VYShM'y PhShChVUr BN-'aMUr HKHN VHV'a-PhQYD NGYD BBYTh YHVH 'aTh-YUrMYHV NB'a 'aTh-HDBUrYM H'aLH. | And Pashhur son of Immer the priest -- who also is overseer, leader in the house of Jehovah -- heareth Jeremiah prophesying these things, | et audivit Phassur filius Emmer sacerdos qui constitutus erat princeps in domo Domini Hieremiam prophetantem sermones istos | |||||
| 2. | Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in the house of Yahweh. | Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD. |
ויכה פשחור את ירמיהו הנביא ויתן אתו על־המהפכת אשר בשער בנימן העליון אשר בבית יהוה׃ |

Then said Jeremiah to him, Yahweh has not called your name Pashhur, but Magormissabib. | And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks.
