| 3. * | والناشرات نشرا | walna$rat n$ra | And/by the spreading/extending/winds (for clouds), spreading out/extending. | And scatter (things) far and wide; | |||
| 4. * | فالفارقات فرقا | falfarqat frqa | So the separated clouds/separators of right and wrong, separating. | Then separate them, one from another, | |||
| 5. * | فالملقيات ذكرا | falmlqyat Xkra | So the throwing/throwing away a reminder/remembrance (delivering messages). | Then spread abroad a Message, | |||
| 6. * | عذرا او نذرا | `Xra aw nXra | An excuse/fault or sins or (a) warning/notice. | Whether of Justification or of Warning;- | |||
| 7. * | انما توعدون لواقع | anma tw`dwn lwaq` | That truly what you are being promised (is) happening (E). | Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. | |||
| 8. * | فاذا النجوم طمست | faXa alnjwm Tmst | So when/if the stars/planets were eliminated/effaced. | Then when the stars become dim; | |||
| 9. * | واذا السماء فرجت | waXa alsma' frjt | And when/if the sky/space opened/split open. | When the heaven is cleft asunder; | |||
| 10. * | واذا الجبال نسفت | waXa aljbal nsft | And when/if the mountains were uprooted and dispersed/exploded. | When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; | |||
| 11. * | واذا الرسل اقتت | waXa alrsl aqtt | And when/if the messengers were appointed a time. | And when the apostles are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- | |||
| 12. * | لاي يوم اجلت | lay ywm ajlt | To which day/time it was delayed. | For what Day are these (portents) deferred? | |||
| 13. * | ليوم الفصل | lywm alfSl | To the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day. | For the Day of Sorting out. | |||
| 14. * | وماادراك مايوم الفصل | wmaadrak maywm alfSl | And what makes you know what the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day (is)? | And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? | |||
| 15. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 16. * | الم نهلك الاولين | alm nhlk alawlyn | Did We not destroy the first/beginners? | Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? | |||
| 17. * | ثم نتبعهم الاخرين | xm ntb`hm alaKryn | Then We make them followed (by) the lasts/others. | So shall We make later (generations) follow them. | |||
| 18. * | كذلك نفعل بالمجرمين | kXlk nf`l balmjrmyn | As/like that We make/do with the criminals/sinners. | Thus do We deal with men of sin. | |||
| 19. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 20. * | الم نخلقكم من ماء مهين | alm nKlqkm mn ma' mhyn | Did We not create you from despised/humiliated (discarded) water? | Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- | |||
| 21. * | فجعلناه في قرار مكين | fj`lnah fy qrar mkyn | So We made/put it in a highly positioned/established settlement/affixation. | The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, | |||
| 22. * | الى قدر معلوم | ali qdr m`lwm | To a known predestiny/estimation. | For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? | |||
| 23. * | فقدرنا فنعم القادرون | fqdrna fn`m alqadrwn | So We evaluated and measured precisely, so blessed/praised (are) the capable/able. | For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). | |||
| 24. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 25. * | الم نجعل الارض كفاتا | alm nj`l alarD kfata | Did We not make the earth/Planet Earth encompassing/containing internally and externally ? | Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. | |||
| 26. * | احياء وامواتا | aHya' wamwata | Alive and deads. | The living and the dead, | |||
| 27. * | وجعلنا فيها رواسي شامخات واسقيناكم ماء فراتا | wj`lna fyha rwasy $amKat wasqynakm ma' frata | And We made/put in it anchors/mountains high/towering, and We gave you drink (from) very sweet/fresh water. | And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? | |||
| 28. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 29. * | انطلقوا الى ماكنتم به تكذبون | anTlqwa ali makntm bh tkXbwn | Leave/go/set out to what you were with it lying/denying/falsifying. | (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! | |||
| 30. * | انطلقوا الى ظل ذي ثلاث شعب | anTlqwa ali Zl Xy xlax $`b | Leave/go/set out to shade of three branches/three off shoots. | "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, | |||
| 31. * | لاظليل ولايغني من اللهب | laZlyl wlayGny mn allhb | Not shading and nor enriches/suffices (protects) from the flame of a smokeless fire. | "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. | |||
| 32. * | انها ترمي بشرر كالقصر | anha trmy b$rr kalqSr | That it truly throws with sparks as (big) as the castle/palace. | "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, | |||
| 33. * | كانه جمالة صفر | kanh jmal+ Sfr | As though it (is) camels yellow. | "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." | |||
| 34. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 35. * | هذا يوم لاينطقون | hXa ywm laynTqwn | That (is) a day/time they do not speak. | That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. | |||
| 36. * | ولايؤذن لهم فيعتذرون | wlayWXn lhm fy`tXrwn | And nor (it) be permitted/allowed for them so (that) they apologize/excuse themselves. | Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. | |||
| 37. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 38. * | هذا يوم الفصل جمعناكم والاولين | hXa ywm alfSl jm`nakm walawlyn | That (is) the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day We gathered/collected you and the first/beginners. | That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! | |||
| 39. * | فان كان لكم كيد فكيدون | fan kan lkm kyd fkydwn | So if (there) was for you (a) plot/conspiracy, so plot/conspire against Me. | Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! | |||
| 40. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 41. * | ان المتقين في ظلال وعيون | an almtqyn fy Zlal w`ywn | That truly the fearing and obeying (are) in shades and water springs/wells. | As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water). | |||
| 42. * | وفواكه مما يشتهون | wfwakh mma y$thwn | And fruits from what they desire/crave. | And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire. | |||
| 43. * | كلوا واشربوا هنيئا بما كنتم تعملون | klwa wa$rbwa hnyYa bma kntm t`mlwn | Eat and drink pleasurable/wholesome because (of) what you were making/doing. | "Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness). | |||
| 44. * | انا كذلك نجزي المحسنين | ana kXlk njzy almHsnyn | That truly like that We reimburse the good doers. | Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good. | |||
| 45. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 46. * | كلوا وتمتعوا قليلا انكم مجرمون | klwa wtmt`wa qlyla ankm mjrmwn | Eat and enjoy little that you truly are criminals/sinners. | (O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners. | |||
| 47. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 48. * | واذا قيل لهم اركعوا لايركعون | waXa qyl lhm ark`wa layrk`wn | And when/if (it) was said to them: "Bow." They do not bow. | And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so. | |||
| 49. * | ويل يومئذ للمكذبين | wyl ywmYX llmkXbyn | Calamity/scandal (on) that day to the liars/deniers/falsifiers. | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | |||
| 50. * | فباي حديث بعده يؤمنون | fbay Hdyx b`dh yWmnwn | So with which information/speech after it (do) they believe (in it)?452 | Then what Message, after that, will they believe in? | |||
