ذكر رحمت ربك عبده زكريا
|
|
Xkr rHmt rbk `bdh zkrya
|
|
Your Lord's mercy mention (on) His worshipper/slave Zachary/Zacharias.
|
|
(This is) a recital of the Mercy of thy Lord to His servant Zakariya.
|
|
3. * |
اذ نادى ربه نداء خفيا
|
|
aX nadi rbh nda' Kfya
|
|
When he called/cried (to) his Lord a hidden/secret call/cry.
|
|
Behold! he cried to his Lord in secret,
|
|
4. * |
قال رب اني وهن العظم مني واشتعل الراس شيبا ولم اكن بدعائك رب شقيا
|
|
qal rb any whn al`Zm mny wa$t`l alras $yba wlm akn bd`aYk rb $qya
|
|
He said: "My Lord that I, the bones weakened/enfeebled from me, and the hair turned white or gray and my Lord I was not miserable/unhappy with calling you."
|
|
Praying: "O my Lord! infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head doth glisten with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee!
|
|
5. * |
واني خفت الموالي من ورائي وكانت امراتي عاقرا فهب لي من لدنك وليا
|
|
wany Kft almwaly mn wraYy wkant amraty `aqra fhb ly mn ldnk wlya
|
|
And that I, I feared the followers/dependents from behind/beyond me, and my woman (wife) was infertile to grant/present for me from at you a follower/friend.
|
|
"Now I fear (what) my relatives (and colleagues) (will do) after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from Thyself,-
|
|
6. * |
يرثني ويرث من ال يعقوب واجعله رب رضيا
|
|
yrxny wyrx mn al y`qwb waj`lh rb rDya
|
|
(He) inherits me and (he) inherits from Jacob's family, and my Lord make him accepted/approved/satisfied.
|
|
"(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art well-pleased!"
|
|
7. * |
يازكريا انا نبشرك بغلام اسمه يحيى لم نجعل له من قبل سميا
|
|
yazkrya ana nb$rk bGlam asmh yHyi lm nj`l lh mn qbl smya
|
|
You Zacharias/Zachary, that We, We announce good news to you with a boy, his name (is) John/Yahya, We did not make for him from before (an) equivalent/equivalent in height/position.
|
|
(His prayer was answered): "O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have We conferred distinction before."
|
|
8. * |
قال رب انى يكون لي غلام وكانت امراتي عاقرا وقد بلغت من الكبر عتيا
|
|
qal rb ani ykwn ly Glam wkant amraty `aqra wqd blGt mn alkbr `tya
|
|
He said: "My Lord that how (could there) be for me a boy and my woman (wife) was infertile and I had reached from the old age exceeding the limit?"
|
|
He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?"
|
|
9. * |
قال كذلك قال ربك هو على هين وقد خلقتك من قبل ولم تك شيئا
|
|
qal kXlk qal rbk hw `li hyn wqd Klqtk mn qbl wlm tk $yYa
|
|
He said: "Like that." Your Lord said: "It is on Me easy/light, and I had created you from before, and you were not a thing."
|
|
He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'"
|
|
10. * |
قال رب اجعل لي اية قال ايتك الا تكلم الناس ثلاث ليال سويا
|
|
qal rb aj`l ly ay+ qal aytk ala tklm alnas xlax lyal swya
|
|
He said: "My Lord, make/put for me a sign/evidence." He said: "Your sign/evidence (is) that you do not converse/talk (to) the people three nights straight."
|
|
(Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb."
|
|
11. * |
فخرج على قومه من المحراب فاوحى اليهم ان سبحوا بكرة وعشيا
|
|
fKrj `li qwmh mn almHrab fawHi alyhm an sbHwa bkr+ w`$ya
|
|
So he emerged on (to) his nation, from the center of the assembly/the prayers' niche, so he inspired/transmitted/signaled to them that praise/glorify (at) daybreaks/early mornings and evenings/first darkness/dinnertime.
|
|
So Zakariya came out to his people from him chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate Allah.s praises in the morning and in the evening.
|
|
12. * |
يايحيى خذ الكتاب بقوة واتيناه الحكم صبيا
|
|
yayHyi KX alktab bqw+ watynah alHkm Sbya
|
|
You John/Yahya, take The Book with power/strength, and We gave/brought him the judgment/rule (as) a boy/child/infant.
|
|
(To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth,
|
|
13. * |
وحنانا من لدنا وزكاة وكان تقيا
|
|
wHnana mn ldna wzka+ wkan tqya
|
|
And compassion/kindness from at Us, and purification/correction and he was fearing and obeying.
|
|
And piety (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity: He was devout,
|
|
14. * |
وبرا بوالديه ولم يكن جبارا عصيا
|
|
wbra bwaldyh wlm ykn jbara `Sya
|
|
And righteous/obedient with his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant/rebel.
|
|
And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious.
|
|
15. * |
وسلام عليه يوم ولد ويوم يموت ويوم يبعث حيا
|
|
wslam `lyh ywm wld wywm ymwt wywm yb`x Hya
|
|
And security/peace on him (on the) day he was born and (the) day he dies, and (the) day he be sent/resurrected/revived alive.
|
|
So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)!
|
|
16. * |
واذكر في الكتاب مريم اذ انتبذت من اهلها مكانا شرقيا
|
|
waXkr fy alktab mrym aX antbXt mn ahlha mkana $rqya
|
|
And remember/mention in The Book Mary when she distantly isolated herself from her family/relation (to) an easterly/eastern place/position.
|
|
Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.
|
|
17. * |
فاتخذت من دونهم حجابا فارسلنا اليها روحنا فتمثل لها بشرا سويا
|
|
fatKXt mn dwnhm Hjaba farslna alyha rwHna ftmxl lha b$ra swya
|
|
So she took from other than them a divider/protection, so We sent to her Our Soul/Spirit, so he simulated/represented to her (as an) upright/average human.
|
|
She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.
|
|
18. * |
قالت اني اعوذ بالرحمن منك ان كنت تقيا
|
|
qalt any a`wX balrHmn mnk an knt tqya
|
|
She said: "That I, I seek protection by the merciful from you, if you were fearing and obeying."
|
|
She said: "I seek refuge from thee to ((Allah)) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."
|
|
19. * |
قال انما انا رسول ربك لاهب لك غلاما زكيا
|
|
qal anma ana rswl rbk lahb lk Glama zkya
|
|
He said: "Truly I am your Lord's messenger to grant/present for you a pure/righteous boy."
|
|
He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.
|
|
20. * |
قالت انى يكون لي غلام ولم يمسسني بشر ولم اك بغيا
|
|
qalt ani ykwn ly Glam wlm ymssny b$r wlm ak bGya
|
|
She said: "How/from where (there) be for me a boy and (a) human has not touched me, and I was not afornicatress/adulteress/prostitute ?
|
|
She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?"
|
|
21. * |
قال كذلك قال ربك هو على هين ولنجعله اية للناس ورحمة منا وكان امرا مقضيا
|
|
qal kXlk qal rbk hw `li hyn wlnj`lh ay+ llnas wrHm+ mna wkan amra mqDya
|
|
He said: "'Like that,' said your Lord, it is on Me easy/light, and to make/put him (as) a sign/evidence to the people, and mercy from Us, and (it was) a matter/command accomplished/ executed.'"
|
|
He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us':It is a matter (so) decreed."
|
|
22. * |
فحملته فانتبذت به مكانا قصيا
|
|
fHmlth fantbXt bh mkana qSya
|
|
So she was pregnant (with) him so she distantly isolated herself with him (to) a far/remote place/position.
|
|
So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place.
|
|
23. * |
فاجاءها المخاض الى جذع النخلة قالت ياليتني مت قبل هذا وكنت نسيا منسيا
|
|
faja'ha almKaD ali jX` alnKl+ qalt yalytny mt qbl hXa wknt nsya mnsya
|
|
So the labour/childbirth came to her to (at) the palm tree's trunk/stem, she said: "Oh I wish I would have died before this and I was forgotten (and long) forgotten."
|
|
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!"
|
|
24. * |
فناداها من تحتها الا تحزني قد جعل ربك تحتك سريا
|
|
fnadaha mn tHtha ala tHzny qd j`l rbk tHtk srya
|
|
So he (Jesus) called her from below/beneath her: "That do not be sad/grieving, your Lord had put below/beneath you a stream/clearance of a burden/generosity."
|
|
But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;
|
|
25. * |
وهزي اليك بجذع النخلة تساقط عليك رطبا جنيا
|
|
whzy alyk bjX` alnKl+ tsaqT `lyk rTba jnya
|
|
And shake/move to(wards) you with the palm tree's trunk/stem, it causes freshly harvested/gathered ripe/moist (dates) to fall/drop repeatedly on you.
|
|
"And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.
|
|
26. * |
فكلي واشربي وقري عينا فاما ترين من البشر احدا فقولي ان نذرت للرحمن صوما فلن اكلم اليوم انسيا
|
|
fkly wa$rby wqry `yna fama tryn mn alb$r aHda fqwly an nXrt llrHmn Swma fln aklm alywm ansya
|
|
So eat and drink and be delighted/satisfied eye(s) (delight your eyes), so when you see anyone from the human, so say: 'That I made a duty/vow (on myself) to the merciful, a fast, so I will not converse/speak the day/today (to) a human.'
|
|
"So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, 'I have vowed a fast to ((Allah)) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being'"
|
|
27. * |
فاتت به قومها تحمله قالوا يامريم لقد جئت شيئا فريا
|
|
fatt bh qwmha tHmlh qalwa yamrym lqd jYt $yYa frya
|
|
So she came with him (to) her nation carrying him, they said: "You Mary, you had come (with) a strange and confusing thing."
|
|
At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!
|
|
28. * |
يااخت هارون ماكان ابوك امرأ سوء وماكانت امك بغيا
|
|
yaaKt harwn makan abwk amrA sw' wmakant amk bGya
|
|
You Aaron's sister, your father was not (a) human/man of bad/evil, and your mother was not an fornicatress/adulteress/prostitute.
|
|
"O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"
|
|
29. * |
فاشارت اليه قالوا كيف نكلم من كان في المهد صبيا
|
|
fa$art alyh qalwa kyf nklm mn kan fy almhd Sbya
|
|
So she pointed/indicated to him, they said: "How (do) we converse/speak (to) whom was in the crib/cradle a boy/child/infant?"
|
|
But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
|
|
30. * |
قال اني عبدالله اتاني الكتاب وجعلني نبيا
|
|
qal any `bdallh atany alktab wj`lny nbya
|
|
He said: "That I am God's worshipper/slave, He gave/brought me The Book and He made me a prophet."
|
|
He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
|
|
31. * |
وجعلني مباركا اين ماكنت واوصاني بالصلاة والزكاة مادمت حيا
|
|
wj`lny mbarka ayn maknt wawSany balSla+ walzka+ madmt Hya
|
|
And He made me blessed, wherever I was/am, and He directed/commanded me with the prayers and the charity/purification as long as I continued/lasted alive.
|
|
"And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;
|
|
32. * |
وبرا بوالدتي ولم يجعلني جبارا شقيا
|
|
wbra bwaldty wlm yj`lny jbara $qya
|
|
And charitable/obedient with my mother, and He did not make me a miserable/unhappy tyrant/rebel.
|
|
"(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
|
|
33. * |
والسلام علي يوم ولدت ويوم اموت ويوم ابعث حيا
|
|
walslam `ly ywm wldt wywm amwt wywm ab`x Hya
|
|
And the security/peace (was) on me (on the) day I was born, and (the) day I die, and (the) day I be sent/resurrected/revived alive.
|
|
"So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!
|
|
34. * |
ذلك عيسى ابن مريم قول الحق الذي فيه يمترون
|
|
Xlk `ysi abn mrym qwl alHq alXy fyh ymtrwn
|
|
That (was) Jesus Mary's son, the correct/real saying/opinion and belief which they (are) doubting/arguing in it.
|
|
Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
|
|
35. * |
ماكان لله ان يتخذ من ولد سبحانه اذا قضى امرا فانما يقول له كن فيكون
|
|
makan llh an ytKX mn wld sbHanh aXa qDi amra fanma yqwl lh kn fykwn
|
|
(It) was not to God that (He) take from a child/children (son), His praise/glory, if He ordered/executed amatter/command, so but He says to it: "Be, so it becomes."
|
|
It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.
|
|
36. * |
و ان الله ربي وربكم فاعبدوه هذا صراط مستقيم
|
|
w an allh rby wrbkm fa`bdwh hXa SraT mstqym
|
|
And that God (is) my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him, that (is) a straight/direct road/way.
|
|
Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.
|
|
37. * |
فاختلف الاحزاب من بينهم فويل للذين كفروا من مشهد يوم عظيم
|
|
faKtlf alaHzab mn bynhm fwyl llXyn kfrwa mn m$hd ywm `Zym
|
|
So the groups/parties differed/disagreed/disputed from between them, so grief/distress to those who disbelieved from an assembly of a great day.
|
|
But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day!
|
|
38. * |
اسمع بهم وابصر يوم ياتوننا لكن الظالمون اليوم في ضلال مبين
|
|
asm` bhm wabSr ywm yatwnna lkn alZalmwn alywm fy Dlal mbyn
|
|
Make (to) hear/listen with them, and make to see/understand, a day they come to Us, but the unjust/oppressive today (are) in evident misguidance.211
|
|
How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest!
|
|
39. * |
وانذرهم يوم الحسرة اذ قضي الامر وهم في غفلة وهم لايؤمنون
|
|
wanXrhm ywm alHsr+ aX qDy alamr whm fy Gfl+ whm layWmnwn
|
|
And warn/give them notice (of) the Grief's Day/Resurrection Day, when the matter/affair was accomplished/carried out, and they are in negligence/disregard, and they are not believing.
|
|
But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!
|
|
40. * |
انا نحن نرث الارض ومن عليها والينا يرجعون
|
|
ana nHn nrx alarD wmn `lyha walyna yrj`wn
|
|
That We, We inhabit the earth/Planet Earth, and who (is) on it, and to Us they return.
|
|
It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned.
|
|
41. * |
واذكر في الكتاب ابراهيم انه كان صديقا نبيا
|
|
waXkr fy alktab abrahym anh kan Sdyqa nbya
|
|
And remember/mention in The Book Abraham, that he truly was an always very truthful prophet.
|
|
(Also mention in the Book (the story of) Abraham: He was a man of Truth, a prophet.
|
|
42. * |
اذ قال لابيه ياابت لم تعبد مالايسمع ولايبصر ولايغني عنك شيئا
|
|
aX qal labyh yaabt lm t`bd malaysm` wlaybSr wlayGny `nk $yYa
|
|
When he said to his father: "You my father, for what (do) you worship what does not hear/listen, and nor see/understand, and nor enrich/suffice from you a thing?"
|
|
Behold, he said to his father: "O my father! why worship that which heareth not and seeth not, and can profit thee nothing?
|
|
43. * |
ياابت اني قد جاءني من العلم مالم ياتك فاتبعني اهدك صراطا سويا
|
|
yaabt any qd ja'ny mn al`lm malm yatk fatb`ny ahdk SraTa swya
|
|
You my father, that I, (it) had come to me from the knowledge, what did not come to you, so follow me, I guide you a straight/level road/way.
|
|
"O my father! to me hath come knowledge which hath not reached thee: so follow me: I will guide thee to a way that is even and straight.
|
|
44. * |
يا ابت لا تعبد الشيطان ان الشيطان كان للرحمن عصيا
|
|
ya abt la t`bd al$yTan an al$yTan kan llrHmn `Sya
|
|
You my father, do not worship the devil, that the devil was/is to the merciful disobedient.
|
|
"O my father! serve not Satan: for Satan is a rebel against ((Allah)) Most Gracious.
|
|
45. * |
ياابت اني اخاف ان يمسسك عذاب من الرحمن فتكون للشيطان وليا
|
|
yaabt any aKaf an ymssk `Xab mn alrHmn ftkwn ll$yTan wlya
|
|
You my father, that I fear that torture touches you from the merciful, so you be to the devil an ally/follower.
|
|
"O my father! I fear lest a Penalty afflict thee from ((Allah)) Most Gracious, so that thou become to Satan a friend."
|
|
46. * |
قال اراغب انت عن الهتي ياابراهيم لئن لم تنته لارجمنك واهجرني مليا
|
|
qal araGb ant `n alhty yaabrahym lYn lm tnth larjmnk wahjrny mlya
|
|
He said: "Are you shunning/turning away from my gods, you Abraham? If (E) you do not end/terminate/stop, I will stone you, and leave/distance me a long/life time."
|
|
(The father) replied: "Dost thou hate my gods, O Abraham? If thou forbear not, I will indeed stone thee: Now get away from me for a good long while!"
|
|
47. * |
قال سلام عليك ساستغفر لك ربي انه كان بي حفيا
|
|
qal slam `lyk sastGfr lk rby anh kan by Hfya
|
|
He said: "Security/peace on you, I will ask for forgiveness for you (from) my Lord, that He truly (was) with me generous/blessing."
|
|
Abraham said: "Peace be on thee: I will pray to my Lord for thy forgiveness: for He is to me Most Gracious.
|
|
48. * |
واعتزلكم وماتدعون من دون الله وادعوا ربي عسى الا اكون بدعاء ربي شقيا
|
|
wa`tzlkm wmatd`wn mn dwn allh wad`wa rby `si ala akwn bd`a' rby $qya
|
|
And I separate/isolate myself from you and what you call from other than God, and I call my Lord, maybe/perhaps that I not be with my Lord's call/prayer miserable/unhappy.
|
|
"And I will turn away from you (all) and from those whom ye invoke besides Allah. I will call on my Lord: perhaps, by my prayer to my Lord, I shall be not unblest."
|
|
49. * |
فلما اعتزلهم ومايعبدون من دون الله وهبنا له اسحاق ويعقوب وكلا جعلنا نبيا
|
|
flma a`tzlhm wmay`bdwn mn dwn allh whbna lh asHaq wy`qwb wkla j`lna nbya
|
|
So when he separated/isolated himself from them, and what they call from other than God, We granted for him Issac, and Jacob and each/all, We made a prophet.
|
|
When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and each one of them We made a prophet.
|
|
50. * |
ووهبنا لهم من رحمتنا وجعلنا لهم لسان صدق عليا
|
|
wwhbna lhm mn rHmtna wj`lna lhm lsan Sdq `lya
|
|
And We granted for them from Our mercy, and We made for them (a) truthful high and mighty/dignified tongue/language/speech.
|
|
And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth.
|
|
51. * |
واذكر في الكتاب موسى انه كان مخلصا وكان رسولا نبيا
|
|
waXkr fy alktab mwsi anh kan mKlSa wkan rswla nbya
|
|
And remember/mention in The Book Moses, that he truly was faithful/loyal/devoted and (he) was a messenger, a prophet.
|
|
Also mention in the Book (the story of) Moses: for he was specially chosen, and he was an apostle (and) a prophet.
|
|
52. * |
وناديناه من جانب الطورالايمن وقربناه نجيا
|
|
wnadynah mn janb alTwralaymn wqrbnah njya
|
|
And We called him from the mountain's side/direction, the right (side), and We neared/approached him secretly conversing.
|
|
And we called him from the right side of Mount (Sinai), and made him draw near to Us, for mystic (converse).
|
|
53. * |
ووهبنا له من رحمتنا اخاه هارون نبيا
|
|
wwhbna lh mn rHmtna aKah harwn nbya
|
|
And We granted for him from Our mercy his brother Aaron, a prophet.
|
|
And, out of Our Mercy, We gave him his brother Aaron, (also) a prophet.
|
|
54. * |
واذكر في الكتاب اسماعيل انه كان صادق الوعد وكان رسولا نبيا
|
|
waXkr fy alktab asma`yl anh kan Sadq alw`d wkan rswla nbya
|
|
And remember/mention in The Book Ishmael, that he truly was truthful (in) the promise, and was a messenger, a prophet.
|
|
Also mention in the Book (the story of) Isma'il: He was (strictly) true to what he promised, and he was an apostle (and) a prophet.
|
|
55. * |
وكان يامر اهله بالصلاة والزكاة وكان عند ربه مرضيا
|
|
wkan yamr ahlh balSla+ walzka+ wkan `nd rbh mrDya
|
|
And (he) was ordering/commanding his family/people with the prayers and the charity/purification, and (he) was at his Lord accepted/approved.
|
|
He used to enjoin on his people Prayer and Charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his Lord.
|
|
56. * |
واذكر في الكتاب ادريس انه كان صديقا نبيا
|
|
waXkr fy alktab adrys anh kan Sdyqa nbya
|
|
And remember/mention in The Book Idris, that he truly was always very truthful, and a prophet.
|
|
Also mention in the Book the case of Idris: He was a man of truth (and sincerity), (and) a prophet:
|
|

ورفعناه مكانا عليا
|
|
wrf`nah mkana `lya
|
|
And We raised him a high and mighty/dignified place/position.
|
|
And We raised him to a lofty station.
|
|
58. * |
اولئك الذين انعم الله عليهم من النبيين من ذرية ادم وممن حملنا مع نوح ومن ذرية ابراهيم واسرائيل وممن هدينا واجتبينا اذا تتلى عليهم ايات الرحمن خروا سجدا وبكيا

awlYk alXyn an`m allh `lyhm mn alnbyyn mn Xry+ adm wmmn Hmlna m` nwH wmn Xry+ abrahym wasraYyl wmmn hdyna wajtbyna aXa ttli `lyhm ayat alrHmn Krwa sjda wbkya
|
|
Those are those who God blessed/praised on them from the prophets from Adam's descendants; and from who We carried with Noah,, and from Abraham's and Ishmael's descendants, and from who We guided and We chose/purified, if the merciful's verses/evidences are read/recited on them they fell down prostrating and weeping.
|
|
Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah did bestow His Grace,- of the posterity of Adam, and of those who We carried (in the Ark) with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel of those whom We guided and chose. Whenever the Signs of ((Allah)) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears.

59. * |
فخلف من بعدهم خلف اضاعوا الصلاة واتبعوا الشهوات فسوف يلقون غيا
|
|
fKlf mn b`dhm Klf aDa`wa alSla+ watb`wa al$hwat fswf ylqwn Gya
|
|
So succeeded/followed from after them a succession, they lost/wasted/destroyed the prayers, and they212followed the lusts/desires/cravings, so they will/shall meet/find misguidance/failure.
|
|
But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction,-
|
|
60. * |
الا من تاب وامن وعمل صالحا فاولئك يدخلون الجنة ولايظلمون شيئا
|
|
ala mn tab wamn w`ml SalHa fawlYk ydKlwn aljn+ wlayZlmwn $yYa
|
|
Except who repented and believed and made/did correct/righteous deeds, so those, they enter the Paradise, and they are not being caused injustice to/oppressed a thing.
|
|
Except those who repent and believe, and work righteousness: for these will enter the Garden and will not be wronged in the least,-
|
|
61. * |
جنات عدن التي وعد الرحمن عباده بالغيب انه كان وعده ماتيا
|
|
jnat `dn alty w`d alrHmn `badh balGyb anh kan w`dh matya
|
|
Treed gardens/paradises (as) eternal residence which the merciful promises His worshippers/slaves with the unseen/hidden, that He truly, His promise was/is coming (E).
|
|
Gardens of Eternity, those which ((Allah)) Most Gracious has promised to His servants in the Unseen: for His promise must (necessarily) come to pass.
|
|
62. * |
لايسمعون فيها لغوا الا سلاما ولهم رزقهم فيها بكرة وعشيا
|
|
laysm`wn fyha lGwa ala slama wlhm rzqhm fyha bkr+ w`$ya
|
|
They do not hear/listen in it nonsense/senseless talk, except (a) greeting/safety/peace and for them, (is) their provision in it (at) daybreaks/early mornings and (at) evening/first darkness/dinnertime.
|
|
They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of Peace: And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening.
|
|
63. * |
تلك الجنة التي نورث من عبادنا من كان تقيا
|
|
tlk aljn+ alty nwrx mn `badna mn kan tqya
|
|
That (is) the paradise which We make inherit (to) who was fearing and obeying from Our worshippers/slaves.
|
|
Such is the Garden which We give as an inheritance to those of Our servants who guard against Evil.
|
|
64. * |
ومانتنزل الا بامر ربك له مابين ايدينا وماخلفنا ومابين ذلك وماكان ربك نسيا
|
|
wmantnzl ala bamr rbk lh mabyn aydyna wmaKlfna wmabyn Xlk wmakan rbk nsya
|
|
And We do not descend except with your Lord's order/command, for Him what (is) between Our hands, and what (is) behind Us, and what (is) between that, and your Lord was not frequently forgetting.
|
|
(The angels say:) "We descend not but by command of thy Lord: to Him belongeth what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between: and thy Lord never doth forget,-
|
|
65. * |
رب السماوات والارض ومابينهما فاعبده واصطبر لعبادته هل تعلم له سميا
|
|
rb alsmawat walarD wmabynhma fa`bdh waSTbr l`badth hl t`lm lh smya
|
|
The skies'/space's and the earth's/Planet Earth's and what (is) between them (B)'s Lord, so worship Him, and endure patience to His worshipping, do you know (an) equivalent to Him?"
|
|
"Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and of all that is between them; so worship Him, and be constant and patient in His worship: knowest thou of any who is worthy of the same Name as He?"
|
|
66. * |
ويقول الانسان ءاذا مامت لسوف اخرج حيا
|
|
wyqwl alansan 'aXa mamt lswf aKrj Hya
|
|
And the human/mankind says: "Is (it that) if I died, I will/shall (E) be brought out alive!."(expression of wonderment).
|
|
Man says: "What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?"
|
|
67. * |
اولايذكر الانسان انا خلقناه من قبل ولم يك شيئا
|
|
awlayXkr alansan ana Klqnah mn qbl wlm yk $yYa
|
|
Or does not the human remember that We created him from before and (he) was not a thing?
|
|
But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?
|
|
68. * |
فوربك لنحشرنهم والشياطين ثم لنحضرنهم حول جهنم جثيا
|
|
fwrbk lnH$rnhm wal$yaTyn xm lnHDrnhm Hwl jhnm jxya
|
|
So by your Lord We will gather them (E), and the devils, then We will present/bring them (E) around Hell kneeling/standing on (their) toes.
|
|
So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell;
|
|
69. * |
ثم لننزعن من كل شيعة ايهم اشد على الرحمن عتيا
|
|
xm lnnz`n mn kl $y`+ ayhm a$d `li alrHmn `tya
|
|
Then We will remove (E) from every group/party which of them (is) stronger arrogant/disobedience on (to) the merciful.
|
|
Then shall We certainly drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against ((Allah)) Most Gracious.
|
|
70. * |
ثم لنحن اعلم بالذين هم اولى بها صليا
|
|
xm lnHn a`lm balXyn hm awli bha Slya
|
|
Then We are (E) more knowledgeable with (about) those who, they are more worthy/deserving roasting/suffering/burning with (in) it (Hell).
|
|
And certainly We know best those who are most worthy of being burned therein.
|
|
71. * |
وان منكم الا واردها كان على ربك حتما مقضيا
|
|
wan mnkm ala wardha kan `li rbk Htma mqDya
|
|
And that from you (there is not) except (who is) nearing/approaching it, (that) was on (by) your Lord decidedly/positively ordered/executed.
|
|
Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished.
|
|
72. * |
ثم ننجي الذين اتقوا ونذر الظالمين فيها جثيا
|
|
xm nnjy alXyn atqwa wnXr alZalmyn fyha jxya
|
|
Then We save/rescue those who feared and obeyed, and We leave (disregard) the unjust/oppressors in it kneeling/standing on (their) toes.
|
|
But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees.
|
|
73. * |
واذا تتلى عليهم اياتنا بينات قال الذين كفروا للذين امنوا اي الفريقين خير مقاما واحسن نديا
|
|
waXa ttli `lyhm ayatna bynat qal alXyn kfrwa llXyn amnwa ay alfryqyn Kyr mqama waHsn ndya
|
|
And when Our evidences/verses evidences are read/recited on (to) them, those who disbelieved said to those who believed: "Which (of) the two groups/parties/flocks is (in) better residence and best gathering/assembly/club?"
|
|
When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?"
|
|
74. * |
وكم اهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هم احسن اثاثا ورئيا
|
|
wkm ahlkna qblhm mn qrn hm aHsn axaxa wrYya
|
|
And how many We destroyed from before them from people of one era/generation/century? They are better home effects/money and appearance/pleasant appearance.
|
|
But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye?
|
|
75. * |
قل من كان في الضلالة فليمدد له الرحمن مدا حتى اذا راوا مايوعدون اما العذاب واما الساعة فسيعلمون من هو شر مكانا واضعف جندا
|
|
ql mn kan fy alDlal+ flymdd lh alrHmn mda Hti aXa rawa mayw`dwn ama al`Xab wama alsa`+ fsy`lmwn mn hw $r mkana waD`f jnda
|
|
Say: "Who was in the misguidance, so the merciful will extend/spread (E) for him extension/spreading until when they saw/understood what they are being promised, either the torture, and either the Hour/Resurrection, so they will know who he is worst (in) a place/position, and weaker soldiers/warriors."
|
|
Say: "If any men go astray, ((Allah)) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces!
|
|
76. * |
ويزيد الله الذين اهتدوا هدى والباقيات الصالحات خير عند ربك ثوابا وخير مردا
|
|
wyzyd allh alXyn ahtdwa hdi walbaqyat alSalHat Kyr `nd rbk xwaba wKyr mrda
|
|
And God increases those who were guided (in) guidance, and the remainders the correct/righteous deeds (are) better at your Lord a replacement/compensation and better (in) a return.
|
|
"And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return."
|
|
77. * |
افرايت الذي كفر باياتنا وقال لاوتين مالا وولدا
|
|
afrayt alXy kfr bayatna wqal lawtyn mala wwlda
|
|
So did you see/understand who disbelieved with Our evidences/verses, and said: "I will be given213property/possession/wealth and children ?"
|
|
Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?"
|
|
78. * |
اطلع الغيب ام اتخذ عند الرحمن عهدا
|
|
aTl` alGyb am atKX `nd alrHmn `hda
|
|
Has he seen/been informed (of) the unseen/absent, or he took/received at the merciful a promise/contract ?
|
|
Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with ((Allah)) Most Gracious?
|
|
79. * |
كلا سنكتب مايقول ونمد له من العذاب مدا
|
|
kla snktb mayqwl wnmd lh mn al`Xab mda
|
|
No but, We will write/dictate what he says, and We extend/spread to him from the torture extension/spreading.
|
|
Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment.
|
|
80. * |
ونرثه مايقول وياتينا فردا
|
|
wnrxh mayqwl wyatyna frda
|
|
And We make him inherit what he says, and he comes to Us singly/alone.
|
|
To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone.
|
|
81. * |
واتخذوا من دون الله الهة ليكونوا لهم عزا
|
|
watKXwa mn dwn allh alh+ lykwnwa lhm `za
|
|
And they took/received from other than God gods, to be for them glory/might/honour.
|
|
And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory!
|
|
82. * |
كلا سيكفرون بعبادتهم ويكونون عليهم ضدا
|
|
kla sykfrwn b`badthm wykwnwn `lyhm Dda
|
|
No but they will disbelieve with their worshipping, and they (are) on them adversaries/opponents.
|
|
Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them.
|
|
83. * |
الم تر انا ارسلنا الشياطين على الكافرين تؤزهم ازا
|
|
alm tr ana arslna al$yaTyn `li alkafryn tWzhm aza
|
|
Do you not see/understand that We sent the devils on (to) the disbelievers, they penetrate their minds/influence them penetration of their minds/influence.
|
|
Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury?
|
|
84. * |
فلا تعجل عليهم انما نعد لهم عدا
|
|
fla t`jl `lyhm anma n`d lhm `da
|
|
So do not hurry/hasten/rush on them, but We count for them counting.
|
|
So make no haste against them, for We but count out to them a (limited) number (of days).
|
|
85. * |
يوم نحشر المتقين الى الرحمن وفدا
|
|
ywm nH$r almtqyn ali alrHmn wfda
|
|
A day We gather the fearing and obeying to the merciful (as) a delegation of dignitaries.
|
|
The day We shall gather the righteous to ((Allah)) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours,
|
|
86. * |
ونسوق المجرمين الى جهنم وردا
|
|
wnswq almjrmyn ali jhnm wrda
|
|
And We drive (herd) the criminals/sinners to Hell successively in groups.
|
|
And We shall drive the sinners to Hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,-
|
|
87. * |
لايملكون الشفاعة الا من اتخذ عند الرحمن عهدا
|
|
laymlkwn al$fa`+ ala mn atKX `nd alrHmn `hda
|
|
They do not own/possess the mediation, except who took/received at the merciful a promise/contract.
|
|
None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from ((Allah)) Most Gracious.
|
|
88. * |
وقالوا اتخذ الرحمن ولدا
|
|
wqalwa atKX alrHmn wlda
|
|
And they said: "The merciful took/received a child (son)."
|
|
They say: "((Allah)) Most Gracious has begotten a son!"
|
|
89. * |
لقد جئتم شيئا ادا
|
|
lqd jYtm $yYa ada
|
|
You had come (with) a blasphemous/disastrous thing.
|
|
Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!
|
|
90. * |
تكاد السماوات يتفطرن منه وتنشق الارض وتخر الجبال هدا
|
|
tkad alsmawat ytfTrn mnh wtn$q alarD wtKr aljbal hda
|
|
The skies/space are about to/almost split/crack/cleave from it, and the earth/Planet Earth splits/cracks open,and the mountains fall down (in) demolition and breaking down into pieces violently with noise.
|
|
At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin,
|
|
91. * |
ان دعوا للرحمن ولدا
|
|
an d`wa llrHmn wlda
|
|
That (E) they called to the merciful a child (son).
|
|
That they should invoke a son for ((Allah)) Most Gracious.
|
|
92. * |
وماينبغي للرحمن ان يتخذ ولدا
|
|
wmaynbGy llrHmn an ytKX wlda
|
|
And (it) would not (be) to the merciful that He takes a child (son).
|
|
For it is not consonant with the majesty of ((Allah)) Most Gracious that He should beget a son.
|
|
93. * |
ان كل من في السماوات والارض الا اتي الرحمن عبدا
|
|
an kl mn fy alsmawat walarD ala aty alrHmn `bda
|
|
That every/each whom (is) in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth except is coming (E) (to) the merciful (as) a worshipper/slave.
|
|
Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to ((Allah)) Most Gracious as a servant.
|
|
94. * |
لقد احصاهم وعدهم عدا
|
|
lqd aHSahm w`dhm `da
|
|
He had counted/completed them and He counted them counting.
|
|
He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly.
|
|
95. * |
وكلهم اتيه يوم القيامة فردا
|
|
wklhm atyh ywm alqyam+ frda
|
|
And all of them are coming to Him (in) the Resurrection Day singly/alone/one.
|
|
And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment.
|
|
96. * |
ان الذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات سيجعل لهم الرحمن ودا
|
|
an alXyn amnwa w`mlwa alSalHat syj`l lhm alrHmn wda
|
|
That those who believed and made/did the correct/righteous deeds, the merciful will make/create for them love/affection.
|
|
On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will ((Allah)) Most Gracious bestow love.
|
|
97. * |
فانما يسرناه بلسانك لتبشر به المتقين وتنذر به قوما لدا
|
|
fanma ysrnah blsank ltb$r bh almtqyn wtnXr bh qwma lda
|
|
So but We eased it with your tongue/language, to announce good news with it (to) the fearing and obeying, and warn/give notice with it (to) a nation (in) harsh/violent dispute
|
|
So have We made the (Qur'an) easy in thine own tongue, that with it thou mayest give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention.
|
|
98. * |
وكم اهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هل تحس منهم من احد او تسمع لهم ركزا
|
|
wkm ahlkna qblhm mn qrn hl tHs mnhm mn aHd aw tsm` lhm rkza
|
|
And how many before them We destroyed from people of one era/generation/century, do you sense/feel from them from anyone, or hear for them (a) low voice/whisper/faint sound?214
|
|
But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them?
