הודינו לך אלהים הודינו וקרוב שמך ספרו נפלאותיך׃ |
When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. | When I choose the appointed time, I will judge blamelessly. | To you, O God, we give praise, to you we give praise: and those who give honour to your name make clear your works of power. | |||

כי אקח מועד אני מישרים אשפט׃ |
The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. | The earth and all its inhabitants quake. I firmly hold its pillars. Selah. | When the right time has come, I will be the judge in righteousness. | |||

נמגים ארץ וכל־ישביה אנכי תכנתי עמודיה סלה׃ |
I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: | I said to the arrogant, "Don't boast!" I said to the wicked, "Don't lift up the horn. | When the earth and all its people become feeble, I am the support of its pillars. (Selah.) | |||

אמרתי להוללים אל־תהלו ולרשעים אל־תרימו קרן׃ |
Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. | Don't lift up your horn on high. Don't speak with a stiff neck." | I say to the men of pride, Let your pride be gone: and to the sinners, Let not your horn be lifted up. | |||

אל־תרימו למרום קרנכם תדברו בצואר עתק׃ |
For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. | For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. | Let not your horn be lifted up: let no more words of pride come from your outstretched necks. | |||

כי לא ממוצא וממערב ולא ממדבר הרים׃ |
But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. | But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another. | For honour does not come from the east, or from the west, or uplifting from the south; | |||

כי־אלהים שפט זה ישפיל וזה ירים׃ |
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. | For in the hand of Yahweh there is a cup, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours it out. Indeed the wicked of the earth drink and drink it to its very dregs. | But God is the judge, putting down one, and lifting up another. | |||

כי כוס ביד־יהוה ויין חמר מלא מסך ויגר מזה אך־שמריה ימצו ישתו כל רשעי־ארץ׃ |
But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. | But I will declare this forever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. | For in the hand of the Lord is a cup, and the wine is red; it is well mixed, overflowing from his hand: he will make all the sinners of the earth take of it, even to the last drop. | |||

ואני אגיד לעלם אזמרה לאלהי יעקב׃ |
All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. | I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up. | But I will ever be full of joy, making songs of praise to the God of Jacob. | |||

וכל־קרני רשעים אגדע תרוממנה קרנות צדיק׃ |
