2.    my loving kindness, my fortress, my high tower, my deliverer, my shield, and he in whom I take refuge; who subdues my people under me.     My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.     חסדי  ומצודתי 
משגבי  ומפלטי  לי
מגני  ובו  חסיתי
הרודד  עמי  תחתי׃

3.    Yahweh, what is man, that you care for him? Or the son of man, that you think of him?     LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!     יהוה  מה־אדם 
ותדעהו  בן־אנוש
ותחשבהו׃
    YHVH MH-'aDM VThD'yHV BN-'aNVSh VThChShBHV.     Jehovah, what is man that Thou knowest him? Son of man, that Thou esteemest him?     Domine quid est homo quia cognoscis eum filius hominis quia conputas eum
 
4.    Man is like a breath. His days are like a shadow that passes away.     Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.     אדם  להבל  דמה  ימיו 
כצל  עובר׃
    'aDM LHBL DMH YMYV KTShL 'yVBUr.     Man to vanity hath been like, His days are as a shadow passing by.     homo vanitati adsimilatus est dies eius quasi umbra pertransiens
 
5.    Part your heavens, Yahweh, and come down. Touch the mountains, and they will smoke.     Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.     יהוה  הט־שמיך  ותרד 
גע  בהרים  ויעשנו׃
    YHVH HT-ShMYK VThUrD G'y BHUrYM VY'yShNV.     Jehovah, incline Thy heavens and come down, Strike against mountains, and they smoke.     Domine inclina caelos tuos et descende tange montes et fumigabunt
 
6.    Throw out lightning, and scatter them. Send out your arrows, and rout them.     Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.     ברוק  ברק  ותפיצם

7.    Stretch out your hand from above, rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, out of the hands of foreigners;     Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;     שלח  ידיך  ממרום 
פצני  והצילני  ממים
רבים  מיד  בני  נכר׃
    ShLCh YDYK MMUrVM PhTShNY VHTShYLNY MMYM UrBYM MYD BNY NKUr.     Send forth Thy hand from on high, Free me, and deliver me from many waters, From the hand of sons of a stranger,     extende manum tuam de excelso libera me et erue me de aquis multis de manu filiorum alienorum
 
8.    whose mouths speak deceit, Whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.     Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.     אשר  פיהם  דבר־שוא 
וימינם  ימין  שקר׃
    'aShUr PhYHM DBUr-ShV'a VYMYNM YMYN ShQUr.     Because their mouth hath spoken vanity, And their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.     quorum os locutum est vanitatem et dextera eorum dextera mendacii
 
9.    I will sing a new song to you, God. On a ten-stringed lyre, I will sing praises to you.     I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.     אלהים  שיר  חדש 
אשירה  לך  בנבל
עשור  אזמרה־לך׃
    'aLHYM ShYUr ChDSh 'aShYUrH LK BNBL 'yShVUr 'aZMUrH-LK.     O God, a new song I sing to Thee, On a psaltery of ten strings I sing praise to Thee.     Deus canticum novum cantabo tibi in psalterio decacordo psallam tibi
 
10.    You are he who gives salvation to kings, who rescues David, his servant, from the deadly sword.     It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.     הנותן  תשועה 
למלכים  הפוצה
את־דוד  עבדו  מחרב
רעה׃
    HNVThN ThShV'yH LMLKYM HPhVTShH 'aTh-DVD 'yBDV MChUrB Ur'yH.     Who is giving deliverance to kings, Who is freeing David His servant from the sword of evil.     qui dat salutem regibus qui eruit David servum suum de gladio pessimo
 
11.    Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hands of foreigners, whose mouths speak deceit, whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.     Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:     פצני  והצילני  מיד 
בני־נכר  אשר  פיהם
דבר־שוא  וימינם
ימין  שקר׃
    PhTShNY VHTShYLNY MYD BNY-NKUr 'aShUr PhYHM DBUr-ShV'a VYMYNM YMYN ShQUr.     Free me, and deliver me From the hand of sons of a stranger, Because their mouth hath spoken vanity, And their right hand is a right hand of falsehood,     libera me et erue me de manu filiorum alienorum quorum os locutum est vanitatem et dextera eorum dextera mendacii
 
12.    Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.     That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:     אשר  בנינו  כנטעים

    'aShUr BNYNV KNT'yYM MGDLYM BN'yVUrYHM BNVThYNV KZVYTh MChTBVTh ThBNYTh HYKL.     Because our sons are as plants, Becoming great in their youth, Our daughters as hewn stones, Polished -- the likeness of a palace,     ut sint filii nostri quasi plantatio crescens in adulescentia sua filiae nostrae quasi anguli ornati ad similitudinem templi
 
13.    Our barns are full, filled with all kinds of provision. Our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields.     That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:     מזוינו  מלאים 
מפיקים  מזן  אל־זן
צאוננו  מאליפות
מרבבות  בחוצותינו׃
    MZVYNV ML'aYM MPhYQYM MZN 'aL-ZN TSh'aVNNV M'aLYPhVTh MUrBBVTh BChVTShVThYNV.     Our garners are full, bringing out from kind to kind, Our flocks are bringing forth thousands, Ten thousands in our out-places,     promptuaria nostra plena et supereffundentia ex hoc in illud pecora nostra in milibus et innumerabilia in conpitis nostris
 
14.    Our oxen will pull heavy loads. There is no breaking in, and no going away, and no outcry in our streets.     That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.     אלופינו  מסבלים 
אין־פרץ  ואין
יוצאת  ואין  צוחה
ברחבתינו׃
    'aLVPhYNV MSBLYM 'aYN-PhUrTSh V'aYN YVTSh'aTh V'aYN TShVChH BUrChBThYNV.     Our oxen are carrying, there is no breach, And there is no outgoing, And there is no crying in our broad places.     tauri nostri pingues non est interruptio et non est egressus et non est ululatus in plateis nostris
 
15.    Happy are the people who are in such a situation. Happy are the people whose God is Yahweh. {}     Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.     אשרי  העם  שככה  לו 
אשרי  העם  שיהוה
אלהיו׃
    'aShUrY H'yM ShKKH LV 'aShUrY H'yM ShYHVH 'aLHYV.     O the happiness of the people that is thus, O the happiness of the people whose God is Jehovah!     beatus populus cuius talia sunt beatus populus cuius Dominus Deus suus
