1.    Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. Oh, deliver me from deceitful and wicked men.     Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.     שפטני  אלהים  וריבה 
ריבי  מגוי  לא־חסיד
מאיש־מרמה  ועולה

    ShPhTNY 'aLHYM VUrYBH UrYBY MGVY L'a-ChSYD M'aYSh-MUrMH V'yVLH ThPhLTNY.     Judge me, O God, And plead my cause against a nation not pious, From a man of deceit and perverseness Thou dost deliver me,     iudica me Deus et discerne causam meam a gente non sancta a viro doloso et iniquo salva me
 
2.    For you are the God of my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?     For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?     כי־אתה  אלהי  מעוזי 
למה  זנחתני
למה־קדר  אתהלך
בלחץ  אויב׃
    KY-'aThH 'aLHY M'yVZY LMH ZNChThNY LMH-QDUr 'aThHLK BLChTSh 'aVYB.     For thou art the God of my strength. Why hast Thou cast me off? Why mourning do I go up and down, In the oppression of an enemy?     tu enim Deus fortitudo mea quare proiecisti me quare tristis incedo adfligente inimico
 
3.    Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill, To your tents.     O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.     שלח־אורך  ואמתך 
המה  ינחוני
יביאוני
אל־הר־קדשך
ואל־משכנותיך׃
    ShLCh-'aVUrK V'aMThK HMH YNChVNY YBY'aVNY 'aL-HUr-QDShK V'aL-MShKNVThYK.     Send forth Thy light and Thy truth, They -- they lead me, they bring me in, Unto Thy holy hill, and unto Thy tabernacles.     mitte lucem tuam et veritatem tuam ipsae ducent me et introducent ad montem sanctum tuum et ad tabernaculum tuum
 
4.    Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.     Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.     ואבואה  אל־מזבח 
אלהים  אל־אל  שמחת
גילי  ואודך  בכנור
אלהים  אלהי׃
    V'aBV'aH 'aL-MZBCh 'aLHYM 'aL-'aL ShMChTh GYLY V'aVDK BKNVUr 'aLHYM 'aLHY.     And I go in unto the altar of God, Unto God, the joy of my rejoicing. And I thank Thee with a harp, O God, my God.     et introibo ad altare tuum ad Deum laetitiae et exultationis meae et confitebor tibi in cithara Deus Deus meus
 
5.    Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.     Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.     מה־תשתוחחי  נפשי 
ומה־תהמי  עלי
הוחילי  לאלהים
כי־עוד  אודנו
ישועת  פני  ואלהי׃
    MH-ThShThVChChY NPhShY VMH-ThHMY 'yLY HVChYLY L'aLHYM KY-'yVD 'aVDNV YShV'yTh PhNY V'aLHY.     What! bowest thou thyself, O my soul? And what! art thou troubled within me? Wait for God, for still I confess Him, The salvation of my countenance, and my God!     quare incurvaris anima mea et quare conturbas me expecta Dominum quoniam adhuc confitebor ei salutibus vultus mei et Deo meo
