1.    הודו  ליהוה  קראו 
בשמו  הודיעו  בעמים
עלילותיו׃
    O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.     Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name! Make his doings known among the peoples.     O give praise to the Lord; give honour to his name, talking of his doings among the peoples.
 
2.    שירו־לו  זמרו־לו 
שיחו
בכל־נפלאותיו׃
    Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.     Sing to him, sing praises to him! Tell of all his marvelous works.     Let your voice be sounding in songs and melody; let all your thoughts be of the wonder of his works.
 
3.    התהללו  בשם  קדשו 
ישמח  לב  מבקשי
יהוה׃
    Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.     Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.     Have glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who are searching after the Lord be glad.
 
4.    דרשו  יהוה  ועזו 
בקשו  פניו  תמיד׃
    Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.     Seek Yahweh and his strength. Seek his face forever more.     Let your search be for the Lord and for his strength; let your hearts ever be turned to him.
 
5.    זכרו  נפלאותיו 
אשר־עשה  מפתיו
ומשפטי־פיו׃
    Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;     Remember his marvelous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,     Keep in mind the great works which he has done; his wonders, and the decisions of his mouth;
 
6.    זרע  אברהם  עבדו 
בני  יעקב  בחיריו׃
    O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.     you seed of Abraham, his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.     O you seed of Abraham, his servant, you children of Jacob, his loved ones.
 
7.    הוא  יהוה  אלהינו 
בכל־הארץ  משפטיו׃
    He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.     He is Yahweh, our God. His judgments are in all the earth.     He is the Lord our God: he is judge of all the earth.
 
8.    זכר  לעולם  בריתו 
דבר  צוה  לאלף  דור׃
    He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.     He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,     He has kept his agreement in mind for ever, the word which he gave for a thousand generations;
 
9.    אשר  כרת  את־אברהם 
ושבועתו  לישחק׃
    Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;     the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac,     The agreement which he made with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac;
 
10.    ויעמידה  ליעקב  לחק 
לישראל  ברית  עולם׃
    And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:     and confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute; to Israel for an everlasting covenant,     And he gave it to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an eternal agreement;
 
11.    לאמר  לך  אתן 
את־ארץ־כנען  חבל
נחלתכם׃
    Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:     saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;"     Saying, To you will I give the land of Canaan, the measured line of your heritage:
 
12.    בהיותם  מתי  מספר 
כמעט  וגרים  בה׃
    When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.     when they were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.     When they were still small in number, and strange in the land;
 
13.    ויתהלכו  מגוי 
אל־גוי  מממלכה
אל־עם  אחר׃
    When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;     They went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.     When they went about from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people.
 
14.    לא־הניח  אדם  לעשקם 
ויוכח  עליהם
מלכים׃
    He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;     He allowed no one to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes,     He would not let anyone do them wrong; he even kept back kings because of them,
 
15.    אל־תגעו  במשיחי 
ולנביאי  אל־תרעו׃
    Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.     "Don't touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!"     Saying, Put not your hand on those who have been marked with my holy oil, and do my prophets no wrong.
 
16.    ויקרא  רעב  על־הארץ 
כל־מטה־לחם  שבר׃
    Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.     He called for a famine on the land. He destroyed the food supplies.     And he took away all food from the land, so that the people were without bread.
 
17.    שלח  לפניהם  איש 
לעבד  נמכר  יוסף׃
    He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:     He sent a man before them. Joseph was sold for a slave.     He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was given as a servant for a price:
 
18.    ענו  בכבל  רגליו 
ברזל  באה  נפשו׃
    Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:     They bruised his feet with shackles. His neck was locked in irons,     His feet were fixed in chains; his neck was put in iron bands;
 
19.    עד־עת  בא־דברו 
אמרת  יהוה  צרפתהו׃
    Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.     until the time that his word happened, and Yahweh's word proved him true.     Till the time when his word came true; he was tested by the word of the Lord.
 
20.    שלח  מלך  ויתירהו 
משל  עמים  ויפתחהו׃
    The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.     The king sent and freed him; even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free.     The king sent men to take off his chains; even the ruler of the people, who let him go free.
 
21.    שמו  אדון  לביתו 
ומשל  בכל־קנינו׃
    He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:     He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all of his possessions;     He made him lord of his house, and ruler over everything he had;
 
22.    לאסר  שריו  בנפשו 
וזקניו  יחכם׃
    To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.     to discipline his princes at his pleasure, and to teach his elders wisdom.     To give his chiefs teaching at his pleasure, and so that his law-givers might get wisdom from him.
 
23.    ויבא  ישראל  מצרים 
ויעקב  גר  בארץ־חם׃
    Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.     Israel also came into Egypt. Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.     Then Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob was living in the land of Ham.
 
24.    ויפר  את־עמו  מאד 
ויעצמהו  מצריו׃
    And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.     He increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.     And his people were greatly increased, and became stronger than those who were against them.
 
25.    הפך  לבם  לשנא  עמו 
להתנכל  בעבדיו׃
    He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.     He turned their heart to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.     Their hearts were turned to hate against his people, so that they made secret designs against them.
 
26.    שלח  משה  עבדו  אהרן 
אשר  בחר־בו׃
    He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.     He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.     He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, the man of his selection.
 
27.    שמו־בם  דברי 
אתותיו  ומפתים
בארץ  חם׃
    They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.     They performed miracles among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.     He let his signs be seen among the people, and his wonders in the land of Ham.
 
28.    שלח  חשך  ויחשך 
ולא־מרו  את־דברוו׃
    He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.     He sent darkness, and made it dark. They didn't rebel against his words.     He sent black night and made it dark; and they did not go against his word.
 
29.    הפך  את־מימיהם  לדם 
וימת  את־דגתם׃
    He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.     He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish.     At his word their waters were turned to blood, and he sent death on all their fish.
 
30.    שרץ  ארצם  צפרדעים 
בחדרי  מלכיהם׃
    Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.     Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings.     Their land was full of frogs, even in the rooms of the king.
 
31.    אמר  ויבא  ערב  כנים 
בכל־גבולם׃
    He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.     He spoke, and swarms of flies came, and lice in all their borders.     He gave the word, and there came the dog-fly, and insects over all the land.
 
32.    נתן  גשמיהם  ברד  אש 
להבות  בארצם׃
    He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.     He gave them hail for rain, with lightning in their land.     He gave them ice for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
 
33.    ויך  גפנם  ותאנתם 
וישבר  עץ  גבולם׃
    He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.     He struck their vines and also their fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.     He gave their vines and their fig-trees to destruction, and the trees of their land were broken down.
 
34.    אמר  ויבא  ארבה 
וילק  ואין  מספר׃
    He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,     He spoke, and the locusts came, and the grasshoppers, without number,     At his word the locusts came, and young locusts more than might be numbered,
 
35.    ויאכל  כל־עשב 
בארצם  ויאכל  פרי
אדמתם׃
    And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.     ate up every plant in their land; and ate up the fruit of their ground.     And put an end to all the plants of their land, taking all the fruit of the earth for food.
 
36.    ויך  כל־בכור  בארצם 
ראשית  לכל־אונם׃
    He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.     He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first fruits of all their manhood.     He put to death the first child of every family in the land, the first-fruits of their strength.
 
37.    ויוציאם  בכסף  וזהב 
ואין  בשבטיו  כושל׃
    He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.     He brought them forth with silver and gold. There was not one feeble person among his tribes.     He took his people out with silver and gold: there was not one feeble person among them.
 
38.    שמח  מצרים  בצאתם 
כי־נפל  פחדם
עליהם׃
    Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.     Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen on them.     Egypt was glad when they went; for the fear of them had come down on them.
 
39.    פרש  ענן  למסך  ואש 
להאיר  לילה׃
    He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.     He spread a cloud for a covering, fire to give light in the night.     A cloud was stretched over them for a cover; and he sent fire to give light in the night.
 
40.    שאל  ויבא  שלו  ולחם 
שמים  ישביעם׃
    The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.     They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of the sky.     At the people's request he sent birds, and gave them the bread of heaven for food.
 
41.    פתח  צור  ויזובו 
מים  הלכו  בציות
נהר׃

42.    כי־זכר  את־דבר 
קדשו  את־אברהם
עבדו׃
    For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.     For he remembered his holy word, and Abraham, his servant.     For he kept in mind his holy word, and Abraham, his servant.
 
43.    ויוצא  עמו  בששון 
ברנה  את־בחיריו׃
    And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:     He brought forth his people with joy, his chosen with singing.     And he took his people out with joy, the men of his selection with glad cries:
 
44.    ויתן  להם  ארצות 
גוים  ועמל  לאמים
יירשו׃
    And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;     He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labor of the peoples in possession,     And gave them the lands of the nations; and they took the work of the peoples for a heritage;
 
45.    בעבור  ישמרו  חקיו 
ותורתיו  ינצרו
הללו־יה׃
    That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.     that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise Yah!     So that they might keep his orders, and be true to his laws. Give praise to the Lord.
