1.    {A Psalm. A Song for the Dedication of the Temple. By David.} I will extol you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.     I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.     מזמור  שיר־חנכת

2.    Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me.     O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.     ארוממך  יהוה  כי 
דליתני  ולא־שמחת
איבי  לי׃
    'aUrVMMK YHVH KY DLYThNY VL'a-ShMChTh 'aYBY LY.     I exalt Thee, O Jehovah, For Thou hast drawn me up, and hast not let mine enemies rejoice over me.     exaltabo te Domine quoniam salvasti me et non delectasti inimicos meos super me
 
3.    Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol{Sheol is the place of the dead.}. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.     O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.     יהוה  אלהי  שועתי 
אליך  ותרפאני׃
    YHVH 'aLHY ShV'yThY 'aLYK VThUrPh'aNY.     Jehovah my God, I have cried to Thee, And Thou dost heal me.     Domine Deus meus clamavi ad te et sanasti me
 
4.    Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy name.     Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.     יהוה  העלית

חייתני
מיורדי־בור׃
    YHVH H'yLYTh MN-Sh'aVL NPhShY ChYYThNY MYVUrDY-BVUr.     Jehovah, Thou hast brought up from Sheol my soul, Thou hast kept me alive, From going down to the pit.     Domine eduxisti de inferno animam meam vivificasti me ne descenderem in lacum
 
5.    For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.     For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.     זמרו  ליהוה  חסידיו 
והודו  לזכר  קדשו׃
    ZMUrV LYHVH ChSYDYV VHVDV LZKUr QDShV.     Sing praise to Jehovah, ye His saints, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness,     cantate Domino sancti eius et confitemini memoriae sanctitatis eius
 
6.    As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I shall never be moved."     And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.     כי  רגע  באפו  חיים 
ברצונו  בערב  ילין
בכי  ולבקר  רנה׃
    KY UrG'y B'aPhV ChYYM BUrTShVNV B'yUrB YLYN BKY VLBQUr UrNH.     For -- a moment is in His anger, Life is in His good-will, At even remaineth weeping, and at morn singing.     quoniam ad momentum est ira eius et vita in repropitiatione eius ad vesperum commorabitur fletus et in matutino laus
 
7.    You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled.     LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.     ואני  אמרתי  בשלוי 
בל־אמוט  לעולם׃
    V'aNY 'aMUrThY BShLVY BL-'aMVT L'yVLM.     And I -- I have said in mine ease, `I am not moved -- to the age.     ego autem dixi in abundantia mea non commovebor in sempiternum
 
8.    I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made supplication:     I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.     יהוה  ברצונך 
העמדתה  להררי  עז
הסתרת  פניך  הייתי
נבהל׃
    YHVH BUrTShVNK H'yMDThH LHUrUrY 'yZ HSThUrTh PhNYK HYYThY NBHL.     O Jehovah, in Thy good pleasure, Thou hast caused strength to remain for my mountain,` Thou hast hidden Thy face -- I have been troubled.     Domine in voluntate tua posuisti monti meo fortitudinem abscondisti faciem tuam et factus sum conturbatus
 
9.    "What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth?     What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?     אליך  יהוה  אקרא 
ואל־אדני  אתחנן׃
    'aLYK YHVH 'aQUr'a V'aL-'aDNY 'aThChNN.     Unto Thee, O Jehovah, I call, And unto Jehovah I make supplication.     ad Dominum clamabo et Dominum deprecabor
 
10.    Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper."     Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.     מה־בצע  בדמי  ברדתי 
אל־שחת  היודך  עפר
היגיד  אמתך׃
    MH-BTSh'y BDMY BUrDThY 'aL-ShChTh HYVDK 'yPhUr HYGYD 'aMThK.     `What gain is in my blood? In my going down unto corruption? Doth dust thank Thee? doth it declare Thy truth?     quae est utilitas in sanguine meo cum descendero in corruptionem numquid confitebitur tibi pulvis aut adnuntiabit veritatem tuam
 
11.    You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,     Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;     שמע־יהוה  וחנני 
יהוה  היה־עזר  לי׃
    ShM'y-YHVH VChNNY YHVH HYH-'yZUr LY.     Hear, O Jehovah, and favour me, O Jehovah, be a helper to me.`     audi Domine et miserere mei Domine esto adiutor
 
12.    To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!     To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.     הפכת  מספדי  למחול

ותאזרני  שמחה׃
