1.  *     By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour;     By the sun and its brightness.     And/by the sun and its sunrise/day light.     swr+ al$ms bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? wal$ms wDHaha
 
2.  *     By the Moon as she follows him;     The moon that follows it.     And/by the moon when/if it followed it.     walqmr aXa tlaha
 
3.  *     By the Day as it shows up (the Sun's) glory;     The day that reveals.     And/by the daytime when/if it shined/revealed it.     walnhar aXa jlaha
 
4.  *     By the Night as it conceals it;     The night that covers.     And/by the night when/if it covers/darkens it.     wallyl aXa yG$aha
 
5.  *     By the Firmament and its (wonderful) structure;     The sky and Him who built it.     And/by the sky/space and who built/constructed it.     walsma' wmabnaha
 
6.  *     By the Earth and its (wide) expanse:     The earth and Him who sustains it.     And/by the earth/Planet Earth and who spread and extended it.     walarD wmaTHaha
 
7.  *     By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it;     The soul and Him who created it.     And/by a self and who straightened it.     wnfs wmaswaha
 
8.  *     And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right;-     Then showed it what is evil and what is good.     So He inspired/transmitted (to) it its debauchery/corruption, and its fear and obedience of God.     falhmha fjwrha wtqwaha
 
9.  *     Truly he succeeds that purifies it,     Successful is one who redeems it.     Who purified/corrected it had succeeded/won.     qd aflH mn zkaha
 
10.  *     And he fails that corrupts it!     Failing is one who neglects it.     And who buried it/plotted against it (corrupted it) had failed/despaired.     wqd Kab mn dsaha
 
11.  *     The Thamud (people) rejected (their prophet) through their inordinate wrong-doing,     Thamoud's disbelief caused them to transgress.     Thamud had lied/denied/falsified with its own tyranny/excess of the limit.     kXbt xmwd bTGwaha
 
12.  *     Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed (for impiety).     They followed the worst among them.     When/if its most miserable/unhappy stirred up/urged.     aX anb`x a$qaha
 
13.  *     But the Messenger of Allah said to them: "It is a She-camel of Allah. And (bar her not from) having her drink!"     GOD's messenger said to them, "This is GOD's camel; let her drink."     So God's messenger said to them: "God's female camel, and its drink/drinking (water)."     fqal lhm rswl allh naq+ allh wsqyaha
 
14.  *     Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)!     They disbelieved him and slaughtered her. Their Lord then requited them for their sin and annihilated them.     So they denied him, so they wounded it/slaughtered it/made it infertile, so their Lord became angry/destroyed on them because of their crime, so He straightened it.     fkXbwh f`qrwha fdmdm `lyhm rbhm bXnbhm fswaha
 
15.  *     And for Him is no fear of its consequences.     Yet, those who came after them remain heedless.     And He does not fear its end/turn (result).     wlayKaf `qbaha
