He has taught him speech (and intelligence).

He taught them how to distinguish.
|

He taught/instructed him the evidence/logic.

The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed;
|
|
The sun and the moon are perfectly calculated.
|
|
The sun and the moon with a count/calculation.

And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) bow in adoration.
|
|
The stars and the trees prostrate.
|
|
And the star/planet and the trees, they (B) prostrate.
|

And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),
|
|
He constructed the sky and established the law.
|
|
And the sky/space He rose it, and He laid/put/raised the scale/measuring instrument.

In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance.
|
|
You shall not transgress the law.
|
|
That you not tyrannize/exceed the limit in the scale/measuring instrument.
|
|

So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance.
|
|
You shall establish justice; do not violate the law.
|
|
And keep up the weight/measure with the just/equitable, and do not reduce/decrease (cheat) in the scale/measuring instrument.

|

It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures:
|
|
He created the earth for all creatures.
|
|
And the earth/Planet Earth, He laid it for the creation.
|

Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates);
|
|
In it there are fruits, and date palms with their hanging fruit.
|
|
In it (are) fruits and the palm trees that of the buds/covers from which fruits and flowers emerge.

Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants.

|
Also grains and the spices.
|
|
And the seed/grain (of) the husk/chaff/external cover of seeds, and the basil/fragrant plants.

|
|
(O humans and jinns,) which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery,
|
|
He created the human from aged clay, like the potter's clay.
|
|
He created the human/mankind from dry mud/clay as the pottery/earthenware.

And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke:
|
|
And created the jinns from blazing fire.
|
|
And He created the Jinn from (the) flaming blazing torch mixed with blackened smoke from fire.

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
|
|
(O humans and jinns,) which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|

(He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests:
|
|
Lord of the two easts and the two wests.
|
|
The two sun rises'/easts' Lord, and the two sunsets'/declines' Lord.

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together:
|
|
He separates the two seas where they meet.
|
|
The two large bodies of water usually salty mixed/set loose, they (B) meet.

Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress:
|
|
A barrier is placed between them, to prevent them from transgressing.
|
|
Between them (B) (is) a barrier, they (B) do not transgress.

|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|

Out of them come Pearls and Coral:
|
|
Out of both of them you get pearls and coral.
|
|
The pearls and the corals emerge from them (B).

Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|

And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains:
|
|
He gave you ships that roam the sea like flags.
|
|
And for Him (are) the ships/flowing/passing the raised/developed in the sea/ocean as/like the banners/mountains.

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

All that is on earth will perish:
|
|
Everyone on earth perishes.
|
|
Each/every who (is) on it (is) vanishing/being destroyed.

But will abide (for ever) the Face of thy Lord,- full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour.
|
|
Only the presence of your Lord lasts. Possessor of Majesty and Honor.
|
|
And your Lord's face/front/direction (owner) of the glory/splendor and the honour/generosity remains/continues.

|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|

Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)!
|
|
Imploring Him is everyone in the heavens and the earth. Every day He is in full control.
|
|
Who (ever is) in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth asks/questions him, each/every day/time He is in a great matter/affair/concern.

|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

Soon shall We settle your affairs, O both ye worlds!
|
|
We will call you to account, O humans and jinns.
|
|
We will finish/end/complete (free ourselves) for you, oh you, the humans and Jinns (the two weights).

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

|
33. * |
O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!
|
|
O you jinns and humans, if you can penetrate the outer limits of the heavens and the earth, go ahead and penetrate. You cannot penetrate without authorization.
|
|
You race/society (of) the Jinns and human/mankind, if you were able that (E) you penetrate/pierce from the skies'/space's and the earth's/Planet Earth's regions/diameters/chords, so penetrate/pierce, you do not penetrate/pierce except with power/ authority.
|
|

|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defence will ye have:
|
|
You get bombarded with projectiles of fire and metal, and you cannot win.
|
|
He sends on you (B) a smokeless flame/blazing heat from fire and copper/sparks of molten iron, so you (B) do not become victorious.
|

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment:
|
|
When the sky disintegrates, and turns rose colored like paint.
|
|
So if the sky/space split/cut open, so it was a red/a rose as/like the paint/painted with oil.

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin.
|
|
On that day, no human, nor a jinn, will be asked about his sins.
|
|
So that day (end of the world till judgment takes place), a human/mankind and nor a Jinn (will) be asked/questioned about his crime.

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

(For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.
|
|
(This is because) the guilty will be recognized by their looks; they will be taken by the forelocks and the feet.
|
|
The criminals/sinners (will) be known by their marks/identifications/expressions, so (they) will be taken by the foreheads/forehead's hair (bangs), and the feet.
|

Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

This is the Hell which the Sinners deny:
|
|
This is Gehenna that the guilty used to deny.
|
|
This is Hell which the criminals/sinners lie/deny with it.

In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round!
|
|
They will circulate between it and an intolerable inferno.
|
|
They circle/walk around between it and between hot water/cold water/red hot coal blazing/glowing.

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens-
|
|
For those who reverence the majesty of their Lord, two gardens (one for the jinns and one for the humans).

And to who feared His Lord's place/position, two treed gardens.
|

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-
|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|
So with which (of) your (B)'s (humans and Jinns) Lord's blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify ?

Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);-
|
|
Full of provisions.
|
|
(B) of (the two treed gardens) have branches.

|
|

In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free);
|
|
Two springs are in them, flowing.
|
|
In them (B) (are) two water springs/wells, they (B) flow.

Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two.
|
|
Of every fruit in them, two kinds.
|

In them (B) (are) from every/each fruits, a pair/couple/two kinds.

They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach).
|
|
While relaxing on furnishings lined with satin, the fruits are within reach.
|
|
Leaning/reclining on on spreads/beds its lining/interior (is) from brocade, and the two treed gardens' harvest (fruits is) near.
|
|

|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
|
|
Their beautiful mates were never touched by any human or jinn.
|

In them (B) (are) confining the eyes, (they) were not touched (by) a human before them, and nor Jinn.

They look like gems and coral.
|

|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

Is there any Reward for Good - other than Good?

Is the reward of goodness anything but goodness?

Is the goodness' reimbursement, except the goodness'?

Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,-

Below them are two gardens (one for the jinns and one for the humans).

Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering).
|
|
Side by side.
|
|
(B) (are) blackish green and fragrant.

In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance:

In them, wells to be pumped.
|
|
In them (B) (are) two water springs/wells, (B) flowing/gushing.

|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates:

In them are fruits, date palms, and pomegranate.

|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;-
|
|
In them are beautiful mates.
|
|
In them (B) (are) very beautiful good/generous.

Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;-

Confined in the tents.

Dilated pupils (very beautiful) confined/limited in the tents.

|
|
Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
|
|

Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
