| 2. | "Speak to Aaron, and tell him, 'When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.'" | Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick. |
דבר אל־אהרן ואמרת אליו בהעלתך את־הנרת אל־מול פני המנורה יאירו שבעת הנרות׃ |
DBUr 'aL-'aHUrN V'aMUrTh 'aLYV BH'yLThK 'aTh-HNUrTh 'aL-MVL PhNY HMNVUrH Y'aYUrV ShB'yTh HNUrVTh. | `Speak unto Aaron, and thou hast said unto him, In thy causing the lights to go up, over-against the face of the candlestick do the seven lights give light.` | loquere Aaroni et dices ad eum cum posueris septem lucernas contra eam partem quam candelabrum respicit lucere debebunt | |||||
| 3. | Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lampstand, as Yahweh commanded Moses. | And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses. |

| 4. | This was the workmanship of the lampstand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work: according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand. | And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick. |
וזה מעשה המנרה מקשה זהב עד־ירכה עד־פרחה מקשה הוא כמראה אשר הראה יהוה את־משה כן עשה את־המנרה׃ |

| 7. | You shall do this to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves. | And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean. |
וכה־תעשה להם לטהרם הזה עליהם מי חטאת והעבירו תער על־כל־בשרם וכבסו בגדיהם והטהרו׃ |
VKH-Th'yShH LHM LTHUrM HZH 'yLYHM MY ChT'aTh VH'yBYUrV Th'yUr 'yL-KL-BShUrM VKBSV BGDYHM VHTHUrV. | `And thus thou dost to them to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them waters of atonement, and they have caused a razor to pass over all their flesh, and have washed their garments, and cleansed themselves, | iuxta hunc ritum aspergantur aqua lustrationis et radant omnes pilos carnis suae cumque laverint vestimenta sua et mundati fuerint | |||||
| 8. | Then let them take a young bull, and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering. | Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering. |
ולקחו פר בן־בקר ומנחתו סלת בלולה בשמן ופר־שני בן־בקר תקח לחטאת׃ |

| 9. | You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel. | And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together: |
והקרבת את־הלוים לפני אהל מועד והקהלת את־כל־עדת בני ישראל׃ |
VHQUrBTh 'aTh-HLVYM LPhNY 'aHL MV'yD VHQHLTh 'aTh-KL-'yDTh BNY YShUr'aL. | and thou hast brought near the Levites before the tent of meeting, and thou hast assembled the whole company of the sons of Israel, | et adplicabis Levitas coram tabernaculo foederis convocata omni multitudine filiorum Israhel | |||||
| 10. | You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites, | And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites: |
והקרבת את־הלוים לפני יהוה וסמכו בני־ישראל את־ידיהם על־הלוים׃ |
VHQUrBTh 'aTh-HLVYM LPhNY YHVH VSMKV BNY-YShUr'aL 'aTh-YDYHM 'yL-HLVYM. | and thou hast brought near the Levites before Jehovah, and the sons of Israel have laid their hands on the Levites, | cumque Levitae fuerint coram Domino ponent filii Israhel manus suas super eos | |||||
| 11. | and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering, on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh. | And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD. |
והניף אהרן את־הלוים תנופה לפני יהוה מאת בני ישראל והיו לעבד את־עבדת יהוה׃ |

| 12. | "The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites. | And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites. |
והלוים יסמכו את־ידיהם על ראש הפרים ועשה את־האחד חטאת ואת־ האחד עלה ליהוה לכפר על־הלוים׃ |

| 14. | Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine. | Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine. |

| 15. | "After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting: and you shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering. | And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering. |
ואחרי־כן יבאו הלוים לעבד את־אהל מועד וטהרת אתם והנפת אתם תנופה׃ |

| 16. | For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me. | For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me. |

| 17. | For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself. | For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself. |
כי לי כל־בכור בבני ישראל באדם ובבהמה ביום הכתי כל־בכור בארץ מצרים הקדשתי אתם לי׃ |

| 19. | I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary." | And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary. |

| 24. | "This is that which belongs to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting; | This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: |
זאת אשר ללוים מבן חמש ועשרים שנה ומעלה יבוא לצבא צבא בעבדת אהל מועד׃ |
Z'aTh 'aShUr LLVYM MBN ChMSh V'yShUrYM ShNH VM'yLH YBV'a LTShB'a TShB'a B'yBDTh 'aHL MV'yD. | `This is that which is the Levites`: from a son of five and twenty years and upward he doth go in to serve the host in the service of the tent of meeting, | haec est lex Levitarum a viginti quinque annis et supra ingredientur ut ministrent in tabernaculo foederis | |||||

| 26. | but shall minister with their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall do no service. You shall do thus to the Levites concerning their duties." | But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge. |
