1.    Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;     Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:     δικαιωθεντες ουν εκ πιστεως ειρηνην εχομεν προς τον θεον δια του κυριου ημων ιησου χριστου     Having been declared righteous, then, by faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ,     iustificati igitur ex fide pacem habeamus ad Deum per Dominum nostrum Iesum Christum

2.    through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.     By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.     δι ου και την προσαγωγην εσχηκαμεν [τη πιστει] εις την χαριν ταυτην εν η εστηκαμεν και καυχωμεθα επ ελπιδι της δοξης του θεου     through whom also we have the access by the faith into this grace in which we have stood, and we boast on the hope of the glory of God.     per quem et accessum habemus fide in gratiam istam in qua stamus et gloriamur in spe gloriae filiorum Dei

3.    Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance;     And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;     ου μονον δε αλλα και καυχωμεθα εν ταις θλιψεσιν ειδοτες οτι η θλιψις υπομονην κατεργαζεται     And not only so, but we also boast in the tribulations, knowing that the tribulation doth work endurance;     non solum autem sed et gloriamur in tribulationibus scientes quod tribulatio patientiam operatur

4.    and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope:     And patience, experience; and experience, hope:     η δε υπομονη δοκιμην η δε δοκιμη ελπιδα     and the endurance, experience; and the experience, hope;     patientia autem probationem probatio vero spem

5.    and hope doesn't disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.     And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.     η δε ελπις ου καταισχυνει οτι η αγαπη του θεου εκκεχυται εν ταις καρδιαις ημων δια πνευματος αγιου του δοθεντος ημιν     and the hope doth not make ashamed, because the love of God hath been poured forth in our hearts through the Holy Spirit that hath been given to us.     spes autem non confundit quia caritas Dei diffusa est in cordibus nostris per Spiritum Sanctum qui datus est nobis

6.    For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.     For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.     ετι γαρ χριστος οντων ημων ασθενων ετι κατα καιρον υπερ ασεβων απεθανεν     For in our being still ailing, Christ in due time did die for the impious;     ut quid enim Christus cum adhuc infirmi essemus secundum tempus pro impiis mortuus est

7.    For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a righteous person someone would even dare to die.     For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.     μολις γαρ υπερ δικαιου τις αποθανειται υπερ γαρ του αγαθου ταχα τις και τολμα αποθανειν     for scarcely for a righteous man will any one die, for for the good man perhaps some one also doth dare to die;     vix enim pro iusto quis moritur nam pro bono forsitan quis et audeat mori

8.    But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.     But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.     συνιστησιν δε την εαυτου αγαπην εις ημας ο θεος οτι ετι αμαρτωλων οντων ημων χριστος υπερ ημων απεθανεν     and God doth commend His own love to us, that, in our being still sinners, Christ did die for us;     commendat autem suam caritatem Deus in nos quoniam cum adhuc peccatores essemus

9.    Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God's wrath through him.     Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.     πολλω ουν μαλλον δικαιωθεντες νυν εν τω αιματι αυτου σωθησομεθα δι αυτου απο της οργης     much more, then, having been declared righteous now in his blood, we shall be saved through him from the wrath;     Christus pro nobis mortuus est multo igitur magis iustificati nunc in sanguine ipsius salvi erimus ab ira per ipsum

10.    For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.     For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.     ει γαρ εχθροι οντες κατηλλαγημεν τω θεω δια του θανατου του υιου αυτου πολλω μαλλον καταλλαγεντες σωθησομεθα εν τη ζωη αυτου     for if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in his life.     si enim cum inimici essemus reconciliati sumus Deo per mortem Filii eius multo magis reconciliati salvi erimus in vita ipsius

11.    Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.     And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.     ου μονον δε αλλα και καυχωμενοι εν τω θεω δια του κυριου ημων ιησου χριστου δι ου νυν την καταλλαγην ελαβομεν     And not only so, but we are also boasting in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom now we did receive the reconciliation;     non solum autem sed et gloriamur in Deo per Dominum nostrum Iesum Christum per quem nunc reconciliationem accepimus

12.    Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned.     Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:     δια τουτο ωσπερ δι ενος ανθρωπου η αμαρτια εις τον κοσμον εισηλθεν και δια της αμαρτιας ο θανατος και ουτως εις παντας ανθρωπους ο θανατος διηλθεν εφ ω παντες ημαρτον     because of this, even as through one man the sin did enter into the world, and through the sin the death; and thus to all men the death did pass through, for that all did sin;     propterea sicut per unum hominem in hunc mundum peccatum intravit et per peccatum mors et ita in omnes homines mors pertransiit in quo omnes peccaverunt

13.    For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.     (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.     αχρι γαρ νομου αμαρτια ην εν κοσμω αμαρτια δε ουκ ελλογειται μη οντος νομου     for till law sin was in the world: and sin is not reckoned when there is not law;     usque ad legem enim peccatum erat in mundo peccatum autem non inputatur cum lex non est

14.    Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins weren't like Adam's disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.     Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.     αλλα εβασιλευσεν ο θανατος απο αδαμ μεχρι μωυσεωσ και επι τους μη αμαρτησαντας επι τω ομοιωματι της παραβασεως αδαμ ος εστιν τυπος του μελλοντος     but the death did reign from Adam till Moses, even upon those not having sinned in the likeness of Adam`s transgression, who is a type of him who is coming.     sed regnavit mors ab Adam usque ad Mosen etiam in eos qui non peccaverunt in similitudinem praevaricationis Adae qui est forma futuri

15.    But the free gift isn't like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.     But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.     αλλ ουχ ως το παραπτωμα ουτως και το χαρισμα ει γαρ τω του ενος παραπτωματι οι πολλοι απεθανον πολλω μαλλον η χαρις του θεου και η δωρεα εν χαριτι τη του ενος ανθρωπου ιησου χριστου εις τους πολλους επερισσευσεν     But, not as the offence so also is the free gift; for if by the offence of the one the many did die, much more did the grace of God, and the free gift in grace of the one man Jesus Christ, abound to the many;     sed non sicut delictum ita et donum si enim unius delicto multi mortui sunt multo magis gratia Dei et donum in gratiam unius hominis Iesu Christi in plures abundavit

16.    The gift is not as through one who sinned: for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses to justification.     And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.     και ουχ ως δι ενος αμαρτησαντος το δωρημα το μεν γαρ κριμα εξ ενος εις κατακριμα το δε χαρισμα εκ πολλων παραπτωματων εις δικαιωμα     and not as through one who did sin is the free gift, for the judgment indeed is of one to condemnation, but the gift is of many offences to a declaration of `Righteous,`     et non sicut per unum peccantem ita et donum nam iudicium ex uno in condemnationem gratia autem ex multis delictis in iustificationem

17.    For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.     For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)     ει γαρ τω του ενος παραπτωματι ο θανατος εβασιλευσεν δια του ενος πολλω μαλλον οι την περισσειαν της χαριτος και της δωρεας της δικαιοσυνης λαμβανοντες εν ζωη βασιλευσουσιν δια του ενος ιησου χριστου     for if by the offence of the one the death did reign through the one, much more those, who the abundance of the grace and of the free gift of the righteousness are receiving, in life shall reign through the one -- Jesus Christ.     si enim in unius delicto mors regnavit per unum multo magis abundantiam gratiae et donationis et iustitiae accipientes in vita regnabunt per unum Iesum Christum

18.    So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.     Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.     αρα ουν ως δι ενος παραπτωματος εις παντας ανθρωπους εις κατακριμα ουτως και δι ενος δικαιωματος εις παντας ανθρωπους εις δικαιωσιν ζωης     So, then, as through one offence to all men it is to condemnation, so also through one declaration of `Righteous` it is to all men to justification of life;     igitur sicut per unius delictum in omnes homines in condemnationem sic et per unius iustitiam in omnes homines in iustificationem vitae

19.    For as through the one man's disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.     For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.     ωσπερ γαρ δια της παρακοης του ενος ανθρωπου αμαρτωλοι κατεσταθησαν οι πολλοι ουτως και δια της υπακοης του ενος δικαιοι κατασταθησονται οι πολλοι     for as through the disobedience of the one man, the many were constituted sinners: so also through the obedience of the one, shall the many be constituted righteous.     sicut enim per inoboedientiam unius hominis peccatores constituti sunt multi ita et per unius oboeditionem iusti constituentur multi

20.    The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;     Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:     νομος δε παρεισηλθεν ινα πλεοναση το παραπτωμα ου δε επλεονασεν η αμαρτια υπερεπερισσευσεν η χαρις     And law came in, that the offence might abound, and where the sin did abound, the grace did overabound,     lex autem subintravit ut abundaret delictum ubi autem abundavit delictum superabundavit gratia

21.    that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.     That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.     ινα ωσπερ εβασιλευσεν η αμαρτια εν τω θανατω ουτως και η χαρις βασιλευση δια δικαιοσυνης εις ζωην αιωνιον δια ιησου χριστου του κυριου ημων     that even as the sin did reign in the death, so also the grace may reign, through righteousness, to life age-during, through Jesus Christ our Lord.     ut sicut regnavit peccatum in morte ita et gratia regnet per iustitiam in vitam aeternam per Iesum Christum Dominum nostrum
