שמעה אלהים רנתי הקשיבה תפלתי׃ |

מקצה הארץ אליך אקרא בעטף לבי בצור־ירום ממני תנחני׃ |
For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. | For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy. | From the end of the earth will I send up my cry to you, when my heart is overcome: take me to the rock which is over-high for me. | |||

כי־היית מחסה לי מגדל־עז מפני אויב׃ |

כי־אתה אלהים שמעת לנדרי נתת ירשת יראי שמך׃ |
Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations. | You will prolong the king's life; his years shall be for generations. | For you, O God, have made answer to my prayers; you have given me the heritage of those who give honour to your name. | |||

ימים על־ימי־מלך תוסיף שנותיו כמו־דר ודר׃ |
He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him. | He shall be enthroned in God's presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him. | You will give the king long life; and make his years go on through the generations. | |||

ישב עולם לפני אלהים חסד ואמת מן ינצרהו׃ |
So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows. | So I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfill my vows daily. | May the seat of his authority be before God for ever; may mercy and righteousness keep him safe. | |||
