1.    ברכי  נפשי  את־יהוה 
יהוה  אלהי  גדלת
מאד  הוד  והדר
לבשת׃
    Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.     Bless Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.     Give praise to the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are very great; you are robed with honour and power.
 
2.    עטה־אור  כשלמה 
נוטה  שמים  כיריעה׃
    Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:     He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.     You are clothed with light as with a robe; stretching out the heavens like a curtain:
 
3.    המקרה  במים 
עליותיו  השם־עבים
רכובו  המהלך
על־כנפי־רוח׃
    Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:     He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.     The arch of your house is based on the waters; you make the clouds your carriage; you go on the wings of the wind:
 
4.    עשה  מלאכיו  רוחות 
משרתיו  אש  להט׃
    Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:     He makes his messengers{or, angels} winds; his servants flames of fire.     He makes winds his angels, and flames of fire his servants.
 
5.    יסד־ארץ  על־מכוניה 
בל־תמוט  עולם  ועד׃
    Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.     He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.     He has made the earth strong on its bases, so that it may not be moved for ever and ever;
 
6.    תהום  כלבוש  כסיתו 
על־הרים
יעמדו־מים׃
    Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.     You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.     Covering it with the sea as with a robe: the waters were high over the mountains;
 
7.    מן־גערתך  ינוסון 
מן־קול  רעמך
יחפזון׃
    At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.     At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.     At the voice of your word they went in flight; at the sound of your thunder they went away in fear;
 
8.    יעלו  הרים  ירדו 
בקעות  אל־מקום  זה
יסדת  להם׃
    They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.     The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.     The mountains came up and the valleys went down into the place which you had made ready for them.
 
9.    גבול־שמת 
בל־יעברון
בל־ישובון  לכסות
הארץ׃
    Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.     You have set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they don't turn again to cover the earth.     You made a limit over which they might not go, so that the earth would never again be covered by them.
 
10.    המשלח  מעינים 
בנחלים  בין  הרים
יהלכון׃
    He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.     He sends forth springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.     You sent the springs into the valleys; they are flowing between the hills.
 
11.    ישקו  כל־חיתו  שדי 
ישברו  פראים  צמאם׃
    They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.     They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.     They give drink to every beast of the field; the mountain asses come to them for water.
 
12.    עליהם  עוף־השמים 
ישכון  מבין  עפאים
יתנו־קול׃
    By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.     The birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.     The birds of the air have their resting-places by them, and make their song among the branches.
 
13.    משקה  הרים 
מעליותיו  מפרי
מעשיך  תשבע  הארץ׃
    He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.     He waters the mountains from his chambers. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.     He sends down rain from his store-houses on the hills: the earth is full of the fruit of his works.
 
14.    מצמיח  חציר  לבהמה 
ועשב  לעבדת  האדם
להוציא  לחם
מן־הארץ׃
    He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;     He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food out of the earth:     He makes the grass come up for the cattle, and plants for the use of man; so that bread may come out of the earth;
 
15.    ויין  ישמח 
לבב־אנוש  להצהיל
פנים  משמן  ולחם
לבב־אנוש  יסעד׃
    And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.     wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart.     And wine to make glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face shining, and bread giving strength to his heart.
 
16.    ישבעו  עצי  יהוה 
ארזי  לבנון  אשר
נטע׃
    The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;     Yahweh's trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;     The trees of the Lord are full of growth, the cedars of Lebanon of his planting;
 
17.    אשר־שם  צפרים 
יקננו  חסידה
ברושים  ביתה׃
    Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.     where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the fir trees.     Where the birds have their resting-places; as for the stork, the tall trees are her house.
 
18.    הרים  הגבהים 
ליעלים  סלעים  מחסה
לשפנים׃
    The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.     The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.     The high hills are a safe place for the mountain goats, and the rocks for the small beasts.
 
19.    עשה  ירח  למועדים 
שמש  ידע  מבואו׃
    He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.     He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.     He made the moon for a sign of the divisions of the year; teaching the sun the time of its going down.
 
20.    תשת־חשך  ויהי  לילה 
בו־תרמש
כל־חיתו־יער׃
    Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.     You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.     When you make it dark, it is night, when all the beasts of the woods come quietly out of their secret places.
 
21.    הכפירים  שאגים 
לטרף  ולבקש  מאל
אכלם׃
    The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.     The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.     The young lions go thundering after their food; searching for their meat from God.
 
22.    תזרח  השמש  יאספון 
ואל־מעונתם
ירבצון׃
    The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.     The sun rises, and they steal away, and lay down in their dens.     The sun comes up, and they come together, and go back to their secret places to take their rest.
 
23.    יצא  אדם  לפעלו 
ולעבדתו  עדי־ערב׃
    Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.     Man goes forth to his work, to his labor until the evening.     Man goes out to his work, and to his business, till the evening.
 
24.    מה־רבו  מעשיך  יהוה 
כלם  בחכמה  עשית
מלאה  הארץ  קנינך׃
    O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.     Yahweh, how many are your works! In wisdom have you made them all. The earth is full of your riches.     O Lord, how great is the number of your works! in wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of the things you have made.
 
25.    זה  הים  גדול  ורחב 
ידים  שם־רמש  ואין
מספר  חיות  קטנות
עם־גדלות׃
    So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.     There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.     There is the great, wide sea, where there are living things, great and small, more than may be numbered.
 
26.    שם  אניות  יהלכון 
לויתן  זה־יצרת
לשחק־בו׃
    There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.     There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.     There go the ships; there is that great beast, which you have made as a plaything.
 
27.    כלם  אליך  ישברון 
לתת  אכלם  בעתו׃
    These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.     These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.     All of them are waiting for you, to give them their food in its time.
 
28.    תתן  להם  ילקטון 
תפתח  ידך  ישבעון
טוב׃
    That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.     You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.     They take what you give them; they are full of the good things which come from your open hand.
 
29.    תסתיר  פניך  יבהלון 
תסף  רוחם  יגועון
ואל־עפרם  ישובון׃
    Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.     You hide your face: they are troubled; you take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.     If your face is veiled, they are troubled; when you take away their breath, they come to an end, and go back to the dust.
 
30.    תשלח  רוחך  יבראון 
ותחדש  פני  אדמה׃
    Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.     You send forth your Spirit: they are created. You renew the face of the ground.     If you send out your spirit, they are given life; you make new the face of the earth.
 
31.    יהי  כבוד  יהוה 
לעולם  ישמח  יהוה
במעשיו׃
    The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.     Let the glory of Yahweh endure forever. Let Yahweh rejoice in his works.     Let the glory of the Lord be for ever; let the Lord have joy in his works:
 
32.    המביט  לארץ  ותרעד 
יגע  בהרים  ויעשנו׃
    He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.     He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.     At whose look the earth is shaking; at whose touch the mountains send out smoke.
 
33.    אשירה  ליהוה  בחיי 
אזמרה  לאלהי
בעודי׃
    I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.     I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.     I will make songs to the Lord all my life; I will make melody to my God while I have my being.
 
34.    יערב  עליו  שיחי 
אנכי  אשמח  ביהוה׃
    My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.     Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Yahweh.     Let my thoughts be sweet to him: I will be glad in the Lord.
 
35.    יתמו  חטאים 
מן־הארץ  ורשעים
עוד  אינם  ברכי
נפשי  את־יהוה
הללו־  יה׃
    Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.     Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, my soul. Praise Yah!     Let sinners be cut off from the earth, and let all evil-doers come to an end. Give praise to the Lord, O my soul. Give praise to the Lord.
