| 2. | for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue. | For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. |

KY PhY UrSh'y VPhY-MUrMH 'yLY PhThChV DBUrV 'aThY LShVN ShQUr. | For the mouth of wickedness, and the mouth of deceit, Against me they have opened, They have spoken with me -- A tongue of falsehood, and words of hatred! | Deus laudabilis mihi ne taceas quia os impii et os dolosi contra me apertum est | |||||

| 10. | Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins. | Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. |
ונוע ינועו בניו ושאלו ודרשו מחרבותיהם׃ |
VNV'y YNV'yV BNYV VSh'aLV VDUrShV MChUrBVThYHM. | And wander continually do his sons, Yea, they have begged, And have sought out of their dry places. | instabiles vagentur liberi eius et mendicent et quaerantur in parietinis suis | |||||
| 11. | Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor. | Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour. |
ינקש נושה לכל־אשר־לו ויבזו זרים יגיעו׃ |
YNQSh NVShH LKL-'aShUr-LV VYBZV ZUrYM YGY'yV. | An exactor layeth a snare for all that he hath, And strangers spoil his labour. | scrutetur exactor universa quae habet et diripiant alieni laborem eius | |||||
| 12. | Let there be none to extend kindness to him, neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children. | Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children. |
אל־יהי־לו משך חסד ואל־יהי חונן ליתומיו׃ |
'aL-YHY-LV MShK ChSD V'aL-YHY ChVNN LYThVMYV. | He hath none to extend kindness, Nor is there one showing favour to his orphans. | non sit qui eius misereatur nec qui clemens sit in pupillos eius | |||||
| 13. | Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out. | Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. |

| 14. | Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by Yahweh. Don't let the sin of his mother be blotted out. | Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. |

YZKUr 'yVN 'aBThYV 'aL-YHVH VChT'aTh 'aMV 'aL-ThMCh. | The iniquity of his fathers Is remembered unto Jehovah, And the sin of his mother is not blotted out. | redeat in memoria iniquitas patrum eius apud Deum et iniquitas matris eius ne deleatur | |||||
| 15. | Let them be before Yahweh continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth; | Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth. |

| 16. | because he didn't remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them. | Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart. |

Y'yN 'aShUr L'a ZKUr 'yShVTh ChSD VYUrDPh 'aYSh-'yNY V'aBYVN VNK'aH LBB LMVThTh. | Because that he hath not remembered to do kindness, And pursueth the poor man and needy, And the smitten of heart -- to slay, | eo quod non est recordatus facere misericordiam | |||||
| 17. | Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn't delight in blessing, and it was far from him. | As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him. |
ויאהב קללה ותבואהו ולא־חפץ בברכה ותרחק ממנו׃ |
VY'aHB QLLH VThBV'aHV VL'a-ChPhTSh BBUrKH VThUrChQ MMNV. | And he loveth reviling, and it meeteth him, And he hath not delighted in blessing, And it is far from him. | et persecutus est virum inopem et pauperem et conpunctum corde ut interficeret | |||||
| 18. | He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones. | As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones. |
וילבש קללה כמדו ותבא כמים בקרבו וכשמן בעצמותיו׃ |
VYLBSh QLLH KMDV VThB'a KMYM BQUrBV VKShMN B'yTShMVThYV. | And he putteth on reviling as his robe, And it cometh in as water into his midst, And as oil into his bones. | et dilexit maledictionem quae veniet ei et noluit benedictionem quae elongabitur ab eo et indutus est maledictione quasi vestimento suo et ingredietur quasi aqua in viscera eius et quasi oleum in ossa eius | |||||
| 19. | Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him. | Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually. |
תהי־לו כבגד יעטה ולמזח תמיד יחגרה׃ |
ThHY-LV KBGD Y'yTH VLMZCh ThMYD YChGUrH. | It is to him as apparel -- he covereth himself, And for a continual girdle he girdeth it on. | sit ei quasi pallium quo circumdatur et quasi cingulum quo semper accingitur | |||||
| 20. | This is the reward of my adversaries from Yahweh, of those who speak evil against my soul. | Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul. |
זאת פעלת שטני מאת יהוה והדברים רע על־נפשי׃ |
Z'aTh Ph'yLTh ShTNY M'aTh YHVH VHDBUrYM Ur'y 'yL-NPhShY. | This is the wage of mine accusers from Jehovah, And of those speaking evil against my soul. | haec est retributio his qui adversantur mihi a Domino et qui loquuntur malum contra animam meam | |||||
| 21. | But deal with me, Yahweh the Lord,{The word translated "Lord" is "Adonai."} for your name's sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me; | But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me. |
ואתה יהוה אדני עשה־אתי למען שמך כי־טוב חסדך הצילני׃ |
V'aThH YHVH 'aDNY 'yShH-'aThY LM'yN ShMK KY-TVB ChSDK HTShYLNY. | And Thou, O Jehovah Lord, Deal with me for Thy name`s sake, Because Thy kindness is good, deliver me. | tu autem Deus Domine fac mecum propter nomen tuum quoniam bona est misericordia tua libera me | |||||
| 22. | for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me. | For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. |
כי־עני ואביון אנכי ולבי חלל בקרבי׃ |
KY-'yNY V'aBYVN 'aNKY VLBY ChLL BQUrBY. | For I am poor and needy, And my heart hath been pierced in my midst. | quoniam egenus et pauper sum et cor meum vulneratum est intrinsecus | |||||
| 23. | I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust. | I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust. |
כצל־כנטותו נהלכתי ננערתי כארבה׃ |
KTShL-KNTVThV NHLKThY NN'yUrThY K'aUrBH. | As a shadow when it is stretched out I have gone, I have been driven away as a locust. | quasi umbra cum inclinatur abductus sum et excussus quasi lucusta | |||||
| 24. | My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat. | My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness. |
ברכי כשלו מצום ובשרי כחש משמן׃ |
BUrKY KShLV MTShVM VBShUrY KChSh MShMN. | My knees have been feeble from fasting, And my flesh hath failed of fatness. | genua mea vacillaverunt a ieiunio et caro mea mutata est absque oleo | |||||
| 25. | I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head. | I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads. |
ואני הייתי חרפה להם יראוני יניעון ראשם׃ |
V'aNY HYYThY ChUrPhH LHM YUr'aVNY YNY'yVN Ur'aShM. | And I -- I have been a reproach to them, They see me, they shake their head. | et ego factus sum obprobrium eis videntes me moverunt caput suum | |||||
| 26. | Help me, Yahweh, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness; | Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy: |
עזרני יהוה אלהי הושיעני כחסדך׃ |
'yZUrNY YHVH 'aLHY HVShY'yNY KChSDK. | Help me, O Jehovah my God, Save me, according to Thy kindness. | adiuva me Domine Deus meus salva me secundum misericordiam tuam | |||||
| 27. | that they may know that this is your hand; that you, Yahweh, have done it. | That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it. |
וידעו כי־ידך זאת אתה יהוה עשיתה׃ |
VYD'yV KY-YDK Z'aTh 'aThH YHVH 'yShYThH. | And they know that this is Thy hand, Thou, O Jehovah, Thou hast done it. | et sciant quoniam manus tua haec tu Domine fecisti eam | |||||
| 28. | They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice. | Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice. |
יקללו־המה ואתה תברך קמו ויבשו ועבדך ישמח׃ |
YQLLV-HMH V'aThH ThBUrK QMV VYBShV V'yBDK YShMCh. | They revile, and Thou dost bless, They have risen, and are ashamed, And Thy servant doth rejoice. | maledicent illi et tu benedices restiterunt et confundentur servus autem tuus laetabitur | |||||
| 29. | Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe. | Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle. |
ילבשו שוטני כלמה ויעטו כמעיל בשתם׃ |
YLBShV ShVTNY KLMH VY'yTV KM'yYL BShThM. | Mine accusers put on blushing, and are covered, As an upper robe is their shame. | induantur adversarii mei confusione et operiantur quasi indumento confusione sua | |||||
| 30. | I will give great thanks to Yahweh with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude. | I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude. |
אודה יהוה מאד בפי ובתוך רבים אהללנו׃ |
'aVDH YHVH M'aD BPhY VBThVK UrBYM 'aHLLNV. | I thank Jehovah greatly with my mouth, And in the midst of many I praise Him, | confitebor Domino vehementer in ore meo et in medio populorum laudabo eum | |||||
| 31. | For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul. | For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul. |
כי־יעמד לימין אביון להושיע משפטי נפשו׃ |
KY-Y'yMD LYMYN 'aBYVN LHVShY'y MShPhTY NPhShV. | For He standeth at the right hand of the needy, To save from those judging his soul. | quoniam stabit a dextris pauperis ut salvet a iudicibus animam eius | |||||
