2.    Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.     Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.     לא־יועילו  אוצרות 
רשע  וצדקה  תציל
ממות׃
    L'a-YV'yYLV 'aVTShUrVTh UrSh'y VTShDQH ThTShYL MMVTh.     Treasures of wickedness profit not, And righteousness delivereth from death.     non proderunt thesauri impietatis iustitia vero liberabit a morte
 
3.    Yahweh will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry, but he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.     The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.     לא־ירעיב  יהוה  נפש 
צדיק  והות  רשעים
יהדף׃
    L'a-YUr'yYB YHVH NPhSh TShDYQ VHVTh UrSh'yYM YHDPh.     Jehovah causeth not the soul of the righteous to hunger, And the desire of the wicked He thrusteth away.     non adfliget Dominus fame animam iusti et insidias impiorum subvertet
 
4.    He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth.     He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.     ראש  עשה  כף־רמיה 
ויד  חרוצים  תעשיר׃
    Ur'aSh 'yShH KPh-UrMYH VYD ChUrVTShYM Th'yShYUr.     Poor is he who is working -- a slothful hand, And the hand of the diligent maketh rich.     egestatem operata est manus remissa manus autem fortium divitias parat
 
5.    He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.     He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.     אגר  בקיץ  בן  משכיל 
נרדם  בקציר  בן
מביש׃
    'aGUr BQYTSh BN MShKYL NUrDM BQTShYUr BN MBYSh.     Whoso is gathering in summer is a wise son, Whoso is sleeping in harvest is a son causing shame.     qui congregat in messe filius sapiens est qui autem stertit aestate filius confusionis
 
6.    Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.     Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.     ברכות  לראש  צדיק 
ופי  רשעים  יכסה

    BUrKVTh LUr'aSh TShDYQ VPhY UrSh'yYM YKSH ChMS.     Blessings are for the head of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.     benedictio super caput iusti os autem impiorum operit iniquitatem
 
7.    The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.     The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.     זכר  צדיק  לברכה 
ושם  רשעים  ירקב׃
    ZKUr TShDYQ LBUrKH VShM UrSh'yYM YUrQB.     The remembrance of the righteous is for a blessing, And the name of the wicked doth rot.     memoria iusti cum laudibus et nomen impiorum putrescet
 
8.    The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall.     The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.     חכם־לב  יקח  מצות 
ואויל  שפתים  ילבט׃
    ChKM-LB YQCh MTShVTh V'aVYL ShPhThYM YLBT.     The wise in heart accepteth commands, And a talkative fool kicketh.     sapiens corde praecepta suscipiet stultus caeditur labiis
 
9.    He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.     He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.     הולך  בתם  ילך  בטח 
ומעקש  דרכיו  יודע׃
    HVLK BThM YLK BTCh VM'yQSh DUrKYV YVD'y.     Whoso is walking in integrity walketh confidently, And whoso is perverting his ways is known.     qui ambulat simpliciter ambulat confidenter qui autem depravat vias suas manifestus erit
 
10.    One winking with the eye causes sorrow, but a chattering fool will fall.     He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.     קרץ  עין  יתן  עצבת 
ואויל  שפתים  ילבט׃
    QUrTSh 'yYN YThN 'yTShBTh V'aVYL ShPhThYM YLBT.     Whoso is winking the eye giveth grief, And a talkative fool kicketh.     qui annuit oculo dabit dolorem stultus labiis verberabitur
 
11.    The mouth of the righteous is a spring of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.     The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.     מקור  חיים  פי  צדיק 
ופי  רשעים  יכסה

    MQVUr ChYYM PhY TShDYQ VPhY UrSh'yYM YKSH ChMS.     A fountain of life is the mouth of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.     vena vitae os iusti et os impiorum operiet iniquitatem
 
12.    Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.     Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.     שנאה  תעורר  מדנים 
ועל  כל־פשעים  תכסה
אהבה׃
    ShN'aH Th'yVUrUr MDNYM V'yL KL-PhSh'yYM ThKSH 'aHBH.     Hatred awaketh contentions, And over all transgressions love covereth.     odium suscitat rixas et universa delicta operit caritas
 
13.    Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has discernment, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.     In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.     בשפתי  נבון  תמצא 
חכמה  ושבט  לגו
חסר־לב׃
    BShPhThY NBVN ThMTSh'a ChKMH VShBT LGV ChSUr-LB.     In the lips of the intelligent is wisdom found, And a rod is for the back of him who is lacking understanding.     in labiis sapientis invenietur sapientia et virga in dorso eius qui indiget corde
 
14.    Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near ruin.     Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.     חכמים  יצפנו־דעת 
ופי־אויל  מחתה
קרבה׃
    ChKMYM YTShPhNV-D'yTh VPhY-'aVYL MChThH QUrBH.     The wise lay up knowledge, and the mouth of a fool is near ruin.     sapientes abscondunt scientiam os autem stulti confusioni proximum est
 
15.    The rich man's wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty.     The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.     הון  עשיר  קרית  עזו

    HVN 'yShYUr QUrYTh 'yZV MChThTh DLYM UrYShM.     The wealth of the rich is his strong city, The ruin of the poor is their poverty.     substantia divitis urbs fortitudinis eius pavor pauperum egestas eorum
 
16.    The labor of the righteous leads to life. The increase of the wicked leads to sin.     The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.     פעלת  צדיק  לחיים 
תבואת  רשע  לחטאת׃
    Ph'yLTh TShDYQ LChYYM ThBV'aTh UrSh'y LChT'aTh.     The wage of the righteous is for life, The increase of the wicked for sin.     opus iusti ad vitam fructus impii ad peccatum
 
17.    He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.     He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.     ארח  לחיים  שומר 
מוסר  ועוזב  תוכחת
מתעה׃
    'aUrCh LChYYM ShVMUr MVSUr V'yVZB ThVKChTh MTh'yH.     A traveller to life is he who is keeping instruction, And whoso is forsaking rebuke is erring.     via vitae custodienti disciplinam qui autem increpationes relinquit errat
 
18.    He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.     He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.     מכסה  שנאה 
שפתי־שקר  ומוצא
דבה  הוא  כסיל׃
    MKSH ShN'aH ShPhThY-ShQUr VMVTSh'a DBH HV'a KSYL.     Whoso is covering hatred with lying lips, And whoso is bringing out an evil report is a fool.     abscondunt odium labia mendacia qui profert contumeliam insipiens est
 
19.    In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.     In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.     ברב  דברים  לא 
יחדל־פשע  וחשך
שפתיו  משכיל׃
    BUrB DBUrYM L'a YChDL-PhSh'y VChShK ShPhThYV MShKYL.     In the abundance of words transgression ceaseth not, And whoso is restraining his lips is wise.     in multiloquio peccatum non deerit qui autem moderatur labia sua prudentissimus est
 
20.    The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth.     The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.     כסף  נבחר  לשון 
צדיק  לב  רשעים
כמעט׃
    KSPh NBChUr LShVN TShDYQ LB UrSh'yYM KM'yT.     The tongue of the righteous is chosen silver, The heart of the wicked -- as a little thing.     argentum electum lingua iusti cor impiorum pro nihilo
 
21.    The lips of the righteous feed many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding.     The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.     שפתי  צדיק  ירעו 
רבים  ואוילים
בחסר־לב  ימותו׃
    ShPhThY TShDYQ YUr'yV UrBYM V'aVYLYM BChSUr-LB YMVThV.     The lips of the righteous delight many, And fools for lack of heart die.     labia iusti erudiunt plurimos qui autem indocti sunt in cordis egestate morientur
 
22.    Yahweh's blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.     The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.     ברכת  יהוה  היא 
תעשיר  ולא־יוסף
עצב  עמה׃
    BUrKTh YHVH HY'a Th'yShYUr VL'a-YVSPh 'yTShB 'yMH.     The blessing of Jehovah -- it maketh rich, And He addeth no grief with it.     benedictio Domini divites facit nec sociabitur ei adflictio
 
23.    It is a fool's pleasure to do wickedness, but wisdom is a man of understanding's pleasure.     It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.     כשחוק  לכסיל  עשות 
זמה  וחכמה  לאיש
תבונה׃
    KShChVQ LKSYL 'yShVTh ZMH VChKMH L'aYSh ThBVNH.     To execute inventions is as play to a fool, And wisdom to a man of understanding.     quasi per risum stultus operatur scelus sapientia autem est viro prudentia
 
24.    What the wicked fear, will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.     The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.     מגורת  רשע  היא 
תבואנו  ותאות
צדיקים  יתן׃
    MGVUrTh UrSh'y HY'a ThBV'aNV VTh'aVTh TShDYQYM YThN.     The feared thing of the wicked it meeteth him, And the desire of the righteous is given.     quod timet impius veniet super eum desiderium suum iustis dabitur
 
25.    When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever.     As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.     כעבור  סופה  ואין 
רשע  וצדיק  יסוד
עולם׃
    K'yBVUr SVPhH V'aYN UrSh'y VTShDYQ YSVD 'yVLM.     As the passing by of a hurricane, So the wicked is not, And the righteous is a foundation age-during.     quasi tempestas transiens non erit impius iustus autem quasi fundamentum sempiternum
 
26.    As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.     As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.     כחמץ  לשנים  וכעשן 
לעינים  כן  העצל
לשלחיו׃
    KChMTSh LShNYM VK'yShN L'yYNYM KN H'yTShL LShLChYV.     As vinegar to the teeth, And as smoke to the eyes, So is the slothful to those sending him.     sicut acetum dentibus et fumus oculis sic piger his qui miserunt eum
 
27.    The fear of Yahweh prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.     The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.     יראת  יהוה  תוסיף 
ימים  ושנות  רשעים
תקצרנה׃
    YUr'aTh YHVH ThVSYPh YMYM VShNVTh UrSh'yYM ThQTShUrNH.     The fear of Jehovah addeth days, And the years of the wicked are shortened.     timor Domini adponet dies et anni impiorum breviabuntur
 
28.    The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.     The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.     תוחלת  צדיקים  שמחה 
ותקות  רשעים  תאבד׃
    ThVChLTh TShDYQYM ShMChH VThQVTh UrSh'yYM Th'aBD.     The hope of the righteous is joyful, And the expectation of the wicked perisheth.     expectatio iustorum laetitia spes autem impiorum peribit
 
29.    The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.     The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.     מעוז  לתם  דרך  יהוה 
ומחתה  לפעלי  און׃
    M'yVZ LThM DUrK YHVH VMChThH LPh'yLY 'aVN.     The way of Jehovah is strength to the perfect, And ruin to workers of iniquity.     fortitudo simplicis via Domini et pavor his qui operantur malum
 
30.    The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land.     The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.     צדיק  לעולם 
בל־ימוט  ורשעים  לא
ישכנו־ארץ׃
    TShDYQ L'yVLM BL-YMVT VUrSh'yYM L'a YShKNV-'aUrTSh.     The righteous to the age is not moved, And the wicked inhabit not the earth.     iustus in aeternum non commovebitur impii autem non habitabunt in terram
 
31.    The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.     The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.     פי־צדיק  ינוב  חכמה 
ולשון  תהפכות
תכרת׃
    PhY-TShDYQ YNVB ChKMH VLShVN ThHPhKVTh ThKUrTh.     The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, And the tongue of frowardness is cut out.     os iusti parturiet sapientiam lingua pravorum peribit
 
32.    The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.     The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.     שפתי  צדיק  ידעון
