| 16. | But to the wicked God says, "What right do you have to declare my statutes, that you have taken my covenant on your lips, | But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? |
ולרשע אמר אלהים מה־לך לספר חקי ותשא בריתי עלי־פיך׃ |
VLUrSh'y 'aMUr 'aLHYM MH-LK LSPhUr ChQY VThSh'a BUrYThY 'yLY-PhYK. | And to the wicked hath God said: What to thee -- to recount My statutes? | 17. | seeing you hate instruction, and throw my words behind you? | Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee. |
ואתה שנאת מוסר ותשלך דברי אחריך׃ |

| 18. | When you saw a thief, you consented with him, and have participated with adulterers. | When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. |

| 19. | "You give your mouth to evil. Your tongue frames deceit. | Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. |
פיך שלחת ברעה ולשונך תצמיד מרמה׃ |
PhYK ShLChTh BUr'yH VLShVNK ThTShMYD MUrMH. | Thy mouth thou hast sent forth with evil, And thy tongue joineth deceit together, | os tuum dimisisti ad malitiam et lingua tua concinnavit dolum | |||||
| 20. | You sit and speak against your brother. You slander your own mother's son. | Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son. |
תשב באחיך תדבר בבן־אמך תתן־דפי׃ |

| 21. | You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that the I was just like you. I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes. | These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. |

BYNV-N'a Z'aTh ShKChY 'aLVH PhN-'aTUrPh V'aYN MTShYL. | Understand this, I pray you, Ye who are forgetting God, Lest I tear, and there is no deliverer. | intellegite hoc qui obliviscimini Deum ne forte capiam et non sit qui liberet | |||||
| 23. | Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and prepares his way so that I will show God's salvation to him." | Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. |
