Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.     {For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.} Blessed is he who considers the poor. Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil.     To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.

The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.     Yahweh will preserve him, and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth, and he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.     Happy is the man who gives thought to the poor; the Lord will be his saviour in the time of trouble.

The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.     Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.     The Lord will keep him safe, and give him life; the Lord will let him be a blessing on the earth, and will not give him into the hand of his haters.

I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.     I said, "Yahweh, have mercy on me! Heal me, for I have sinned against you."     The Lord will be his support on his bed of pain: by you will all his grief be turned to strength.

Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?     My enemies speak evil against me: "When will he die, and his name perish?"     I said, Lord, have mercy on me; make my soul well, because my faith is in you.

And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.     If he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it.     My haters say evil against me, When will he be dead, and his name come to an end?

All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.     All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me.     If one comes to see me, deceit is in his heart; he keeps a store of evil, which he makes public in every place.

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.     "An evil disease," they say, "has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more."     All my haters are talking secretly together against me; they are designing my downfall.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.     Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate bread with me, has lifted up his heel against me.     They say, He has an evil disease, which will not let him go: and now that he is down he will not get up again.

But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.     But you, Yahweh, have mercy on me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.     Even my dearest friend, in whom I had faith, who took bread with me, is turned against me.

By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.     By this I know that you delight in me, because my enemy doesn't triumph over me.     But you, O Lord, have mercy on me, lifting me up, so that I may give them their punishment.

And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.     As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me in your presence forever.     By this I see that you have pleasure in me, because my hater does not overcome me.

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.     Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting! Amen and amen.     And as for me, you are my support in my righteousness, giving me a place before your face for ever.
