1.    God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.     And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;     ויזכר  אלהים  את־נח 
ואת  כל־החיה
ואת־כל־הבהמה  אשר
אתו  בתבה  ויעבר
אלהים  רוח  על־הארץ
וישכו  המים׃
    VYZKUr 'aLHYM 'aTh-NCh V'aTh KL-HChYH V'aTh-KL-HBHMH 'aShUr 'aThV BThBH VY'yBUr 'aLHYM UrVCh 'yL-H'aUrTSh VYShKV HMYM.     And God remembereth Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle which are with him in the ark, and God causeth a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subside,     recordatus autem Deus Noe cunctarumque animantium et omnium iumentorum quae erant cum eo in arca adduxit spiritum super terram et inminutae sunt aquae
 
2.    The deep's fountains and the sky's windows were also stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained.     The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;     ויסכרו  מעינת  תהום 
וארבת  השמים  ויכלא
הגשם  מן־השמים׃
    VYSKUrV M'yYNTh ThHVM V'aUrBTh HShMYM VYKL'a HGShM MN-HShMYM.     and closed are the fountains of the deep and the net-work of the heavens, and restrained is the shower from the heavens.     et clausi sunt fontes abyssi et cataractae caeli et prohibitae sunt pluviae de caelo
 
3.    The waters receded from the earth continually. After the end of one hundred fifty days the waters decreased.     And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.     וישבו  המים  מעל 
הארץ  הלוך  ושוב
ויחסרו  המים  מקצה
חמשים  ומאת  יום׃
    VYShBV HMYM M'yL H'aUrTSh HLVK VShVB VYChSUrV HMYM MQTShH ChMShYM VM'aTh YVM.     And turn back do the waters from off the earth, going on and returning; and the waters are lacking at the end of a hundred and fifty days.     reversaeque aquae de terra euntes et redeuntes et coeperunt minui post centum quinquaginta dies
 
4.    The ship rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on Ararat's mountains.     And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.     ותנח  התבה  בחדש 
השביעי  בשבעה־עשר
יום  לחדש  על  הרי
אררט׃
    VThNCh HThBH BChDSh HShBY'yY BShB'yH-'yShUr YVM LChDSh 'yL HUrY 'aUrUrT.     And the ark resteth, in the seventh month, in the seventeenth day of the month, on mountains of Ararat;     requievitque arca mense septimo vicesima septima die mensis super montes Armeniae
 
5.    The waters receded continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.     And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.     והמים  היו  הלוך 
וחסור  עד  החדש
העשירי  בעשירי
באחד  לחדש  נראו
ראשי  ההרים׃
    VHMYM HYV HLVK VChSVUr 'yD HChDSh H'yShYUrY B'yShYUrY B'aChD LChDSh NUr'aV Ur'aShY HHUrYM.     and the waters have been going and becoming lacking till the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first of the month, appeared the heads of the mountains.     at vero aquae ibant et decrescebant usque ad decimum mensem decimo enim mense prima die mensis apparuerunt cacumina montium
 
6.    It happened at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ship which he had made,     And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:     ויהי  מקץ  ארבעים 
יום  ויפתח  נח
את־חלון  התבה  אשר
עשה׃
    VYHY MQTSh 'aUrB'yYM YVM VYPhThCh NCh 'aTh-ChLVN HThBH 'aShUr 'yShH.     And it cometh to pass, at the end of forty days, that Noah openeth the window of the ark which he made,     cumque transissent quadraginta dies aperiens Noe fenestram arcae quam fecerat dimisit corvum
 
7.    and he sent forth a raven. It went back and forth, until the waters were dried up from the earth.     And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.     וישלח  את־הערב 
ויצא  יצוא  ושוב
עד־יבשת  המים  מעל
הארץ׃
    VYShLCh 'aTh-H'yUrB VYTSh'a YTShV'a VShVB 'yD-YBShTh HMYM M'yL H'aUrTSh.     and he sendeth forth the raven, and it goeth out, going out and turning back till the drying of the waters from off the earth.     qui egrediebatur et revertebatur donec siccarentur aquae super terram
 
8.    He sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from the surface of the ground,     Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;     וישלח  את־היונה 
מאתו  לראות  הקלו
המים  מעל  פני
האדמה׃
    VYShLCh 'aTh-HYVNH M'aThV LUr'aVTh HQLV HMYM M'yL PhNY H'aDMH.     And he sendeth forth the dove from him to see whether the waters have been lightened from off the face of the ground,     emisit quoque columbam post eum ut videret si iam cessassent aquae super faciem terrae
 
9.    but the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned to him into the ship; for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. He put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ship.     But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.     ולא־מצאה  היונה 
מנוח  לכף־רגלה
ותשב  אליו  אל־התבה
כי־מים  על־פני
כל־הארץ  וישלח  ידו
ויקחה  ויבא  אתה
אליו  אל־התבה׃
    VL'a-MTSh'aH HYVNH MNVCh LKPh-UrGLH VThShB 'aLYV 'aL-HThBH KY-MYM 'yL-PhNY KL-H'aUrTSh VYShLCh YDV VYQChH VYB'a 'aThH 'aLYV 'aL-HThBH.     and the dove hath not found rest for the sole of her foot, and she turneth back unto him, unto the ark, for waters are on the face of all the earth, and he putteth out his hand, and taketh her, and bringeth her in unto him, unto the ark.     quae cum non invenisset ubi requiesceret pes eius reversa est ad eum in arcam aquae enim erant super universam terram extenditque manum et adprehensam intulit in arcam
 
10.    He stayed yet another seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ship.     And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;     ויחל  עוד  שבעת 
ימים  אחרים  ויסף
שלח  את־היונה
מן־התבה׃
    VYChL 'yVD ShB'yTh YMYM 'aChUrYM VYSPh ShLCh 'aTh-HYVNH MN-HThBH.     And he stayeth yet other seven days, and addeth to send forth the dove from the ark;     expectatis autem ultra septem diebus aliis rursum dimisit columbam ex arca
 
11.    The dove came back to him at evening, and, behold, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth.     And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.     ותבא  אליו  היונה 
לעת  ערב  והנה
עלה־זית  טרף  בפיה
וידע  נח  כי־קלו
המים  מעל  הארץ׃
    VThB'a 'aLYV HYVNH L'yTh 'yUrB VHNH 'yLH-ZYTh TUrPh BPhYH VYD'y NCh KY-QLV HMYM M'yL H'aUrTSh.     and the dove cometh in unto him at even-time, and lo, an olive leaf torn off in her mouth; and Noah knoweth that the waters have been lightened from off the earth.     at illa venit ad eum ad vesperam portans ramum olivae virentibus foliis in ore suo intellexit ergo Noe quod cessassent aquae super terram
 
12.    He stayed yet another seven days, and sent forth the dove; and she didn't return to him any more.     And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.     וייחל  עוד  שבעת 
ימים  אחרים  וישלח
את־היונה  ולא־יספה
שוב־אליו  עוד׃
    VYYChL 'yVD ShB'yTh YMYM 'aChUrYM VYShLCh 'aTh-HYVNH VL'a-YSPhH ShVB-'aLYV 'yVD.     And he stayeth yet other seven days, and sendeth forth the dove, and it added not to turn back unto him any more.     expectavitque nihilominus septem alios dies et emisit columbam quae non est reversa ultra ad eum
 
13.    It happened in the six hundred first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ship, and looked. He saw that the surface of the ground was dried.     And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.     ויהי  באחת 
ושש־מאות  שנה
בראשון  באחד  לחדש
חרבו  המים  מעל
הארץ  ויסר  נח
את־מכסה  התבה  וירא
והנה  חרבו  פני
האדמה׃
    VYHY B'aChTh VShSh-M'aVTh ShNH BUr'aShVN B'aChD LChDSh ChUrBV HMYM M'yL H'aUrTSh VYSUr NCh 'aTh-MKSH HThBH VYUr'a VHNH ChUrBV PhNY H'aDMH.     And it cometh to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, in the first of the month, the waters have been dried from off the earth; and Noah turneth aside the covering of the ark, and looketh, and lo, the face of the ground hath been dried.     igitur sescentesimo primo anno primo mense prima die mensis inminutae sunt aquae super terram et aperiens Noe tectum arcae aspexit viditque quod exsiccata esset superficies terrae
 
14.    In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.     And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.     ובחדש  השני  בשבעה 
ועשרים  יום  לחדש
יבשה  הארץ׃
    VBChDSh HShNY BShB'yH V'yShUrYM YVM LChDSh YBShH H'aUrTSh.     And in the second month, in the seven and twentieth day of the month, the earth hath become dry.     mense secundo septima et vicesima die mensis arefacta est terra
 
15.    God spoke to Noah, saying,     And God spake unto Noah, saying,     וידבר  אלהים  אל־נח 
לאמר׃
    VYDBUr 'aLHYM 'aL-NCh L'aMUr.     And God speaketh unto Noah, saying, `Go out from the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons` wives with thee;     locutus est autem Deus ad Noe dicens
 
16.    "Go out of the ship, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons' wives with you.     Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.     צא  מן־התבה  אתה 
ואשתך  ובניך
ונשי־בניך  אתך׃
    TSh'a MN-HThBH 'aThH V'aShThK VBNYK VNShY-BNYK 'aThK.     every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, among fowl, and among cattle, and among every creeping thing which is creeping on the earth, bring out with thee;     egredere de arca tu et uxor tua filii tui et uxores filiorum tuorum tecum
 
17.    Bring forth with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth."     Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.     כל־החיה  אשר־אתך 
מכל־בשר  בעוף
ובבהמה  ובכל־הרמש
הרמש  על־הארץ  הוצא
אתך  ושרצו  בארץ
ופרו  ורבו
על־הארץ׃
    KL-HChYH 'aShUr-'aThK MKL-BShUr B'yVPh VBBHMH VBKL-HUrMSh HUrMSh 'yL-H'aUrTSh HVTSh'a 'aThK VShUrTShV B'aUrTSh VPhUrV VUrBV 'yL-H'aUrTSh.     and they have teemed in the earth, and been fruitful, and have multiplied on the earth.`     cuncta animantia quae sunt apud te ex omni carne tam in volatilibus quam in bestiis et in universis reptilibus quae reptant super terram educ tecum et ingredimini super terram crescite et multiplicamini super eam
 
18.    Noah went forth, with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives with him.     And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:     ויצא־נח  ובניו 
ואשתו  ונשי־בניו
אתו׃
    VYTSh'a-NCh VBNYV V'aShThV VNShY-BNYV 'aThV.     And Noah goeth out, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons` wives with him;     egressus est ergo Noe et filii eius uxor illius et uxores filiorum eius cum eo
 
19.    Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatever moves on the earth, after their families, went out of the ship.     Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.     כל־החיה  כל־הרמש 
וכל־העוף  כל  רומש
על־הארץ  למשפחתיהם
יצאו  מן־  התבה׃
    KL-HChYH KL-HUrMSh VKL-H'yVPh KL UrVMSh 'yL-H'aUrTSh LMShPhChThYHM YTSh'aV MN- HThBH.     every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl; every creeping thing on the earth, after their families, have gone out from the ark.     sed et omnia animantia iumenta et reptilia quae repunt super terram secundum genus suum arcam egressa sunt
 
20.    Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.     And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.     ויבן  נח  מזבח 
ליהוה  ויקח  מכל
הבהמה  הטהרה  ומכל
העוף  הטהור  ויעל
עלת  במזבח׃
    VYBN NCh MZBCh LYHVH VYQCh MKL HBHMH HTHUrH VMKL H'yVPh HTHVUr VY'yL 'yLTh BMZBCh.     And Noah buildeth an altar to Jehovah, and taketh of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and causeth burnt-offerings to ascend on the altar;     aedificavit autem Noe altare Domino et tollens de cunctis pecoribus et volucribus mundis obtulit holocausta super altare
 
21.    Yahweh smelled the pleasant aroma. Yahweh said in his heart, "I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I ever again strike everything living, as I have done.     And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.     וירח  יהוה  את־ריח 
הניחח  ויאמר  יהוה
אל־לבו  לא־אסף
לקלל  עוד  את־
האדמה  בעבור  האדם
כי  יצר  לב  האדם  רע
מנעריו  ולא־אסף
עוד  להכות  את־
כל־חי  כאשר  עשיתי׃
    VYUrCh YHVH 'aTh-UrYCh HNYChCh VY'aMUr YHVH 'aL-LBV L'a-'aSPh LQLL 'yVD 'aTh- H'aDMH B'yBVUr H'aDM KY YTShUr LB H'aDM Ur'y MN'yUrYV VL'a-'aSPh 'yVD LHKVTh 'aTh- KL-ChY K'aShUr 'yShYThY.     and Jehovah smelleth the sweet fragrance, and Jehovah saith unto His heart, `I continue not to disesteem any more the ground because of man, though the imagination of the heart of man is evil from his youth; and I continue not to smite any more all living, as I have done;     odoratusque est Dominus odorem suavitatis et ait ad eum nequaquam ultra maledicam terrae propter homines sensus enim et cogitatio humani cordis in malum prona sunt ab adulescentia sua non igitur ultra percutiam omnem animantem sicut feci
 
22.    While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."     While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.     עד  כל־ימי  הארץ 
זרע  וקציר  וקר  וחם
וקיץ  וחרף  ויום
ולילה  לא  ישבתו׃
    'yD KL-YMY H'aUrTSh ZUr'y VQTShYUr VQUr VChM VQYTSh VChUrPh VYVM VLYLH L'a YShBThV.     during all days of the earth, seed-time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, do not cease.`     cunctis diebus terrae sementis et messis frigus et aestus aestas et hiemps nox et dies non requiescent
