1.    Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.     Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:     חכמות  בנתה  ביתה 
חצבה  עמודיה  שבעה׃
    ChKMVTh BNThH BYThH ChTShBH 'yMVDYH ShB'yH.     Wisdom hath builded her house, She hath hewn out her pillars -- seven.     sapientia aedificavit sibi domum excidit columnas septem
 
2.    She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.     She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.     טבחה  טבחה  מסכה 
יינה  אף  ערכה
שלחנה׃
    TBChH TBChH MSKH YYNH 'aPh 'yUrKH ShLChNH.     She hath slaughtered her slaughter, She hath mingled her wine, Yea, she hath arranged her table.     immolavit victimas suas miscuit vinum et proposuit mensam suam
 
3.    She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:     She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,     שלחה  נערתיה  תקרא 
על־גפי  מרמי  קרת׃
    ShLChH N'yUrThYH ThQUr'a 'yL-GPhY MUrMY QUrTh.     She hath sent forth her damsels, She crieth on the tops of the high places of the city:     misit ancillas suas ut vocarent ad arcem et ad moenia civitatis
 
4.    "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!" As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,     Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,     מי־פתי  יסר  הנה 
חסר־לב  אמרה  לו׃
    MY-PhThY YSUr HNH ChSUr-LB 'aMUrH LV.     `Who is simple? let him turn aside hither.` Whoso lacketh heart: she hath said to him,     si quis est parvulus veniat ad me et insipientibus locuta est
 
5.    "Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!     Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.     לכו  לחמו  בלחמי 
ושתו  ביין  מסכתי׃
    LKV LChMV BLChMY VShThV BYYN MSKThY.     `Come, eat of my bread, And drink of the wine I have mingled.     venite comedite panem meum et bibite vinum quod miscui vobis
 
6.    Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding."     Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.     עזבו  פתאים  וחיו 
ואשרו  בדרך  בינה׃
    'yZBV PhTh'aYM VChYV V'aShUrV BDUrK BYNH.     Forsake ye, the simple, and live, And be happy in the way of understanding.     relinquite infantiam et vivite et ambulate per vias prudentiae
 
7.    He who corrects a mocker invites insult. He who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.     He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.     יסר  לץ  לקח  לו 
קלון  ומוכיח  לרשע
מומו׃
    YSUr LTSh LQCh LV QLVN VMVKYCh LUrSh'y MVMV.     The instructor of a scorner Is receiving for it -- shame, And a reprover of the wicked -- his blemish.     qui erudit derisorem ipse sibi facit iniuriam et qui arguit impium generat maculam sibi
 
8.    Don't reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise man, and he will love you.     Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.     אל־תוכח  לץ 
פן־ישנאך  הוכח
לחכם  ויאהבך׃
    'aL-ThVKCh LTSh PhN-YShN'aK HVKCh LChKM VY'aHBK.     Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee, Give reproof to the wise, and he loveth thee.     noli arguere derisorem ne oderit te argue sapientem et diliget te
 
9.    Instruct a wise man, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.     Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.     תן  לחכם  ויחכם־עוד 
הודע  לצדיק  ויוסף
לקח׃
    ThN LChKM VYChKM-'yVD HVD'y LTShDYQ VYVSPh LQCh.     Give to the wise, and he is wiser still, Make known to the righteous, And he increaseth learning.     da sapienti et addetur ei sapientia doce iustum et festinabit accipere
 
10.    The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.     The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.     תחלת  חכמה  יראת 
יהוה  ודעת  קדשים
בינה׃
    ThChLTh ChKMH YUr'aTh YHVH VD'yTh QDShYM BYNH.     The commencement of wisdom is the fear of Jehovah, And a knowledge of the Holy Ones is understanding.     principium sapientiae timor Domini et scientia sanctorum prudentia
 
11.    For by me your days will be multiplied. The years of your life will be increased.     For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.     כי־בי  ירבו  ימיך 
ויוסיפו  לך  שנות
חיים׃
    KY-BY YUrBV YMYK VYVSYPhV LK ShNVTh ChYYM.     For by me do thy days multiply, And added to thee are years of life.     per me enim multiplicabuntur dies tui et addentur tibi anni vitae
 
12.    If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.     If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.     אם־חכמת  חכמת  לך 
ולצת  לבדך  תשא׃
    'aM-ChKMTh ChKMTh LK VLTShTh LBDK ThSh'a.     If thou hast been wise, thou hast been wise for thyself, And thou hast scorned -- thyself bearest it.     si sapiens fueris tibimet ipsi eris si inlusor solus portabis malum
 
13.    The foolish woman is loud, Undisciplined, and knows nothing.     A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.     אשת  כסילות  המיה

    'aShTh KSYLVTh HMYH PhThYVTh VBL-YD'yH MH.     A foolish woman is noisy, Simple, and hath not known what.     mulier stulta et clamosa plenaque inlecebris et nihil omnino sciens
 
14.    She sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,     For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,     וישבה  לפתח  ביתה 
על־כסא  מרמי  קרת׃
    VYShBH LPhThCh BYThH 'yL-KS'a MUrMY QUrTh.     And she hath sat at the opening of her house, On a throne -- the high places of the city,     sedit in foribus domus suae super sellam in excelso urbis loco
 
15.    To call to those who pass by, who go straight on their ways,     To call passengers who go right on their ways:     לקרא  לעברי־דרך 
המישרים  ארחותם׃
    LQUr'a L'yBUrY-DUrK HMYShUrYM 'aUrChVThM.     To call to those passing by the way, Who are going straight on their paths.     ut vocaret transeuntes viam et pergentes itinere suo
 
16.    "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here." as for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,     Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,     מי־פתי  יסר  הנה 
וחסר־לב  ואמרה  לו׃
    MY-PhThY YSUr HNH VChSUr-LB V'aMUrH LV.     `Who is simple? let him turn aside hither.` And whoso lacketh heart -- she said to him,     quis est parvulus declinet ad me et vecordi locuta est
 
17.    "Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret is pleasant."     Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.     מים־גנובים  ימתקו 
ולחם  סתרים  ינעם׃
    MYM-GNVBYM YMThQV VLChM SThUrYM YN'yM.     `Stolen waters are sweet, And hidden bread is pleasant.`     aquae furtivae dulciores sunt et panis absconditus suavior
 
18.    But he doesn't know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol{Sheol is the place of the dead.}.     But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.     ולא־ידע  כי־רפאים

קראיה׃
    VL'a-YD'y KY-UrPh'aYM ShM B'yMQY Sh'aVL QUr'aYH.     And he hath not known that Rephaim are there, In deep places of Sheol her invited ones!     et ignoravit quod gigantes ibi sint et in profundis inferni convivae eius
