1.    וידבר  יהוה  אל־משה 
לאמר׃
    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,     Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,     And the Lord said to Moses,
 
2.    דבר  אל־בני  ישראל 
ואמרת  אלהם  מועדי
יהוה  אשר־תקראו
אתם  מקראי  קדש  אלה
הם  מועדי׃
    Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.     "Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'The set feasts of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my set feasts.     Say to the children of Israel, These are the fixed feasts of the Lord, which you will keep for holy meetings: these are my feasts.
 
3.    ששת  ימים  תעשה 
מלאכה  וביום
השביעי  שבת  שבתון
מקרא־קדש  כל־מלאכה
לא  תעשו  שבת  הוא
ליהוה  בכל
מושבתיכם׃
    Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.     "'Six days shall work be done: but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of work. It is a Sabbath to Yahweh in all your dwellings.     On six days work may be done; but the seventh day is a special day of rest, a time for worship; you may do no sort of work: it is a Sabbath to the Lord wherever you may be living.
 
4.    אלה  מועדי  יהוה 
מקראי  קדש
אשר־תקראו  אתם
במועדם׃
    These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.     "'These are the set feasts of Yahweh, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed season.     These are the fixed feasts of the Lord, the holy days of worship which you will keep at their regular times.
 
5.    בחדש  הראשון 
בארבעה  עשר  לחדש
בין  הערבים  פסח
ליהוה׃
    In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover.     In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is Yahweh's Passover.     In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at nightfall, is the Lord's Passover;
 
6.    ובחמשה  עשר  יום 
לחדש  הזה  חג  המצות
ליהוה  שבעת  ימים
מצות  תאכלו׃
    And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.     On the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to Yahweh. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.     And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread; for seven days let your food be unleavened bread.
 
7.    ביום  הראשון 
מקרא־קדש  יהיה  לכם
כל־מלאכת  עבדה  לא
תעשו׃
    In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.     In the first day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work.     On the first day you will have a holy meeting; you may do no sort of field-work.
 
8.    והקרבתם  אשה  ליהוה 
שבעת  ימים  ביום
השביעי  מקרא־קדש
כל־מלאכת  עבדה  לא
תעשו׃
    But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.     But you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh seven days. In the seventh day is a holy convocation: you shall do no regular work.'"     And every day for seven days you will give a burned offering to the Lord; and on the seventh day there will be a holy meeting; you may do no field-work.
 
9.    וידבר  יהוה  אל־משה 
לאמר׃
    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,     Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,     And the Lord said to Moses,
 
10.    דבר  אל־בני  ישראל 
ואמרת  אלהם
כי־תבאו  אל־הארץ
אשר  אני  נתן  לכם
וקצרתם  את־קצירה
והבאתם  את־עמר
ראשית  קצירכם
אל־הכהן׃
    Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:     "Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap its the harvest, then you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest:     Say to the children of Israel, When you have come to the land which I will give you, and have got in the grain from its fields, take some of the first-fruits of the grain to the priest;
 
11.    והניף  את־העמר 
לפני  יהוה  לרצנכם
ממחרת  השבת  יניפנו
הכהן׃
    And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.     and he shall wave the sheaf before Yahweh, to be accepted for you. On the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.     And let the grain be waved before the Lord, so that you may be pleasing to him; on the day after the Sabbath let it be waved by the priest.
 
12.    ועשיתם  ביום 
הניפכם  את־העמר
כבש  תמים  בן־שנתו
לעלה  ליהוה׃
    And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.     On the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb without blemish a year old for a burnt offering to Yahweh.     And on the day of the waving of the grain, you are to give a male lamb of the first year, without any mark, for a burned offering to the Lord.
 
13.    ומנחתו  שני  עשרנים 
סלת  בלולה  בשמן
אשה  ליהוה  ריח
ניחח  ונסכה  יין
רביעת  ההין׃
    And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.     The meal offering with it shall be two tenth parts of an ephah{1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel} of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire to Yahweh for a pleasant aroma; and the drink offering with it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.     And let the meal offering with it be two tenth parts of an ephah of the best meal mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the Lord for a sweet smell; and the drink offering with it is to be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.
 
14.    ולחם  וקלי  וכרמל 
לא  תאכלו  עד־עצם
היום  הזה  עד
הביאכם  את־קרבן
אלהיכם  חקת  עולם
לדרתיכם  בכל
משבתיכם׃
    And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.     You shall eat neither bread, nor roasted grain, nor fresh grain, until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God. This is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.     And you may take no bread or dry grain or new grain for food till the very day on which you have given the offering for your God: this is a rule for ever through all your generations wherever you are living.
 
15.    וספרתם  לכם  ממחרת 
השבת  מיום  הביאכם
את־עמר  התנופה  שבע
שבתות  תמימת
תהיינה׃
    And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:     "'You shall count from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be completed:     And let seven full weeks be numbered from the day after the Sabbath, the day when you give the grain for the wave offering;
 
16.    עד  ממחרת  השבת 
השביעת  תספרו
חמשים  יום  והקרבתם
מנחה  חדשה  ליהוה׃
    Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.     even to the next day after the seventh Sabbath you shall number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meal offering to Yahweh.     Let fifty days be numbered, to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you are to give a new meal offering to the Lord.
 
17.    ממושבתיכם  תביאו 
לחם  תנופה  שתים
שני  עשרנים  סלת
תהיינה  חמץ  תאפינה
בכורים  ליהוה׃
    Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.     You shall bring out of your habitations two loaves of bread for a wave offering made of two tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour. They shall be baked with yeast, for first fruits to Yahweh.     Take from your houses two cakes of bread, made of a fifth part of an ephah of the best meal, cooked with leaven, to be waved for first-fruits to the Lord.
 
18.    והקרבתם  על־הלחם 
שבעת  כבשים  תמימם
בני  שנה  ופר
בן־בקר  אחד  ואילם
שנים  יהיו  עלה
ליהוה  ומנחתם
ונסכיהם  אשה
ריח־ניחח  ליהוה׃
    And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.     You shall present with the bread seven lambs without blemish a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to Yahweh, with their meal offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma to Yahweh.     And with the bread, take seven lambs of the first year, without any marks, and one ox and two male sheep, to be a burned offering to the Lord, with their meal offering and their drink offerings, an offering of a sweet smell made by fire to the Lord.
 
19.    ועשיתם  שעיר־עזים 
אחד  לחטאת  ושני
כבשים  בני  שנה
לזבח  שלמים׃
    Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.     You shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings.     And you are to give one male goat for a sin-offering and two male lambs of the first year for peace-offerings.
 
20.    והניף  הכהן  אתם  על 
לחם  הבכרים  תנופה
לפני  יהוה  על־שני
כבשים  קדש  יהיו
ליהוה  לכהן׃
    And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.     The priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before Yahweh, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Yahweh for the priest.     And these will be waved by the priest, with the bread of the first-fruits, for a wave offering to the Lord, with the two lambs: they will be holy to the Lord for the priest.
 
21.    וקראתם  בעצם  היום 
הזה  מקרא־קדש  יהיה
לכם  כל־מלאכת  עבדה
לא  תעשו  חקת  עולם
בכל־מושבתיכם
לדרתיכם׃
    And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.     You shall make proclamation on the same day: there shall be a holy convocation to you; you shall do no regular work. This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.     And on the same day, let it be given out that there will be a holy meeting for you: you may do no field-work on that day: it is a rule for ever through all your generations wherever you are living.
 
22.    ובקצרכם  את־קציר 
ארצכם  לא־תכלה  פאת
שדך  בקצרך  ולקט
קצירך  לא  תלקט
לעני  ולגר  תעזב
אתם  אני  יהוה
אלהיכם׃
    And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.     "'When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap into the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest: you shall leave them for the poor, and for the foreigner. I am Yahweh your God.'"     And when you get in the grain from your land, do not let all the grain at the edges of the field be cut, and do not take up the grain which has been dropped in the field; let that be for the poor, and for the man from another country: I am the Lord your God.
 
23.    וידבר  יהוה  אל־משה 
לאמר׃
    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,     Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,     And the Lord said to Moses,
 
24.    דבר  אל־בני  ישראל 
לאמר  בחדש  השביעי
באחד  לחדש  יהיה
לכם  שבתון  זכרון
תרועה  מקרא־קדש׃
    Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.     "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.     Say to the children of Israel, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, let there be a special day of rest for you, a day of memory, marked by the blowing of horns, a meeting for worship.
 
25.    כל־מלאכת  עבדה  לא 
תעשו  והקרבתם  אשה
ליהוה׃
    Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.     You shall do no regular work; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.'"     Do no field-work and give to the Lord an offering made by fire.
 
26.    וידבר  יהוה  אל־משה 
לאמר׃
    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,     Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,     And the Lord said to Moses,
 
27.    אך  בעשור  לחדש 
השביעי  הזה  יום
הכפרים  הוא
מקרא־קדש  יהיה  לכם
ועניתם  את־נפשתיכם
והקרבתם  אשה
ליהוה׃
    Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.     "However on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.     The tenth day of this seventh month is the day for the taking away of sin; let it be a holy day of worship; you are to keep from pleasure, and give to the Lord an offering made by fire.
 
28.    וכל־מלאכה  לא  תעשו 
בעצם  היום  הזה  כי
יום  כפרים  הוא
לכפר  עליכם  לפני
יהוה  אלהיכם׃
    And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.     You shall do no manner of work in that same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before Yahweh your God.     And on that day you may do no sort of work, for it is a day of taking away sin, to make you clean before the Lord your God.
 
29.    כי  כל־הנפש  אשר 
לא־תענה  בעצם  היום
הזה  ונכרתה  מעמיה׃
    For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.     For whoever it is who shall not deny himself in that same day; shall be cut off from his people.     For any person, whoever he may be, who takes his pleasure on that day will be cut off from his people.
 
30.    וכל־הנפש  אשר  תעשה 
כל־מלאכה  בעצם
היום  הזה  והאבדתי
את־הנפש  ההוא  מקרב
עמה׃
    And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.     Whoever it is who does any manner of work in that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.     And if any person, whoever he may be, on that day does any sort of work, I will send destruction on him from among his people.
 
31.    כל־מלאכה  לא  תעשו 
חקת  עולם  לדרתיכם
בכל  משבתיכם׃
    Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.     You shall do no manner of work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.     You may not do any sort of work: this is an order for ever through all your generations wherever you may be living.
 
32.    שבת  שבתון  הוא  לכם 
ועניתם  את־נפשתיכם
בתשעה  לחדש  בערב
מערב  עד־  ערב
תשבתו  שבתכם׃
    It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.     It shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall deny yourselves. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath."     Let this be a Sabbath of special rest to you, and keep yourselves from all pleasure; on the ninth day of the month at nightfall from evening to evening, let this Sabbath be kept.
 
33.    וידבר  יהוה  אל־משה 
לאמר׃
    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,     Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,     And the Lord said to Moses,
 
34.    דבר  אל־בני  ישראל 
לאמר  בחמשה  עשר
יום  לחדש  השביעי
הזה  חג  הסכות  שבעת
ימים  ליהוה׃
    Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.     "Speak to the children of Israel, and say, 'On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of tents for seven days to Yahweh.     Say to the children of Israel, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month let the feast of tents be kept to the Lord for seven days.
 
35.    ביום  הראשון 
מקרא־קדש  כל־מלאכת
עבדה  לא  תעשו׃
    On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.     On the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no regular work.     On the first day there will be a holy meeting: do no field-work.
 
36.    שבעת  ימים  תקריבו 
אשה  ליהוה  ביום
השמיני  מקרא־קדש
יהיה  לכם  והקרבתם
אשה  ליהוה  עצרת
הוא  כל־מלאכת  עבדה
לא  תעשו׃
    Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.     Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh. On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh. It is a solemn assembly; you shall do no regular work.     Every day for seven days give an offering made by fire to the Lord; and on the eighth day there is to be a holy meeting, when you are to give an offering made by fire to the Lord; this is a special holy day: you may do no field-work on that day.
 
37.    אלה  מועדי  יהוה 
אשר־תקראו  אתם
מקראי  קדש  להקריב
אשה  ליהוה  עלה
ומנחה  זבח  ונסכים
דבר־יום  ביומו׃
    These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:     "'These are the appointed feasts of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh, a burnt offering, and a meal offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, each on its own day;     These are the fixed feasts of the Lord, to be kept by you as holy days of worship, for making an offering by fire to the Lord; a burned offering, a meal offering, an offering of beasts, and drink offerings; every one on its special day;
 
38.    מלבד  שבתת  יהוה 
ומלבד  מתנותיכם
ומלבד  כל־נדריכם
ומלבד  כל־  נדבתיכם
אשר  תתנו  ליהוה׃
    Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.     besides the Sabbaths of Yahweh, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give to Yahweh.     In addition to the Sabbaths of the Lord, and in addition to the things you give and the oaths you make and the free offerings to the Lord.
 
39.    אך  בחמשה  עשר  יום 
לחדש  השביעי
באספכם  את־תבואת
הארץ  תחגו  את־חג־
יהוה  שבעת  ימים
ביום  הראשון  שבתון
וביום  השמיני
שבתון׃
    Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.     "'So on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you shall keep the feast of Yahweh seven days: on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest.     But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have got in all the fruits of the land, you will keep the feast of the Lord for seven days: the first day will be a Sabbath, and the eighth day the same.
 
40.    ולקחתם  לכם  ביום 
הראשון  פרי  עץ  הדר
כפת  תמרים  וענף
עץ־עבת  וערבי־נחל
ושמחתם  לפני  יהוה
אלהיכם  שבעת  ימים׃
    And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.     You shall take on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God seven days.     On the first day, take the fruit of fair trees, branches of palm-trees, and branches of thick trees and trees from the riverside, and be glad before the Lord for seven days.
 
41.    וחגתם  אתו  חג 
ליהוה  שבעת  ימים
בשנה  חקת  עולם
לדרתיכם  בחדש
השביעי  תחגו  אתו׃
    And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.     You shall keep it a feast to Yahweh seven days in the year: it is a statute forever throughout your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh month.     And let this feast be kept before the Lord for seven days in the year: it is a rule for ever from generation to generation; in the seventh month let it be kept.
 
42.    בסכת  תשבו  שבעת 
ימים  כל־האזרח
בישראל  ישבו  בסכת׃
    Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:     You shall dwell in booths seven days. All who are native-born in Israel shall dwell in booths,     For seven days you will be living in tents; all those who are Israelites by birth are to make tents their living-places:
 
43.    למען  ידעו  דרתיכם 
כי  בסכות  הושבתי
את־בני  ישראל
בהוציאי  אותם  מארץ
מצרים  אני  יהוה
אלהיכם׃
    That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.     that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.'"     So that future generations may keep in mind how I gave the children of Israel tents as their living-places when I took them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
 
44.    וידבר  משה  את־מעדי 
יהוה  אל־בני
ישראל׃
    And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.     Moses declared to the children of Israel the appointed feasts of Yahweh.     And Moses made clear to the children of Israel the orders about the fixed feasts of the Lord.
