1.    Woe to you who destroy, but you weren't destroyed; and who betray, but nobody betrayed you! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed; and when you have made an end of betrayal, you will be betrayed.     Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.     הוי  שודד  ואתה  לא

    HVY ShVDD V'aThH L'a ShDVD VBVGD VL'a-BGDV BV KHThMK ShVDD ThVShD KNLThK LBGD YBGDV-BK.     Wo, spoiler! and thou not spoiled, And treacherous! and they dealt not treacherously with thee, When thou dost finish, O spoiler, thou art spoiled, When thou dost finish dealing treacherously, They deal treacherously with thee.     vae qui praedaris nonne et ipse praedaberis et qui spernis nonne et ipse sperneris cum consummaveris depraedationem depraedaberis cum fatigatus desiveris contemnere contemneris
 
2.    Yahweh, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.     O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.     יהוה  חננו  לך

    YHVH ChNNV LK QVYNV HYH ZUr'yM LBQUrYM 'aPh-YShV'yThNV B'yTh TShUrH.     O Jehovah, favour us, for thee we have waited, Be their arm, in the mornings, Yea, our salvation in time of adversity.     Domine miserere nostri te expectavimus esto brachium eorum in mane et salus nostra in tempore tribulationis
 
3.    At the noise of the thunder, the peoples have fled. When you lift yourself up, the nations are scattered.     At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.     מקול  המון  נדדו 
עמים  מרוממתך  נפצו
גוים׃
    MQVL HMVN NDDV 'yMYM MUrVMMThK NPhTShV GVYM.     From the voice of a multitude fled have peoples, From thine exaltation scattered have been nations.     a voce angeli fugerunt populi ab exaltatione tua dispersae sunt gentes
 
4.    Your spoil will be gathered as the caterpillar gathers. Men will leap on it as locusts leap.     And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.     ואסף  שללכם  אסף 
החסיל  כמשק  גבים
שוקק  בו׃
    V'aSPh ShLLKM 'aSPh HChSYL KMShQ GBYM ShVQQ BV.     And gathered hath been your spoil, A gathering of the caterpillar, As a running to and fro of locusts is he running on it.     et congregabuntur spolia vestra sicut colligitur brucus velut cum fossae plenae fuerint de eo
 
5.    Yahweh is exalted, for he dwells on high. He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.     The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.     נשגב  יהוה  כי  שכן

משפט  וצדקה׃
    NShGB YHVH KY ShKN MUrVM ML'a TShYVN MShPhT VTShDQH.     Set on high is Jehovah, for He is dwelling on high, He filled Zion with judgment and righteousness,     magnificatus est Dominus quoniam habitavit in excelso implevit Sion iudicio et iustitia
 
6.    There will be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of Yahweh is your treasure.     And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.     והיה  אמונת  עתיך 
חסן  ישועת  חכמת
ודעת  יראת  יהוה
היא  אוצרו׃
    VHYH 'aMVNTh 'yThYK ChSN YShV'yTh ChKMTh VD'yTh YUr'aTh YHVH HY'a 'aVTShUrV.     And hath been the stedfastness of thy times, The strength of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge, Fear of Jehovah -- it is His treasure.     et erit fides in temporibus tuis divitiae salutis sapientia et scientia timor Domini ipse thesaurus eius
 
7.    Behold, their valiant ones cry outside; the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.     Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.     הן  אראלם  צעקו  חצה

    HN 'aUr'aLM TSh'yQV ChTShH ML'aKY ShLVM MUr YBKYVN.     Lo, `Their Ariel,` they have cried without, Messengers of peace do weep bitterly.     ecce videntes clamabunt foris angeli pacis amare flebunt
 
8.    The highways are desolate. The traveling man ceases. The covenant is broken. He has despised the cities. He doesn't respect man.     The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.     נשמו  מסלות  שבת

9.    The land mourns and languishes. Lebanon is confounded and withers away. Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Carmel are stripped bare.     The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.     אבל  אמללה  ארץ

    'aBL 'aMLLH 'aUrTSh HChPhYUr LBNVN QML HYH HShUrVN K'yUrBH VN'yUr BShN VKUrML.     Mourned, languished hath the land, Confounded hath been Lebanon, Withered hath been Sharon as a wilderness, And shaking are Bashan and Carmel.     luxit et elanguit terra confusus est Libanus et obsorduit et factus est Saron sicut desertum et concussa est Basan et Carmelus
 
10.    "Now I will arise," says Yahweh; "Now I will lift myself up. Now I will be exalted.     Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.     עתה  אקום  יאמר 
יהוה  עתה  ארומם
עתה  אנשא׃
    'yThH 'aQVM Y'aMUr YHVH 'yThH 'aUrVMM 'yThH 'aNSh'a.     Now, do I arise, saith Jehovah, Now I am exalted, now I am lifted up.     nunc consurgam dicit Dominus nunc exaltabor nunc sublevabor
 
11.    You will conceive chaff. You will bring forth stubble. Your breath is a fire that will devour you.     Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.     תהרו  חשש  תלדו  קש 
רוחכם  אש  תאכלכם׃
    ThHUrV ChShSh ThLDV QSh UrVChKM 'aSh Th'aKLKM.     Ye conceive chaff, ye bear stubble, Your spirit! -- fire devoureth you.     concipietis ardorem parietis stipulam spiritus vester ut ignis vorabit vos
 
12.    The peoples will be like the burning of lime, like thorns that are cut down and burned in the fire.     And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.     והיו  עמים  משרפות 
שיד  קוצים  כסוחים
באש  יצתו׃
    VHYV 'yMYM MShUrPhVTh ShYD QVTShYM KSVChYM B'aSh YTShThV.     And peoples have been as burnings of lime, Thorns, as sweepings, with fire they burn.     et erunt populi quasi de incendio cinis spinae congregatae igni conburentur
 
13.    Hear, you who are far off, what I have done; and, you who are near, acknowledge my might."     Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.     שמעו  רחוקים  אשר 
עשיתי  ודעו  קרובים
גברתי׃
    ShM'yV UrChVQYM 'aShUr 'yShYThY VD'yV QUrVBYM GBUrThY.     Hear, ye far off, that which I have done, And know, ye near ones, My might.     audite qui longe estis quae fecerim et cognoscite vicini fortitudinem meam
 
14.    The sinners in Zion are afraid. Trembling has seized the godless ones. Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting burning?     The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?     פחדו  בציון  חטאים

    PhChDV BTShYVN ChT'aYM 'aChZH Ur'yDH ChNPhYM MY YGVUr LNV 'aSh 'aVKLH MY- YGVUr LNV MVQDY 'yVLM.     Afraid in Zion have been sinners, Seized hath trembling the profane: Who doth dwell for us -- consuming fire, Who doth dwell for us -- burnings of the age?     conterriti sunt in Sion peccatores possedit tremor hypocritas quis poterit habitare de vobis cum igne devorante quis habitabit ex vobis cum ardoribus sempiternis
 
15.    He who walks righteously, and speaks blamelessly; He who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing to take a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil--     He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;     הלך  צדקות  ודבר

    HLK TShDQVTh VDBUr MYShUrYM M'aS BBTSh'y M'yShQVTh N'yUr KPhYV MThMK BShChD 'aTM 'aZNV MShM'y DMYM V'yTShM 'yYNYV MUr'aVTh BUr'y.     Whoso is walking righteously, And is speaking uprightly, Kicking against gain of oppressions, Shaking his hands from taking hold on a bribe, Stopping his ear from hearing of blood, And shutting his eyes from looking on evil,     qui ambulat in iustitiis et loquitur veritates qui proicit avaritiam ex calumnia et excutit manus suas ab omni munere qui obturat aures suas ne audiat sanguinem et claudit oculos suos ne videat malum
 
16.    he will dwell on high. His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks. His bread will be supplied. His waters will be sure.     He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.     הוא  מרומים  ישכן

17.    Your eyes will see the king in his beauty. They will see a distant land.     Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.     מלך  ביפיו  תחזינה

    MLK BYPhYV ThChZYNH 'yYNYK ThUr'aYNH 'aUrTSh MUrChQYM.     A king in his beauty, see do thine eyes, They see a land afar off.     regem in decore suo videbunt oculi eius cernent terram de longe
 
18.    Your heart will meditate on the terror. Where is he who counted? Where is he who weighed? Where is he who counted the towers?     Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?     לבך  יהגה  אימה  איה

    LBK YHGH 'aYMH 'aYH SPhUr 'aYH ShQL 'aYH SPhUr 'aTh-HMGDLYM.     Thy heart doth meditate terror, Where is he who is counting? Where is he who is weighing? Where is he who is counting the towers?     cor tuum meditabitur timorem ubi est litteratus ubi legis verba ponderans ubi doctor parvulorum
 
19.    You will no longer see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that you can't comprehend, with a strange language that you can't understand.     Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.     את־עם  נועז  לא

משמוע  נלעג  לשון

    'aTh-'yM NV'yZ L'a ThUr'aH 'yM 'yMQY ShPhH MShMV'y NL'yG LShVN 'aYN BYNH.     The strong people thou seest not, A people deeper of lip than to be understood, Of a scorned tongue, there is no understanding.     populum inpudentem non videbis populum alti sermonis ita ut non possis intellegere disertitudinem linguae eius in quo nulla est sapientia
 
20.    Look at Zion, the city of our appointed festivals. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet habitation, a tent that won't be removed. Its stakes will never be plucked up, nor will any of its cords be broken.     Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.     חזה  ציון  קרית

    ChZH TShYVN QUrYTh MV'yDNV 'yYNYK ThUr'aYNH YUrVShLM NVH Sh'aNN 'aHL BL- YTSh'yN BL-YS'y YThDThYV LNTShCh VKL-ChBLYV BL-YNThQV.     See Zion, the city of our meetings, Thine eyes see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, A tent not taken down, Not removed are its pins for ever, And none of its cords are broken.     respice Sion civitatem sollemnitatis nostrae oculi tui videbunt Hierusalem habitationem opulentam tabernaculum quod nequaquam transferri poterit nec auferentur clavi eius in sempiternum et omnes funiculi eius non rumpentur
 
21.    But there Yahweh will be with us in majesty, a place of broad rivers and streams, in which no galley with oars will go, neither will any gallant ship pass by there.     But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.     כי  אם־שם  אדיר

    KY 'aM-ShM 'aDYUr YHVH LNV MQVM-NHUrYM Y'aUrYM UrChBY YDYM BL-ThLK BV 'aNY-ShYT VTShY 'aDYUr L'a Y'yBUrNV.     But there mighty is Jehovah for us, A place of rivers -- streams broad of sides, No ship with oars doth go into it, And a mighty ship doth not pass over it.     quia solummodo ibi magnificus Dominus noster locus fluviorum rivi latissimi et patentes non transibit per eum navis remigum neque trieris magna transgredietur eum
 
22.    For Yahweh is our judge. Yahweh is our lawgiver. Yahweh is our king. He will save us.     For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.     כי  יהוה  שפטנו

יושיענו׃
    KY YHVH ShPhTNV YHVH MChQQNV YHVH MLKNV HV'a YVShY'yNV.     For Jehovah our judge, Jehovah our lawgiver, Jehovah our king -- He doth save us.     Dominus enim iudex noster Dominus legifer noster Dominus rex noster ipse salvabit nos
 
23.    Your rigging is untied. They couldn't strengthen the foot of their mast. They couldn't spread the sail. Then the prey of a great spoil was divided. The lame took the prey.     Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.     נטשו  חבליך

24.    The inhabitant won't say, "I am sick." The people who dwell therein will be forgiven their iniquity.     And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.     ובל־יאמר  שכן

    VBL-Y'aMUr ShKN ChLYThY H'yM HYShB BH NSh'a 'yVN.     Nor doth an inhabitant say, `I was sick,` The people that is dwelling in it, is forgiven of iniquity!     nec dicet vicinus elangui populus qui habitat in ea auferetur ab eo iniquitas
