VYChUr-'aPh DVD B'aYSh M'aD VY'aMUr 'aL-NThN ChY-YHVH KY BN-MVTh H'aYSh H'yShH Z'aTh. | And the anger of David burneth against the man exceedingly, and he saith unto Nathan, `Jehovah liveth, surely a son of death is the man who is doing this, | iratus autem indignatione David adversus hominem illum nimis dixit ad Nathan vivit Dominus quoniam filius mortis est vir qui fecit hoc | |||||

This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul. | And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. | 13. | David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against Yahweh." Nathan said to David, "Yahweh also has put away your sin. You will not die. | And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. |
ויאמר דוד אל־נתן חטאתי ליהוה ויאמר נתן אל־דוד גם־יהוה העביר חטאתך לא תמות׃ |

| 14. | However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to Yahweh's enemies to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die." | Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. |

| 15. | Nathan departed to his house. Yahweh struck the child that Uriah's wife bore to David, and it was very sick. | And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick. |
