1.    The words of king Lemuel; the oracle which his mother taught him.     The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.     דברי  למואל  מלך 
משא  אשר־יסרתו

2.    "Oh, my son! Oh, son of my womb! Oh, son of my vows!     What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?     מה־ברי 
ומה־בר־בטני  ומה
בר־נדרי׃
    MH-BUrY VMH-BUr-BTNY VMH BUr-NDUrY.     `What, my son? and what, son of my womb? And what, son of my vows?     quid dilecte mi quid dilecte uteri mei quid dilecte votorum meorum
 
3.    Don't give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings.     Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.     אל־תתן  לנשים  חילך 
ודרכיך  למחות
מלכין׃
    'aL-ThThN LNShYM ChYLK VDUrKYK LMChVTh MLKYN.     Give not to women thy strength, And thy ways to wiping away of kings.     ne dederis mulieribus substantiam tuam et vias tuas ad delendos reges
 
4.    It is not for kings, Lemuel; it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes to say, 'Where is strong drink?'     It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:     אל  למלכים  למואל 
אל  למלכים  שתו־יין
ולרוזנים  או  שכר׃
    'aL LMLKYM LMV'aL 'aL LMLKYM ShThV-YYN VLUrVZNYM 'aV ShKUr.     Not for kings, O Lemuel, Not for kings, to drink wine, And for princes a desire of strong drink.     noli regibus o Lamuhel noli regibus dare vinum quia nullum secretum est ubi regnat ebrietas
 
5.    lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the justice due to anyone who is afflicted.     Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.     פן־ישתה  וישכח 
מחקק  וישנה  דין
כל־בני־עני׃
    PhN-YShThH VYShKCh MChQQ VYShNH DYN KL-BNY-'yNY.     Lest he drink, and forget the decree, And change the judgment of any of the sons of affliction.     ne forte bibat et obliviscatur iudiciorum et mutet causam filiorum pauperis
 
6.    Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish; and wine to the bitter in soul:     Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.     תנו־שכר  לאובד 
ויין  למרי  נפש׃
    ThNV-ShKUr L'aVBD VYYN LMUrY NPhSh.     Give strong drink to the perishing, And wine to the bitter in soul,     date siceram maerentibus et vinum his qui amaro sunt animo
 
7.    Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.     Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.     ישתה  וישכח  רישו 
ועמלו  לא
יזכר־עוד׃
    YShThH VYShKCh UrYShV V'yMLV L'a YZKUr-'yVD.     He drinketh, and forgetteth his poverty, And his misery he remembereth not again.     bibant ut obliviscantur egestatis suae et doloris non recordentur amplius
 
8.    Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate.     Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.     פתח־פיך  לאלם 
אל־דין  כל־בני
חלוף׃
    PhThCh-PhYK L'aLM 'aL-DYN KL-BNY ChLVPh.     Open thy mouth for the dumb, For the right of all sons of change.     aperi os tuum muto et causis omnium filiorum qui pertranseunt
 
9.    Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."     Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.     פתח־פיך  שפט־צדק

12.    She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.     She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.     גמלתהו  טוב  ולא־רע 
כל  ימי  חייה׃
    GMLThHV TVB VL'a-Ur'y KL YMY ChYYH.     She hath done him good, and not evil, All days of her life.     gimel reddet ei bonum et non malum omnibus diebus vitae suae
 
13.    She seeks wool and flax, and works eagerly with her hands.     She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.     דרשה  צמר  ופשתים 
ותעש  בחפץ  כפיה׃
    DUrShH TShMUr VPhShThYM VTh'ySh BChPhTSh KPhYH.     She hath sought wool and flax, And with delight she worketh with her hands.     deleth quaesivit lanam et linum et operata est consilio manuum suarum
 
14.    She is like the merchant ships. She brings her bread from afar.     She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.     היתה  כאניות  סוחר 
ממרחק  תביא  לחמה׃
    HYThH K'aNYVTh SVChUr MMUrChQ ThBY'a LChMH.     She hath been as ships of the merchant, From afar she bringeth in her bread.     he facta est quasi navis institoris de longe portat panem suum
 
15.    She rises also while it is yet night, gives food to her household, and portions for her servant girls.     She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.     ותקם  בעוד  לילה 
ותתן  טרף  לביתה
וחק  לנערתיה׃
    VThQM B'yVD LYLH VThThN TUrPh LBYThH VChQ LN'yUrThYH.     Yea, she riseth while yet night, And giveth food to her household, And a portion to her damsels.     vav et de nocte surrexit deditque praedam domesticis suis et cibaria ancillis suis
 
16.    She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard.     She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.     זממה  שדה  ותקחהו 
מפרי  כפיה  נטע
כרם׃
    ZMMH ShDH VThQChHV MPhUrY KPhYH NT'y KUrM.     She hath considered a field, and taketh it, From the fruit of her hands she hath planted a vineyard.     zai consideravit agrum et emit eum de fructu manuum suarum plantavit vineam
 
17.    She girds her waist with strength, and makes her arms strong.     She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.     חגרה  בעוז  מתניה 
ותאמץ  זרעותיה׃
    ChGUrH B'yVZ MThNYH VTh'aMTSh ZUr'yVThYH.     She hath girded with might her loins, And doth strengthen her arms.     heth accinxit fortitudine lumbos suos et roboravit brachium suum
 
18.    She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp doesn't go out by night.     She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.     טעמה  כי־טוב  סחרה 
לא־יכבה  בליל  נרה׃
    T'yMH KY-TVB SChUrH L'a-YKBH BLYL NUrH.     She hath perceived when her merchandise is good, Her lamp is not extinguished in the night.     teth gustavit quia bona est negotiatio eius non extinguetur in nocte lucerna illius
 
19.    She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.     She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.     ידיה  שלחה  בכישור 
וכפיה  תמכו  פלך׃
    YDYH ShLChH BKYShVUr VKPhYH ThMKV PhLK.     Her hands she hath sent forth on a spindle, And her hands have held a distaff.     ioth manum suam misit ad fortia et digiti eius adprehenderunt fusum
 
20.    She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy.     She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.     כפה  פרשה  לעני 
וידיה  שלחה
לאביון׃

22.    She makes for herself carpets of tapestry. Her clothing is fine linen and purple.     She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.     מרבדים  עשתה־לה  שש 
וארגמן  לבושה׃
    MUrBDYM 'yShThH-LH ShSh V'aUrGMN LBVShH.     Ornamental coverings she hath made for herself, Silk and purple are her clothing.     mem stragulam vestem fecit sibi byssus et purpura indumentum eius
 
23.    Her husband is respected in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.     Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.     נודע  בשערים  בעלה 
בשבתו
עם־זקני־ארץ׃
    NVD'y BSh'yUrYM B'yLH BShBThV 'yM-ZQNY-'aUrTSh.     Known in the gates is her husband, In his sitting with elders of the land.     nun nobilis in portis vir eius quando sederit cum senatoribus terrae
 
24.    She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant.     She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.     סדין  עשתה  ותמכר 
וחגור  נתנה
לכנעני׃
    SDYN 'yShThH VThMKUr VChGVUr NThNH LKN'yNY.     Linen garments she hath made, and selleth, And a girdle she hath given to the merchant.     samech sindonem fecit et vendidit et cingulum tradidit Chananeo
 
25.    Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come.     Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.     עז־והדר  לבושה 
ותשחק  ליום  אחרון׃
    'yZ-VHDUr LBVShH VThShChQ LYVM 'aChUrVN.     Strength and honour are her clothing, And she rejoiceth at a latter day.     ain fortitudo et decor indumentum eius et ridebit in die novissimo
 
26.    She opens her mouth with wisdom. Faithful instruction is on her tongue.     She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.     פיה  פתחה  בחכמה 
ותורת־חסד
על־לשונה׃
    PhYH PhThChH BChKMH VThVUrTh-ChSD 'yL-LShVNH.     Her mouth she hath opened in wisdom, And the law of kindness is on her tongue.     phe os suum aperuit sapientiae et lex clementiae in lingua eius
 
27.    She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn't eat the bread of idleness.     She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.     צופיה  הליכות  ביתה 
ולחם  עצלות  לא

28.    Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her:     Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.     קמו  בניה  ויאשרוה 
בעלה  ויהללה׃
    QMV BNYH VY'aShUrVH B'yLH VYHLLH.     Her sons have risen up, and pronounce her happy, Her husband, and he praiseth her,     coph surrexerunt filii eius et beatissimam praedicaverunt vir eius et laudavit eam
 
29.    "Many women do noble things, but you excel them all."     Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.     רבות  בנות  עשו  חיל 
ואת  עלית  על־כלנה׃
    UrBVTh BNVTh 'yShV ChYL V'aTh 'yLYTh 'yL-KLNH.     `Many are the daughters who have done worthily, Thou hast gone up above them all.`     res multae filiae congregaverunt divitias tu supergressa es universas
 
30.    Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised.     Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.     שקר  החן  והבל  היפי 
אשה  יראת־יהוה  היא
תתהלל׃
    ShQUr HChN VHBL HYPhY 'aShH YUr'aTh-YHVH HY'a ThThHLL.     The grace is false, and the beauty is vain, A woman fearing Jehovah, she may boast herself.     sin fallax gratia et vana est pulchritudo mulier timens Dominum ipsa laudabitur
 
31.    Give her of the fruit of her hands! Let her works praise her in the gates!     Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.     תנו־לה  מפרי  ידיה 
ויהללוה  בשערים
מעשיה׃
