1.    "Cry aloud, don't spare, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.     Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.     קרא  בגרון  אל־תחשך 
כשופר  הרם  קולך
והגד  לעמי  פשעם
ולבית  יעקב  חטאתם׃
    QUr'a BGUrVN 'aL-ThChShK KShVPhUr HUrM QVLK VHGD L'yMY PhSh'yM VLBYTh Y'yQB ChT'aThM.     Call with the throat, restrain not, As a trumpet lift up thy voice, And declare to My people their transgression, And to the house of Jacob their sins;     clama ne cesses quasi tuba exalta vocem tuam et adnuntia populo meo scelera eorum et domui Iacob peccata eorum
 
2.    Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and didn't forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.     Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.     ואותי  יום  יום

    V'aVThY YVM YVM YDUrShVN VD'yTh DUrKY YChPhTShVN KGVY 'aShUr-TShDQH 'yShH VMShPhT 'aLHYV L'a 'yZB YSh'aLVNY MShPhTY-TShDQ QUrBTh 'aLHYM YChPhTShVN.     Seeing -- Me day by day they seek, And the knowledge of My ways they desire, As a nation that righteousness hath done, And the judgment of its God hath not forsaken, They ask of me judgments of righteousness, The drawing near of God they desire:     me etenim de die in diem quaerunt et scire vias meas volunt quasi gens quae iustitiam fecerit et quae iudicium Dei sui non reliquerit rogant me iudicia iustitiae adpropinquare Deo volunt
 
3.    'Why have we fasted,' [say they], 'and you don't see? [why] have we afflicted our soul, and you take no knowledge?'  "Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and exact all your labors.     Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.     למה  צמנו  ולא  ראית 
ענינו  נפשנו  ולא
תדע  הן  ביום  צמכם
תמצאו־חפץ
וכל־עצביכם  תנגשו׃
    LMH TShMNV VL'a Ur'aYTh 'yNYNV NPhShNV VL'a ThD'y HN BYVM TShMKM ThMTSh'aV-ChPhTSh VKL-'yTShBYKM ThNGShV.     `Why have we fasted, and Thou hast not seen? 4.    Behold, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wickedness: you don't fast this day so as to make your voice to be heard on high.     Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.     הן  לריב  ומצה

    HKZH YHYH TShVM 'aBChUrHV YVM 'yNVTh 'aDM NPhShV HLKPh K'aGMN Ur'aShV VShQ V'aPhUr YTShY'y HLZH ThQUr'a-TShVM VYVM UrTShVN LYHVH.     Like this is the fast that I choose? The day of a man`s afflicting his soul? To bow as a reed his head, And sackcloth and ashes spread out? 8.    Then your light shall break forth as the morning, and your healing shall spring forth speedily; and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Yahweh shall be your rear guard.     Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.     אז  יבקע  כשחר  אורך

9.    Then you shall call, and Yahweh will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, 'Here I am.'  "If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly;     Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;     אז  תקרא  ויהוה 
יענה  תשוע  ויאמר
הנני  אם־תסיר
מתוכך  מוטה  שלח
אצבע  ודבר־און׃
    'aZ ThQUr'a VYHVH Y'yNH ThShV'y VY'aMUr HNNY 'aM-ThSYUr MThVKK MVTH ShLCh 'aTShB'y VDBUr-'aVN.     Then thou callest, and Jehovah answereth, Thou criest, and He saith, `Behold Me.` If thou turn aside from thy midst the yoke, The sending forth of the finger, And the speaking of vanity,     tunc invocabis et Dominus exaudiet clamabis et dicet ecce adsum si abstuleris de medio tui catenam et desieris digitum extendere et loqui quod non prodest
 
10.    and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then your light shall rise in darkness, and your obscurity be as the noonday;     And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:     ותפק  לרעב  נפשך 
ונפש  נענה  תשביע
וזרח  בחשך  אורך
ואפלתך  כצהרים׃
    VThPhQ LUr'yB NPhShK VNPhSh N'yNH ThShBY'y VZUrCh BChShK 'aVUrK V'aPhLThK KTShHUrYM.     And dost bring out to the hungry thy soul, And the afflicted soul dost satisfy, Then risen in the darkness hath thy light, And thy thick darkness is as noon.     cum effuderis esurienti animam tuam et animam adflictam repleveris orietur in tenebris lux tua et tenebrae tuae erunt sicut meridies
 
11.    and Yahweh will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make strong your bones; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters don't fail.     And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.     ונחך  יהוה  תמיד 
והשביע  בצחצחות
נפשך  ועצמתיך
יחליץ  והיית  כגן
רוה  וכמוצא  מים
אשר  לא־יכזבו
מימיו׃
    VNChK YHVH ThMYD VHShBY'y BTShChTShChVTh NPhShK V'yTShMThYK YChLYTSh VHYYTh KGN UrVH VKMVTSh'a MYM 'aShUr L'a-YKZBV MYMYV.     And Jehovah doth lead thee continually, And hath satisfied in drought thy soul, And thy bones He armeth, And thou hast been as a watered garden, And as an outlet of waters, whose waters lie not.     et requiem tibi dabit Dominus semper et implebit splendoribus animam tuam et ossa tua liberabit et eris quasi hortus inriguus et sicut fons aquarum cuius non deficient aquae
 
12.    Those who shall be of you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.     And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.     ובנו  ממך  חרבות

דור־ודור  תקומם
וקרא  לך  גדר  פרץ
משבב  נתיבות  לשבת׃
    VBNV MMK ChUrBVTh 'yVLM MVSDY DVUr-VDVUr ThQVMM VQUr'a LK GDUr PhUrTSh MShBB NThYBVTh LShBTh.     And they have built out of thee the wastes of old, The foundations of many generations thou raisest up, And one calleth thee, `Repairer of the breach, Restorer of paths to rest in.`     et aedificabuntur in te deserta saeculorum fundamenta generationis et generationis suscitabis et vocaberis aedificator sepium avertens semitas in quietem
 
13.    "If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, [and] the holy of Yahweh honorable; and shall honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking [your own] words:     If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:     אם־תשיב  משבת  רגלך 
עשות  חפציך  ביום
קדשי  וקראת  לשבת
ענג  לקדוש  יהוה
מכבד  וכבדתו  מעשות
דרכיך  ממצוא  חפצך
ודבר  דבר׃
    'aM-ThShYB MShBTh UrGLK 'yShVTh ChPhTShYK BYVM QDShY VQUr'aTh LShBTh 'yNG LQDVSh YHVH MKBD VKBDThV M'yShVTh DUrKYK MMTShV'a ChPhTShK VDBUr DBUr.     If thou dost turn from the sabbath thy foot, Doing thine own pleasure on My holy day, And hast cried to the sabbath, `A delight,` To the holy of Jehovah, `Honoured,` And hast honoured it, without doing thine own ways, Without finding thine own pleasure, And speaking a word.     si averteris a sabbato pedem tuum facere voluntatem tuam in die sancto meo et vocaveris sabbatum delicatum et sanctum Domini gloriosum et glorificaveris eum dum non facis vias tuas et non invenitur voluntas tua ut loquaris sermonem
 
14.    then you shall delight yourself in Yahweh; and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth; and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father:" for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.     Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.     אז  תתענג  על־יהוה
