| 2. | Thus speaks Yahweh, the God of Israel, saying, Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book. | Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. |

| 8. | It shall come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds; and strangers shall no more make him their bondservant; | For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: |
והיה ביום ההוא נאם יהוה צבאות אשבר עלו מעל צוארך ומוסרותיך אנתק ולא־יעבדו־בו עוד זרים׃ |
VHYH BYVM HHV'a N'aM YHVH TShB'aVTh 'aShBUr 'yLV M'yL TShV'aUrK VMVSUrVThYK 'aNThQ VL'a-Y'yBDV-BV 'yVD ZUrYM. | And it hath come to pass, in that day, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, I break his yoke from off thy neck, And thy bands I draw away, And lay no more service on him do strangers. | et erit in die illa ait Dominus exercituum conteram iugum eius de collo tuo et vincula illius disrumpam et non dominabuntur ei amplius alieni | |||||

| 10. | Therefore don't you be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says Yahweh; neither be dismayed, Israel: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid. | Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. |

| 13. | There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines. | There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. |

| 14. | All your lovers have forgotten you; they don't seek you: for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased. | All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. |

Incurable is thy pain, Because of the abundance of thy iniquity, Mighty have been thy sins! | 18. | Thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have compassion on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited after its own manner. | Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof. |

| 21. | Their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach to me: for who is he who has had boldness to approach to me? says Yahweh. | And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD. |
והיה אדירו ממנו ומשלו מקרבו יצא והקרבתיו ונגש אלי כי מי הוא־ זה ערב את־לבו לגשת אלי נאם־יהוה׃ |
VHYH 'aDYUrV MMNV VMShLV MQUrBV YTSh'a VHQUrBThYV VNGSh 'aLY KY MY HV'a- ZH 'yUrB 'aTh-LBV LGShTh 'aLY N'aM-YHVH. | And his honourable one hath been of himself, And his ruler from his midst goeth forth, And I have caused him to draw near, And he hath drawn nigh unto Me, For who is he who hath pledged his heart To draw nigh unto Me? | 23. | Behold, the storm of Yahweh, [even his] wrath, is gone forth, a sweeping storm: it shall burst on the head of the wicked. | Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. |
הנה סערת יהוה חמה יצאה סער מתגורר על ראש רשעים יחול׃ |
