The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.     {For the Chief Musician. By David, the servant of Yahweh.} An oracle is within my heart about the disobedience of the wicked: "There is no fear of God before his eyes."     To the chief music-maker. Of the servant of the Lord. Of David.

For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.     For he flatters himself in his own eyes, too much to detect and hate his sin.     The sin of the evil-doer says in his heart, There is no fear of the Lord before his eyes.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.     The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good.     For he takes comfort in the thought that his sin will not be uncovered and hated.

He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.     He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himself in a way that is not good. He doesn't abhor evil.     In the words of his mouth are evil and deceit; he has given up being wise and doing good.

Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.     Your loving kindness, Yahweh, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.     He gives thought to evil on his bed; he takes a way which is not good; he is not a hater of evil.

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.     Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. Yahweh, you preserve man and animal.     Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens, and your strong purpose is as high as the clouds.

How excellent is thy loving-kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.     How precious is your loving kindness, God! The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings.     Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judging is like the great deep; O Lord, you give life to man and beast.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.     They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures.     How good is your loving mercy, O God! the children of men take cover under the shade of your wings.

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.     For with you is the spring of life. In your light shall we see light.     The delights of your house will be showered on them; you will give them drink from the river of your pleasures.

O continue thy loving-kindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.     Oh continue your loving kindness to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.     For with you is the fountain of life: in your light we will see light.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.     Don't let the foot of pride come against me. Don't let the hand of the wicked drive me away.     O let there be no end to your loving mercy to those who have knowledge of you, or of your righteousness to the upright in heart.

There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.     There the workers of iniquity are fallen. They are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.     Let not the foot of pride come against me, or the hand of the evil-doers put me out of my place.
