1.    In the year that Tartan came to Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, and he fought against Ashdod and took it;     In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;     בשנת  בא  תרתן 
אשדודה  בשלח  אתו
סרגון  מלך  אשור
וילחם  באשדוד
וילכדה׃
    BShNTh B'a ThUrThN 'aShDVDH BShLCh 'aThV SUrGVN MLK 'aShVUr VYLChM B'aShDVD VYLKDH.     In the year of the coming in of Tartan to Ashdod, when Sargon king of Asshur sendeth him, and he fighteth against Ashdod, and captureth it,     in anno quo ingressus est Tharthan in Azotum cum misisset eum Sargon rex Assyriorum et pugnasset contra Azotum et cepisset eam
 
2.    at that time Yahweh spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, "Go, and loosen the sackcloth from off your waist, and take your shoes from off your feet." He did so, walking naked and barefoot.     At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.     בעת  ההיא  דבר  יהוה 
ביד  ישעיהו
בן־אמוץ  לאמר  לך
ופתחת  השק  מעל
מתניך  ונעלך  תחלץ
מעל  רגליך  ויעש  כן
הלך  ערום  ויחף׃
    B'yTh HHY'a DBUr YHVH BYD YSh'yYHV BN-'aMVTSh L'aMUr LK VPhThChTh HShQ M'yL MThNYK VN'yLK ThChLTSh M'yL UrGLYK VY'ySh KN HLK 'yUrVM VYChPh.     at that time spake Jehovah by the hand of Isaiah son of Amoz, saying, `Go, and thou hast loosed the sackcloth from off thy loins, and thy sandal thou dost draw from off thy foot,` and he doth so, going naked and barefoot.     in tempore illo locutus est Dominus in manu Isaiae filii Amos dicens vade et solve saccum de lumbis tuis et calciamenta tua tolle de pedibus tuis et fecit sic vadens nudus et disculciatus
 
3.    Yahweh said, "As my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and a wonder concerning Egypt and concerning Ethiopia,     And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;     ויאמר  יהוה  כאשר 
הלך  עבדי  ישעיהו
ערום  ויחף  שלש
שנים  אות  ומופת
על־מצרים  ועל־כוש׃
    VY'aMUr YHVH K'aShUr HLK 'yBDY YSh'yYHV 'yUrVM VYChPh ShLSh ShNYM 'aVTh VMVPhTh 'yL-MTShUrYM V'yL-KVSh.     And Jehovah saith, `As My servant Isaiah hath gone naked and barefoot three years, a sign and a wonder for Egypt and for Cush,     et dixit Dominus sicut ambulavit servus meus Isaias nudus et disculciatus trium annorum signum et portentum erit super Aegyptum et super Aethiopiam
 
4.    so the king of Assyria will lead away the captives of Egypt and the exiles of Ethiopia, young and old, naked and barefoot, and with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.     So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.     כן  ינהג  מלך־אשור 
את־שבי  מצרים
ואת־גלות  כוש
נערים  וזקנים  ערום
ויחף  וחשופי  שת
ערות  מצרים׃
    KN YNHG MLK-'aShVUr 'aTh-ShBY MTShUrYM V'aTh-GLVTh KVSh N'yUrYM VZQNYM 'yUrVM VYChPh VChShVPhY ShTh 'yUrVTh MTShUrYM.     so doth the king of Asshur lead the captivity of Egypt, and the removal of Cush, young and old, naked and barefoot, with seat uncovered -- the nakedness of Egypt;     sic minabit rex Assyriorum captivitatem Aegypti et transmigrationem Aethiopiae iuvenum et senum nudam et disculciatam discopertis natibus ignominiam Aegypti
 
5.    They will be dismayed and confounded, because of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.     And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.     וחתו  ובשו  מכוש 
מבטם  ומן־מצרים
תפארתם׃
    VChThV VBShV MKVSh MBTM VMN-MTShUrYM ThPh'aUrThM.     and they have been affrighted and ashamed of Cush their confidence, and of Egypt their beauty,     et timebunt et confundentur ab Aethiopia spe sua et ab Aegypto gloria sua
 
6.    The inhabitants of this coast land will say in that day, 'Behold, this is our expectation, where we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria. And we, how will we escape?'"     And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?     ואמר  ישב  האי  הזה 
ביום  ההוא  הנה־כה
מבטנו  אשר־נסנו  שם
לעזרה  להנצל  מפני
מלך  אשור  ואיך
נמלט  אנחנו׃
    V'aMUr YShB H'aY HZH BYVM HHV'a HNH-KH MBTNV 'aShUr-NSNV ShM L'yZUrH LHNTShL MPhNY MLK 'aShVUr V'aYK NMLT 'aNChNV.     and the inhabitant of this isle hath said in that day -- Lo, thus is our trust, Whither we have fled for help, To be delivered from the king of Asshur, And how do we escape -- we?`     et dicet habitator insulae huius in die illa ecce haec erat spes nostra ad quos confugimus in auxilium ut liberaret nos a facie regis Assyriorum et quomodo effugere poterimus nos
