1.    {A Psalm by Asaph.} God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods.     God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.     מזמור  לאסף  אלהים 
נצב  בעדת־אל  בקרב
אלהים  ישפט׃
    MZMVUr L'aSPh 'aLHYM NTShB B'yDTh-'aL BQUrB 'aLHYM YShPhT.     -- A Psalm of Asaph.
God hath stood in the company of God, In the midst God doth judge.
    canticum Asaph Deus stetit in coetu Dei in medio Deus iudicat
 
2.    "How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?" Selah.     How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.     עד־מתי  תשפטו־עול 
ופני  רשעים
תשאו־סלה׃
    'yD-MThY ThShPhTV-'yVL VPhNY UrSh'yYM ThSh'aV-SLH.     Till when do ye judge perversely? And the face of the wicked lift up? Selah.     usquequo iudicatis iniquitatem et facies impiorum suscipitis semper
 
3.    "Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.     Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.     שפטו־דל  ויתום  עני 
ורש  הצדיקו׃
    ShPhTV-DL VYThVM 'yNY VUrSh HTShDYQV.     Judge ye the weak and fatherless, The afflicted and the poor declare righteous.     iudicate pauperi et pupillo egeno et inopi iuste facite
 
4.    Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked."     Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.     פלטו־דל  ואביון 
מיד  רשעים  הצילו׃
    PhLTV-DL V'aBYVN MYD UrSh'yYM HTShYLV.     Let the weak and needy escape, From the hand of the wicked deliver them.     salvate inopem et pauperem de manu impiorum liberate
 
5.    They don't know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.     They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.     לא  ידעו  ולא  יבינו 
בחשכה  יתהלכו
ימוטו  כל־מוסדי
ארץ׃
    L'a YD'yV VL'a YBYNV BChShKH YThHLKV YMVTV KL-MVSDY 'aUrTSh.     They knew not, nor do they understand, In darkness they walk habitually, Moved are all the foundations of earth.     non cognoscunt nec intellegunt in tenebris ambulant movebuntur omnia fundamenta terrae
 
6.    I said, "You are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High.     I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.     אני־אמרתי  אלהים 
אתם  ובני  עליון
כלכם׃
    'aNY-'aMUrThY 'aLHYM 'aThM VBNY 'yLYVN KLKM.     I -- I have said, `Gods ye are, And sons of the Most High -- all of you,     ego dixi dii estis et filii Excelsi omnes vos
 
7.    Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers."     But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.     אכן  כאדם  תמותון 
וכאחד  השרים  תפלו׃
    'aKN K'aDM ThMVThVN VK'aChD HShUrYM ThPhLV.     But as man ye die, and as one of the heads ye fall,     ergo quasi Adam moriemini et quasi unus de principibus cadetis
 
8.    Arise, God, judge the earth, for you inherit all of the nations.     Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.     קומה  אלהים  שפטה 
הארץ  כי־אתה  תנחל
בכל־הגוים׃
    QVMH 'aLHYM ShPhTH H'aUrTSh KY-'aThH ThNChL BKL-HGVYM.     Rise, O God, judge the earth, For Thou hast inheritance among all the nations!     surge Domine iudica terram quoniam hereditabis omnes gentes
