1.    You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins,     And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;     και υμας οντας νεκρους τοις παραπτωμασιν και ταις αμαρτιαις υμων     Also you -- being dead in the trespasses and the sins,     et vos cum essetis mortui delictis et peccatis vestris

2.    in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience;     Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:     εν αις ποτε περιεπατησατε κατα τον αιωνα του κοσμου τουτου κατα τον αρχοντα της εξουσιας του αερος του πνευματος του νυν ενεργουντος εν τοις υιοις της απειθειας     in which once ye did walk according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience,     in quibus aliquando ambulastis secundum saeculum mundi huius secundum principem potestatis aeris huius spiritus qui nunc operatur in filios diffidentiae

3.    among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.     Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.     εν οις και ημεις παντες ανεστραφημεν ποτε εν ταις επιθυμιαις της σαρκος ημων ποιουντες τα θεληματα της σαρκος και των διανοιων και ημεθα τεκνα φυσει οργης ως και οι λοιποι     among whom also we all did walk once in the desires of our flesh, doing the wishes of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath -- as also the others,     in quibus et nos omnes aliquando conversati sumus in desideriis carnis nostrae facientes voluntates carnis et cogitationum et eramus natura filii irae sicut et ceteri

4.    But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,     But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,     ο δε θεος πλουσιος ων εν ελεει δια την πολλην αγαπην αυτου ην ηγαπησεν ημας     and God, being rich in kindness, because of His great love with which He loved us,     Deus autem qui dives est in misericordia propter nimiam caritatem suam qua dilexit nos

5.    even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),     Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)     και οντας ημας νεκρους τοις παραπτωμασιν συνεζωοποιησεν τω χριστω χαριτι εστε σεσωσμενοι     even being dead in the trespasses, did make us to live together with the Christ, (by grace ye are having been saved,)     et cum essemus mortui peccatis convivificavit nos Christo gratia estis salvati

6.    and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,     And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:     και συνηγειρεν και συνεκαθισεν εν τοις επουρανιοις εν χριστω ιησου     and did raise us up together, and did seat us together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,     et conresuscitavit et consedere fecit in caelestibus in Christo Iesu

7.    that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;     That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.     ινα ενδειξηται εν τοις αιωσιν τοις επερχομενοις το υπερβαλλον πλουτοσ της χαριτος αυτου εν χρηστοτητι εφ ημας εν χριστω ιησου     that He might show, in the ages that are coming, the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus,     ut ostenderet in saeculis supervenientibus abundantes divitias gratiae suae in bonitate super nos in Christo Iesu

8.    for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,     For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:     τη γαρ χαριτι εστε σεσωσμενοι δια πιστεως και τουτο ουκ εξ υμων θεου το δωρον     for by grace ye are having been saved, through faith, and this not of you -- of God the gift,     gratia enim estis salvati per fidem et hoc non ex vobis Dei enim donum est

9.    not of works, that no one would boast.     Not of works, lest any man should boast.     ουκ εξ εργων ινα μη τις καυχησηται     not of works, that no one may boast;     non ex operibus ut ne quis glorietur

10.    For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.     For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.     αυτου γαρ εσμεν ποιημα κτισθεντες εν χριστω ιησου επι εργοις αγαθοις οις προητοιμασεν ο θεος ινα εν αυτοις περιπατησωμεν     for of Him we are workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God did before prepare, that in them we may walk.     ipsius enim sumus factura creati in Christo Iesu in operibus bonis quae praeparavit Deus ut in illis ambulemus

11.    Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "uncircumcision" by that which is called "circumcision," (in the flesh, made by hands);     Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;     διο μνημονευετε οτι ποτε υμεισ τα εθνη εν σαρκι οι λεγομενοι ακροβυστια υπο της λεγομενης περιτομης εν σαρκι χειροποιητου     Wherefore, remember, that ye were once the nations in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands,     propter quod memores estote quod aliquando vos gentes in carne qui dicimini praeputium ab ea quae dicitur circumcisio in carne manufacta

12.    that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.     That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:     οτι ητε τω καιρω εκεινω χωρις χριστου απηλλοτριωμενοι της πολιτειας του ισραηλ και ξενοι των διαθηκων της επαγγελιας ελπιδα μη εχοντες και αθεοι εν τω κοσμω     that ye were at that time apart from Christ, having been alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope, and without God, in the world;     quia eratis illo in tempore sine Christo alienati a conversatione Israhel et hospites testamentorum promissionis spem non habentes et sine Deo in mundo

13.    But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.     But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.     νυνι δε εν χριστω ιησου υμεις οι ποτε οντες μακραν εγενηθητε εγγυσ εν τω αιματι του χριστου     and now, in Christ Jesus, ye being once afar off became nigh in the blood of the Christ,     nunc autem in Christo Iesu vos qui aliquando eratis longe facti estis prope in sanguine Christi

14.    For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of partition,     For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;     αυτος γαρ εστιν η ειρηνη ημων ο ποιησας τα αμφοτερα εν και το μεσοτοιχον του φραγμου λυσας     for he is our peace, who did make both one, and the middle wall of the enclosure did break down,     ipse est enim pax nostra qui fecit utraque unum et medium parietem maceriae solvens inimicitiam in carne sua

15.    having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;     Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;     την εχθραν εν τη σαρκι αυτου τον νομον των εντολων εν δογμασιν καταργησας ινα τους δυο κτιση εν αυτω εις ενα καινον ανθρωπον ποιων ειρηνην     the enmity in his flesh, the law of the commands in ordinances having done away, that the two he might create in himself into one new man, making peace,     legem mandatorum decretis evacuans ut duos condat in semet ipsum in unum novum hominem faciens pacem

16.    and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility thereby.     And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:     και αποκαταλλαξη τους αμφοτερους εν ενι σωματι τω θεω δια του σταυρου αποκτεινας την εχθραν εν αυτω     and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, having slain the enmity in it,     et reconciliet ambos in uno corpore Deo per crucem interficiens inimicitiam in semet ipso

17.    He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.     And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.     και ελθων ευηγγελισατο ειρηνην υμιν τοις μακραν και ειρηνην τοις εγγυς     and having come, he did proclaim good news -- peace to you -- the far-off and the nigh,     et veniens evangelizavit pacem vobis qui longe fuistis et pacem his qui prope

18.    For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.     For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.     οτι δι αυτου εχομεν την προσαγωγην οι αμφοτεροι εν ενι πνευματι προς τον πατερα     because through him we have the access -- we both -- in one Spirit unto the Father.     quoniam per ipsum habemus accessum ambo in uno Spiritu ad Patrem

19.    So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,     Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;     αρα ουν ουκετι εστε ξενοι και παροικοι αλλα εστε συμπολιται των αγιων και οικειοι του θεου     Then, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens of the saints, and of the household of God,     ergo iam non estis hospites et advenae sed estis cives sanctorum et domestici Dei

20.    being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;     And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;     εποικοδομηθεντες επι τω θεμελιω των αποστολων και προφητων οντος ακρογωνιαιου αυτου χριστου ιησου     being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being chief corner-stone,     superaedificati super fundamentum apostolorum et prophetarum ipso summo angulari lapide Christo Iesu

21.    in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;     In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:     εν ω πασα οικοδομη συναρμολογουμενη αυξει εις ναον αγιον εν κυριω     in whom all the building fitly framed together doth increase to an holy sanctuary in the Lord,     in quo omnis aedificatio constructa crescit in templum sanctum in Domino

22.    in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.     In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.     εν ω και υμεις συνοικοδομεισθε εις κατοικητηριον του θεου εν πνευματι     in whom also ye are builded together, for a habitation of God in the Spirit.     in quo et vos coaedificamini in habitaculum Dei in Spiritu
