1.    My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you;     My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;     בני  אם־תקח  אמרי 
ומצותי  תצפן  אתך׃
    BNY 'aM-ThQCh 'aMUrY VMTShVThY ThTShPhN 'aThK.     My son, if thou dost accept my sayings, And my commands dost lay up with thee,     fili mi si susceperis sermones meos et mandata mea absconderis penes te
 
2.    So as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;     So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;     להקשיב  לחכמה  אזנך 
תטה  לבך  לתבונה׃
    LHQShYB LChKMH 'aZNK ThTH LBK LThBVNH.     To cause thine ear to attend to wisdom, Thou inclinest thy heart to understanding,     ut audiat sapientiam auris tua inclina cor tuum ad noscendam prudentiam
 
3.    Yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;     Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;     כי  אם  לבינה  תקרא 
לתבונה  תתן  קולך׃
    KY 'aM LBYNH ThQUr'a LThBVNH ThThN QVLK.     For, if for intelligence thou callest, For understanding givest forth thy voice,     si enim sapientiam invocaveris et inclinaveris cor tuum prudentiae
 
4.    If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures:     If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;     אם־תבקשנה  ככסף 
וכמטמונים  תחפשנה׃
    'aM-ThBQShNH KKSPh VKMTMVNYM ThChPhShNH.     If thou dost seek her as silver, And as hid treasures searchest for her,     si quaesieris eam quasi pecuniam et sicut thesauros effoderis illam
 
5.    then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and find the knowledge of God{The Hebrew word rendered "God" is "Elohim."}.     Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.     אז  תבין  יראת  יהוה 
ודעת  אלהים  תמצא׃
    'aZ ThBYN YUr'aTh YHVH VD'yTh 'aLHYM ThMTSh'a.     Then understandest thou fear of Jehovah, And knowledge of God thou findest.     tunc intelleges timorem Domini et scientiam Dei invenies
 
6.    For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.     For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.     כי־יהוה  יתן  חכמה 
מפיו  דעת  ותבונה׃
    KY-YHVH YThN ChKMH MPhYV D'yTh VThBVNH.     For Jehovah giveth wisdom, From His mouth knowledge and understanding.     quia Dominus dat sapientiam et ex ore eius scientia et prudentia
 
7.    He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity;     He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.     וצפן  לישרים  תושיה 
מגן  להלכי  תם׃
    VTShPhN LYShUrYM ThVShYH MGN LHLKY ThM.     Even to lay up for the upright substance, A shield for those walking uprightly.     custodiet rectorum salutem et proteget gradientes simpliciter
 
8.    that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.     He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.     לנצר  ארחות  משפט 
ודרך  חסידו  ישמר׃
    LNTShUr 'aUrChVTh MShPhT VDUrK ChSYDV YShMUr.     To keep the paths of judgment, And the way of His saints He preserveth.     servans semitas iustitiae et vias sanctorum custodiens
 
9.    Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.     Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.     אז  תבין  צדק  ומשפט 
ומישרים
כל־מעגל־טוב׃
    'aZ ThBYN TShDQ VMShPhT VMYShUrYM KL-M'yGL-TVB.     Then understandest thou righteousness, And judgment, and uprightness -- every good path.     tunc intelleges iustitiam et iudicium et aequitatem et omnem semitam bonam
 
10.    For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.     When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;     כי־תבוא  חכמה  בלבך 
ודעת  לנפשך  ינעם׃
    KY-ThBV'a ChKMH BLBK VD'yTh LNPhShK YN'yM.     For wisdom cometh into thy heart, And knowledge to thy soul is pleasant,     si intraverit sapientia cor tuum et scientia animae tuae placuerit
 
11.    Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,     Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:     מזמה  תשמר  עליך 
תבונה  תנצרכה׃
    MZMH ThShMUr 'yLYK ThBVNH ThNTShUrKH.     Thoughtfulness doth watch over thee, Understanding doth keep thee,     consilium custodiet te prudentia servabit te
 
12.    to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things;     To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;     להצילך  מדרך  רע 
מאיש  מדבר  תהפכות׃
    LHTShYLK MDUrK Ur'y M'aYSh MDBUr ThHPhKVTh.     To deliver thee from an evil way, From any speaking froward things,     ut eruaris de via mala ab homine qui perversa loquitur
 
13.    who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;     Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;     העזבים  ארחות  ישר 
ללכת  בדרכי־חשך׃
    H'yZBYM 'aUrChVTh YShUr LLKTh BDUrKY-ChShK.     Who are forsaking paths of uprightness, To walk in ways of darkness,     qui relinquunt iter rectum et ambulant per vias tenebrosas
 
14.    who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil;     Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;     השמחים  לעשות  רע 
יגילו  בתהפכות  רע׃
    HShMChYM L'yShVTh Ur'y YGYLV BThHPhKVTh Ur'y.     Who are rejoicing to do evil, They delight in frowardness of the wicked,     qui laetantur cum malefecerint et exultant in rebus pessimis
 
15.    who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths:     Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:     אשר  ארחתיהם  עקשים 
ונלוזים  במעגלותם׃
    'aShUr 'aUrChThYHM 'yQShYM VNLVZYM BM'yGLVThM.     Whose paths are crooked, Yea, they are perverted in their ways.     quorum viae perversae et infames gressus eorum
 
16.    To deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words;     To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;     להצילך  מאשה  זרה 
מנכריה  אמריה
החליקה׃
    LHTShYLK M'aShH ZUrH MNKUrYH 'aMUrYH HChLYQH.     To deliver thee from the strange woman, From the stranger who hath made smooth her sayings,     ut eruaris a muliere aliena et ab extranea quae mollit sermones suos
 
17.    who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God:     Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.     העזבת  אלוף  נעוריה 
ואת־ברית  אלהיה
שכחה׃
    H'yZBTh 'aLVPh N'yVUrYH V'aTh-BUrYTh 'aLHYH ShKChH.     Who is forsaking the guide of her youth, And the covenant of her God hath forgotten.     et relinquit ducem pubertatis suae
 
18.    for her house leads down to death, her paths to the dead.     For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.     כי  שחה  אל־מות 
ביתה  ואל־רפאים
מעגלתיה׃
    KY ShChH 'aL-MVTh BYThH V'aL-UrPh'aYM M'yGLThYH.     For her house hath inclined unto death, And unto Rephaim her paths.     et pacti Dei sui oblita est inclinata est enim ad mortem domus eius et ad impios semitae ipsius
 
19.    None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life:     None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.     כל־באיה  לא  ישובון 
ולא־ישיגו  ארחות
חיים׃
    KL-B'aYH L'a YShVBVN VL'a-YShYGV 'aUrChVTh ChYYM.     None going in unto her turn back, Nor do they reach the paths of life.     omnes qui ingrediuntur ad eam non revertentur nec adprehendent semitas vitae
 
20.    that you may walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.     That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.     למען  תלך  בדרך 
טובים  וארחות
צדיקים  תשמר׃
    LM'yN ThLK BDUrK TVBYM V'aUrChVTh TShDYQYM ThShMUr.     That thou dost go in the way of the good, And the paths of the righteous dost keep.     ut ambules in via bona et calles iustorum custodias
 
21.    For the upright will dwell in the land. The perfect will remain in it.     For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.     כי־ישרים 
ישכנו־ארץ  ותמימים
יותרו  בה׃
    KY-YShUrYM YShKNV-'aUrTSh VThMYMYM YVThUrV BH.     For the upright do inhabit the earth, And the perfect are left in it,     qui enim recti sunt habitabunt in terra et simplices permanebunt in ea
 
22.    But the wicked will be cut off from the land. The treacherous will be rooted out of it.     But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.     ורשעים  מארץ  יכרתו 
ובוגדים  יסחו
ממנה׃
    VUrSh'yYM M'aUrTSh YKUrThV VBVGDYM YSChV MMNH.     And the wicked from the earth are cut off, And treacherous dealers plucked out of it!     impii vero de terra perdentur et qui inique agunt auferentur ex ea
