet who is in Samaria; then he doth recover him from his leprosy.`     quae ait ad dominam suam utinam fuisset dominus meus ad prophetam qui est in Samaria profecto curasset eum a lepra quam habet
 
4.    Someone went in, and told his lord, saying, "The maiden who is from the land of Israel said this."     And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.     ויבא  ויגד  לאדניו 
לאמר  כזאת  וכזאת
דברה  הנערה  אשר
מארץ  ישראל׃
    VYB'a VYGD L'aDNYV L'aMUr KZ'aTh VKZ'aTh DBUrH HN'yUrH 'aShUr M'aUrTSh YShUr'aL.     And one goeth in and declareth to his lord, saying, `Thus and thus she hath spoken, the damsel who is from the land of Israel.`     ingressus est itaque Naaman ad dominum suum et nuntiavit ei dicens sic et sic locuta est puella de terra Israhel
 
5.    The king of Syria said, "Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel." He departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of clothing.     And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.     ויאמר  מלך־ארם 
לך־בא  ואשלחה  ספר
אל־מלך  ישראל  וילך
ויקח  בידו  עשר
ככרי־כסף  וששת
אלפים  זהב  ועשר
חליפות  בגדים׃
    VY'aMUr MLK-'aUrM LK-B'a V'aShLChH SPhUr 'aL-MLK YShUr'aL VYLK VYQCh BYDV 'yShUr KKUrY-KSPh VShShTh 'aLPhYM ZHB V'yShUr ChLYPhVTh BGDYM.     And the king of Aram saith, `Go thou, enter, and I send a letter unto the king of Israel;` and he goeth and taketh in his hand ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of garments.     dixitque ei rex Syriae vade et mittam litteras ad regem Israhel qui cum profectus esset et tulisset secum decem talenta argenti et sex milia aureos et decem mutatoria vestimentorum
 
6.    He brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, "Now when this letter has come to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy."     And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.     ויבא  הספר  אל־מלך 
ישראל  לאמר  ועתה
כבוא  הספר  הזה
אליך  הנה  שלחתי
אליך  את־נעמן  עבדי
ואספתו  מצרעתו׃
    VYB'a HSPhUr 'aL-MLK YShUr'aL L'aMUr V'yThH KBV'a HSPhUr HZH 'aLYK HNH ShLChThY 'aLYK 'aTh-N'yMN 'yBDY V'aSPhThV MTShUr'yThV.     And he bringeth in the letter unto the king of Israel, saying, `And now, at the coming in of this letter unto thee, lo, I have sent unto thee Naaman my servant, and thou hast recovered him from his leprosy.`     detulit litteras ad regem Israhel in haec verba cum acceperis epistulam hanc scito quod miserim ad te Naaman servum meum ut cures eum a lepra sua
 
7.    It happened, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he tore his clothes, and said, "Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to heal a man of his leprosy? But consider, please, and see how he seeks a quarrel against me."     And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.     ויהי  כקרא 
מלך־ישראל  את־הספר
ויקרע  בגדיו  ויאמר
האלהים  אני  להמית
ולהחיות  כי־זה  שלח
אלי  לאסף  איש

    VYHY KQUr'a MLK-YShUr'aL 'aTh-HSPhUr VYQUr'y BGDYV VY'aMUr H'aLHYM 'aNY LHMYTh VLHChYVTh KY-ZH ShLCh 'aLY L'aSPh 'aYSh MTShUr'yThV KY 'aK-D'yV-N'a VUr'aV KY-MTh'aNH HV'a LY.     And it cometh to pass, at the king of Israel`s reading the letter, that he rendeth his garments, and saith, `Am I God, to put to death and to keep alive, that this one is sending unto me to recover a man from his leprosy? for surely know, I pray you, and see, for he is presenting himself to me.`     cumque legisset rex Israhel litteras scidit vestimenta sua et ait numquid Deus sum ut occidere possim et vivificare quia iste misit ad me ut curem hominem a lepra sua animadvertite et videte quod occasiones quaerat adversum me
 
8.    It was so, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, "Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel."     And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.     ויהי  כשמע  אלישע 
איש־האלהים  כי־קרע
מלך־ישראל
את־בגדיו  וישלח
אל־  המלך  לאמר  למה
קרעת  בגדיך  יבא־נא
אלי  וידע  כי  יש
נביא  בישראל׃
    VYHY KShM'y 'aLYSh'y 'aYSh-H'aLHYM KY-QUr'y MLK-YShUr'aL 'aTh-BGDYV VYShLCh 'aL- HMLK L'aMUr LMH QUr'yTh BGDYK YB'a-N'a 'aLY VYD'y KY YSh NBY'a BYShUr'aL.     And it cometh to pass, at Elisha the man of God`s hearing that the king of Israel hath rent his garments, that he sendeth unto the king, saying, `Why hast thou rent thy garments? let him come, I pray thee, unto me, and he doth know that there is a prophet in Israel.`     quod cum audisset Heliseus vir Dei scidisse videlicet regem Israhel vestimenta sua misit ad eum dicens quare scidisti vestimenta tua veniat ad me et sciat esse prophetam in Israhel
 
9.    So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariots, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.     So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.     ויבא  נעמן  בסוסו

    VYB'a N'yMN BSVSV VBUrKBV VY'yMD PhThCh-HBYTh L'aLYSh'y.     And Naaman cometh, with his horses and with his chariot, and standeth at the opening of the house for Elisha;     venit ergo Naaman cum equis et curribus et stetit ad ostium domus Helisei
 
10.    Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come again to you, and you shall be clean."     And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.     וישלח  אליו  אלישע 
מלאך  לאמר  הלוך
ורחצת  שבע־פעמים
בירדן  וישב  בשרך
לך  וטהר׃
    VYShLCh 'aLYV 'aLYSh'y ML'aK L'aMUr HLVK VUrChTShTh ShB'y-Ph'yMYM BYUrDN VYShB BShUrK LK VTHUr.     and Elisha sendeth unto him a messenger, saying, `Go, and thou hast washed seven times in Jordan, and thy flesh doth turn back to thee -- and be thou clean.     misitque ad eum Heliseus nuntium dicens vade et lavare septies in Iordane et recipiet sanitatem caro tua atque mundaberis
 
11.    But Naaman was angry, and went away, and said, "Behold, I thought, 'He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of Yahweh his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leper.'     But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.     ויקצף  נעמן  וילך 
ויאמר  הנה  אמרתי
אלי  יצא  יצוא  ועמד
וקרא  בשם־  יהוה
אלהיו  והניף  ידו
אל־המקום  ואסף
המצרע׃
    VYQTShPh N'yMN VYLK VY'aMUr HNH 'aMUrThY 'aLY YTSh'a YTShV'a V'yMD VQUr'a BShM- YHVH 'aLHYV VHNYPh YDV 'aL-HMQVM V'aSPh HMTShUr'y.     And Naaman is wroth, and goeth on, and saith, `Lo, I said, Unto me he doth certainly come out, and hath stood and called in the name of Jehovah his God, and waved his hand over the place, and recovered the leper.     iratus Naaman recedebat dicens putabam quod egrederetur ad me et stans invocaret nomen Domini Dei sui et tangeret manu sua locum leprae et curaret me
 
12.    Aren't Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn't I wash in them, and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage.     Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.     הלא  טוב  אבנה 
ופרפר  נהרות  דמשק
מכל  מימי  ישראל
הלא־ארחץ  בהם
וטהרתי  ויפן  וילך
בחמה׃
    HL'a TVB 'aBNH VPhUrPhUr NHUrVTh DMShQ MKL MYMY YShUr'aL HL'a-'aUrChTSh BHM VTHUrThY VYPhN VYLK BChMH.     Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? do I not wash in them and I have been clean?` and he turneth and goeth on in fury.     numquid non meliores sunt Abana et Pharphar fluvii Damasci omnibus aquis Israhel ut laver in eis et munder cum ergo vertisset se et abiret indignans
 
13.    His servants came near, and spoke to him, and said, "My father, if the prophet had asked you do some great thing, wouldn't you have done it? How much rather then, when he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean?'"     And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?     ויגשו  עבדיו 
וידברו  אליו
ויאמרו  אבי  דבר
גדול  הנביא  דבר
אליך  הלוא  תעשה
ואף  כי־אמר  אליך
רחץ  וטהר׃
    VYGShV 'yBDYV VYDBUrV 'aLYV VY'aMUrV 'aBY DBUr GDVL HNBY'a DBUr 'aLYK HLV'a Th'yShH V'aPh KY-'aMUr 'aLYK UrChTSh VTHUr.     And his servants come nigh, and speak unto him, and say, `My father, a great thing had the prophet spoken unto thee -- dost thou not do it? and surely, when he hath said unto thee, Wash, and be clean.`     accesserunt ad eum servi sui et locuti sunt ei pater si rem grandem dixisset tibi propheta certe facere debueras quanto magis quia nunc dixit tibi lavare et mundaberis
 
14.    Then went he down, and dipped [himself] seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.     Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.     וירד  ויטבל  בירדן

    VYUrD VYTBL BYUrDN ShB'y Ph'yMYM KDBUr 'aYSh H'aLHYM VYShB BShUrV KBShUr N'yUr QTN VYTHUr.     And he goeth down and dippeth in Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh doth turn back as the flesh of a little youth, and is clean.     descendit et lavit in Iordane septies iuxta sermonem viri Dei et restituta est caro eius sicut caro pueri parvuli et mundatus est
 
15.    He returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him; and he said, "See now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel. Now therefore, please take a gift from your servant."     And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.     וישב  אל־איש 
האלהים  הוא
וכל־מחנהו  ויבא
ויעמד  לפניו  ויאמר
הנה־  נא  ידעתי  כי
אין  אלהים
בכל־הארץ  כי
אם־בישראל  ועתה
קח־נא  ברכה  מאת
עבדך׃
    VYShB 'aL-'aYSh H'aLHYM HV'a VKL-MChNHV VYB'a VY'yMD LPhNYV VY'aMUr HNH- N'a YD'yThY KY 'aYN 'aLHYM BKL-H'aUrTSh KY 'aM-BYShUr'aL V'yThH QCh-N'a BUrKH M'aTh 'yBDK.     And he turneth back unto the man of God, he and all his camp, and cometh in, and standeth before him, and saith, `Lo, I pray thee, I have known that there is not a God in all the earth except in Israel; and now, take, I pray thee, a blessing from thy servant.`     reversusque ad virum Dei cum universo comitatu suo venit et stetit coram eo et ait vere scio quod non sit Deus in universa terra nisi tantum in Israhel obsecro itaque ut accipias benedictionem a servo tuo
 
16.    But he said, "As Yahweh lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none." He urged him to take it; but he refused.     But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.     ויאמר  חי־יהוה 
אשר־עמדתי  לפניו
אם־אקח  ויפצר־בו
לקחת  וימאן׃
    VY'aMUr ChY-YHVH 'aShUr-'yMDThY LPhNYV 'aM-'aQCh VYPhTShUr-BV LQChTh VYM'aN.     And he saith, `Jehovah liveth, before whom I have stood -- if I take it;` and he presseth on him to take, and he refuseth.     at ille respondit vivit Dominus ante quem sto quia non accipiam cumque vim faceret penitus non adquievit
 
17.    Naaman said, "If not, then, please let there be given to your servant two mules' burden of earth; for your servant will from now on offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to Yahweh.     And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.     ויאמר  נעמן  ולא 
יתן־נא  לעבדך  משא
צמד־פרדים  אדמה  כי
לוא־יעשה  עוד  עבדך
עלה  וזבח  לאלהים
אחרים  כי
אם־ליהוה׃
    VY'aMUr N'yMN VL'a YThN-N'a L'yBDK MSh'a TShMD-PhUrDYM 'aDMH KY LV'a-Y'yShH 'yVD 'yBDK 'yLH VZBCh L'aLHYM 'aChUrYM KY 'aM-LYHVH.     And Naaman saith, `If not -- let be given, I pray thee, to thy servant, a couple of mules` burden of earth, for thy servant doth make no more burnt-offering and sacrifice to other gods, but to Jehovah.     dixitque Naaman ut vis sed obsecro concede mihi servo tuo ut tollam onus duorum burdonum de terra non enim faciet ultra servus tuus holocaustum aut victimam diis alienis nisi Domino
 
18.    In this thing may Yahweh pardon your servan: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon. When I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, may Yahweh pardon your servant in this thing."     In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing.     לדבר  הזה  יסלח 
יהוה  לעבדך  בבוא

    LDBUr HZH YSLCh YHVH L'yBDK BBV'a 'aDNY BYTh-UrMVN LHShThChVTh ShMH VHV'a NSh'yN 'yL-YDY VHShThChVYThY BYTh UrMN BHShThChVYThY BYTh UrMN YSLCh-N'a YHVH L'yBDK BDBUr HZH.     For this thing Jehovah be propitious to thy servant, in the coming in of my lord into the house of Rimmon to bow himself there, and he was supported by my hand, and I bowed myself in the house of Rimmon; for my bowing myself in the house of Rimmon Jehovah be propitious, I pray thee, to thy servant in this thing.`     hoc autem solum est de quo depreceris Dominum pro servo tuo quando ingreditur dominus meus templum Remmon ut adoret et illo innitente super manum meam si adoravero in templo Remmon adorante me in eodem loco ut ignoscat mihi Dominus servo tuo pro hac re
 
19.    He said to him, "Go in peace." So he departed from him a little way.     And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.     ויאמר  לו  לך  לשלום

כברת־ארץ׃
    VY'aMUr LV LK LShLVM VYLK M'aThV KBUrTh-'aUrTSh.     And he saith to him, `Go in peace.` And he goeth from him a kibrath of land,     qui dixit ei vade in pace abiit ergo ab eo electo terrae tempore
 
20.    But Gehazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, "Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought. As Yahweh lives, I will run after him, and take something from him."     But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.     ויאמר  גיחזי  נער 
אלישע  איש־האלהים
הנה  חשך  אדני
את־נעמן  הארמי  הזה
מקחת  מידו  את
אשר־הביא  חי־יהוה
כי־אם־רצתי  אחריו
ולקחתי  מאתו
מאומה׃
    VY'aMUr GYChZY N'yUr 'aLYSh'y 'aYSh-H'aLHYM HNH ChShK 'aDNY 'aTh-N'yMN H'aUrMY HZH MQChTh MYDV 'aTh 'aShUr-HBY'a ChY-YHVH KY-'aM-UrTShThY 'aChUrYV VLQChThY M'aThV M'aVMH.     And Gehazi, servant of Elisha the man of God, saith, `Lo, my lord hath spared Naaman this Aramaean, not to receive from his hand that which he brought; Jehovah liveth; surely if I have run after him, then I have taken from him something.`     dixitque Giezi puer viri Dei pepercit dominus meus Naaman Syro isti ut non acciperet ab eo quae adtulit vivit Dominus quia curram post eum et accipiam ab eo aliquid
 
21.    So Gehazi followed after Naaman. When Naaman saw one running after him, he came down from the chariot to meet him, and said, "Is all well?"     So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?     וירדף  גיחזי  אחרי

רץ  אחריו  ויפל  מעל
המרכבה  לקראתו
ויאמר  השלום׃
    VYUrDPh GYChZY 'aChUrY N'yMN VYUr'aH N'yMN UrTSh 'aChUrYV VYPhL M'yL HMUrKBH LQUr'aThV VY'aMUr HShLVM.     And Gehazi pursueth after Naaman, and Naaman seeth one running after him, and alighteth from off the chariot to meet him, and saith, `Is there peace?`     et secutus est Giezi post tergum Naaman quem cum vidisset ille currentem ad se desilivit de curru in occursum eius et ait rectene sunt omnia
 
22.    He said, "All is well. My master has sent me, saying, 'Behold, even now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two changes of clothing.'"     And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.     ויאמר  שלום  אדני 
שלחני  לאמר  הנה
עתה  זה  באו  אלי
שני־נערים  מהר
אפרים  מבני
הנביאים  תנה־נא
להם  ככר־כסף  ושתי

    VY'aMUr ShLVM 'aDNY ShLChNY L'aMUr HNH 'yThH ZH B'aV 'aLY ShNY-N'yUrYM MHUr 'aPhUrYM MBNY HNBY'aYM ThNH-N'a LHM KKUr-KSPh VShThY ChLPhVTh BGDYM.     And he saith, `Peace; my lord hath sent me, saying, Lo, now, this, come unto me have two young men from the hill-country of Ephraim, of the sons of the prophets; give, I pray thee, to them, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.`     et ille ait recte dominus meus misit me dicens modo venerunt ad me duo adulescentes de monte Ephraim ex filiis prophetarum da eis talentum argenti et vestes mutatorias duplices
 
23.    Naaman said, "Be pleased to take two talents." He urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of clothing, and laid them on two of his servants; and they carried them before him.     And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.     ויאמר  נעמן  הואל 
קח  ככרים  ויפרץ־בו

בשני  חרטים  ושתי
חלפות  בגדים  ויתן
אל־שני  נעריו
וישאו  לפניו׃
    VY'aMUr N'yMN HV'aL QCh KKUrYM VYPhUrTSh-BV VYTShUr KKUrYM KSPh BShNY ChUrTYM VShThY ChLPhVTh BGDYM VYThN 'aL-ShNY N'yUrYV VYSh'aV LPhNYV.     And Naaman saith, `Be pleased, take two talents;` and he urgeth on him, and bindeth two talents of silver in two purses, and two changes of garments, and giveth unto two of his young men, and they bear before him;     dixitque Naaman melius est ut accipias duo talenta et coegit eum ligavitque duo talenta argenti in duobus saccis et duplicia vestimenta et inposuit duobus pueris suis qui et portaverunt coram eo
 
24.    When he came to the hill, he took them from their hand, and stored them in the house. Then he let the men go, and they departed.     And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.     ויבא  אל־העפל  ויקח 
מידם  ויפקד  בבית
וישלח  את־האנשים
וילכו׃
    VYB'a 'aL-H'yPhL VYQCh MYDM VYPhQD BBYTh VYShLCh 'aTh-H'aNShYM VYLKV.     and he cometh in unto the high place, and taketh out of their hand, and layeth up in the house, and sendeth away the men, and they go.     cumque venisset iam vesperi tulit de manu eorum et reposuit in domo dimisitque viros et abierunt
 
25.    But he went in, and stood before his master. Elisha said to him, "Where did you come from, Gehazi?" He said, "Your servant went nowhere."     But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.     והוא־בא  ויעמד 
אל־אדניו  ויאמר
אליו  אלישע  מאן
גחזי  ויאמר  לא־
הלך  עבדך  אנה
ואנה׃
    VHV'a-B'a VY'yMD 'aL-'aDNYV VY'aMUr 'aLYV 'aLYSh'y M'aN GChZY VY'aMUr L'a- HLK 'yBDK 'aNH V'aNH.     And he hath come in, and doth stand by his lord, and Elisha saith unto him, `Whence -- Gehazi?` and he saith, `Thy servant went not hither or thither.`     ipse autem ingressus stetit coram domino suo et dixit Heliseus unde venis Giezi qui respondit non ivit servus tuus quoquam
 
26.    He said to him, "Didn't my heart go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive groves and vineyards, and sheep and cattle, and male servants and female servants?     And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?     ויאמר  אליו  לא־לבי 
הלך  כאשר  הפך־איש
מעל  מרכבתו  לקראתך
העת  לקחת  את־הכסף
ולקחת  בגדים
וזיתים  וכרמים
וצאן  ובקר  ועבדים
ושפחות׃
    VY'aMUr 'aLYV L'a-LBY HLK K'aShUr HPhK-'aYSh M'yL MUrKBThV LQUr'aThK H'yTh LQChTh 'aTh-HKSPh VLQChTh BGDYM VZYThYM VKUrMYM VTSh'aN VBQUr V'yBDYM VShPhChVTh.     And he saith unto him, `My heart went not when the man turned from off his chariot to meet thee; is it a time to take silver, and to take garments, and olives, and vines, and flock, and herd, and men-servants, and maid-servants?     at ille nonne ait cor meum in praesenti erat quando reversus est homo de curru suo in occursum tui nunc igitur accepisti argentum et accepisti vestes ut emas oliveta et vineta et oves et boves et servos et ancillas
 
27.    Therefore the leprosy of Naaman will cling to you and to your seed forever." He went out from his presence a leper, as white as snow.     The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.     וצרעת  נעמן 
תדבק־בך  ובזרעך
לעולם  ויצא  מלפניו
מצרע  כשלג׃
    VTShUr'yTh N'yMN ThDBQ-BK VBZUr'yK L'yVLM VYTSh'a MLPhNYV MTShUr'y KShLG.     yea, the leprosy of Naaman doth cleave to thee, and to thy seed, -- to the age;` and he goeth out from before him -- leprous as snow.     sed et lepra Naaman adherebit tibi et semini tuo in sempiternum et egressus est ab eo leprosus quasi nix
