| 10. | and I will multiply men on you, all the house of Israel, even all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited, and the waste places shall be built; | And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: |
והרביתי עליכם אדם כל־בית ישראל כלה ונשבו הערים והחרבות תבנינה׃ |
VHUrBYThY 'yLYKM 'aDM KL-BYTh YShUr'aL KLH VNShBV H'yUrYM VHChUrBVTh ThBNYNH. | And I have multiplied on you men, All the house of Israel -- all of it, And the cities have been inhabited, And the wastes are built. | et multiplicabo in vobis homines omnemque domum Israhel et habitabuntur civitates et ruinosa instaurabuntur | |||||
| 11. | and I will multiply on you man and animal; and they shall increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited after your former estate, and will do better [to you] than at your beginnings: and you shall know that I am Yahweh. | And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. |

והולכתי עליכם אדם את־עמי ישראל וירשוך והיית להם לנחלה ולא־ תוסף עוד לשכלם׃ |
VHVLKThY 'yLYKM 'aDM 'aTh-'yMY YShUr'aL VYUrShVK VHYYTh LHM LNChLH VL'a- ThVSPh 'yVD LShKLM. | And I have caused man to walk over you, -- My people Israel, And they possess thee, and thou hast been to them for an inheritance, And thou dost add no more to bereave them. | et adducam super vos homines populum meum Israhel et hereditate possidebunt te et eris eis in hereditatem et non addes ultra ut absque eis sis | |||||

KH 'aMUr 'aDNY YHVH Y'yN 'aMUrYM LKM 'aKLTh 'aDM 'aThY VMShKLTh GVYK HYYTh. | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because they are saying to you: A devourer of men art thou, And a bereaver of thy nations thou hast been, | haec dicit Dominus Deus pro eo quod dicunt de vobis devoratrix hominum es et suffocans gentem tuam | |||||
| 14. | therefore you shall devour men no more, neither bereave your nation any more, says the Lord Yahweh; | Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD. |

LKN 'aDM L'a-Th'aKLY 'yVD VGVYK L'a ThKShLY-'yVD N'aM 'aDNY YHVH. | Therefore, man thou devourest no more, And thy nations thou causest not to stumble any more, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah. | propterea homines non comedes amplius et gentem tuam non necabis ultra ait Dominus Deus | |||||
| 15. | neither will I let you hear any more the shame of the nations, neither shall you bear the reproach of the peoples any more, neither shall you cause your nation to stumble any more, says the Lord Yahweh. | Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord GOD. |
ולא־אשמיע אליך עוד כלמת הגוים וחרפת עמים לא תשאי־עוד וגויך לא־תכשלי עוד נאם אדני יהוה׃ |
VL'a-'aShMY'y 'aLYK 'yVD KLMTh HGVYM VChUrPhTh 'yMYM L'a ThSh'aY-'yVD VGVYK L'a-ThKShLY 'yVD N'aM 'aDNY YHVH. | And I proclaim not unto thee any more the shame of the nations, And the reproach of peoples thou bearest no more, And thy nations stumble not any more, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.` | nec auditam faciam in te amplius confusionem gentium et obprobrium populorum nequaquam portabis et gentem tuam non amittes amplius ait Dominus Deus | |||||

| 17. | Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their way and by their doings: their way before me was as the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity. | Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman. |
בן־אדם בית ישראל ישבים על־אדמתם ויטמאו אותה בדרכם ובעלילותם כטמאת הנדה היתה דרכם לפני׃ |
BN-'aDM BYTh YShUr'aL YShBYM 'yL-'aDMThM VYTM'aV 'aVThH BDUrKM VB'yLYLVThM KTM'aTh HNDH HYThH DUrKM LPhNY. | `Son of man, The house of Israel are dwelling on their land, And they defile it by their way and by their doings, As the uncleanness of a separated one hath their way been before Me. | fili hominis domus Israhel habitaverunt in humo sua et polluerunt eam in viis suis et in studiis suis iuxta inmunditiam menstruatae facta est via eorum coram me | |||||

V'aShPhK ChMThY 'yLYHM 'yL-HDM 'aShUr-ShPhKV 'yL-H'aUrTSh VBGLVLYHM TM'aVH. | And I do pour out My fury upon them For the blood that they shed on the land, And with their idols they have defiled it. | et effudi indignationem meam super eos pro sanguine quem fuderunt super terram et in idolis suis polluerunt eam | |||||

ואפיץ אתם בגוים ויזרו בארצות כדרכם וכעלילותם שפטתים׃ |
V'aPhYTSh 'aThM BGVYM VYZUrV B'aUrTShVTh KDUrKM VK'yLYLVThM ShPhTThYM. | And I scatter them among nations, And they are spread through lands, According to their way, and according to their doings, I have judged them. | et dispersi eos in gentes et ventilati sunt in terris iuxta vias eorum et adinventiones iudicavi eos | |||||
| 20. | When they came to the nations, where they went, they profaned my holy name; in that men said of them, These are the people of Yahweh, and are gone forth out of his land. | And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land. |

VYBV'a 'aL-HGVYM 'aShUr-B'aV ShM VYChLLV 'aTh-ShM QDShY B'aMUr LHM 'yM-YHVH 'aLH VM'aUrTShV YTSh'aV. | And one goeth in unto the nations whither they have gone, And they pollute My holy name by saying to them, The people of Jehovah are these, And from His land they have gone forth. | et ingressi sunt ad gentes ad quas introierunt et polluerunt nomen sanctum meum cum diceretur de eis populus Domini iste est et de terra eius egressi sunt | |||||
| 21. | But I had respect for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations, where they went. | But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. |
ואחמל על־שם קדשי אשר חללוהו בית ישראל בגוים אשר־באו שמה׃ |
V'aChML 'yL-ShM QDShY 'aShUr ChLLVHV BYTh YShUr'aL BGVYM 'aShUr-B'aV ShMH. | And I have pity on My holy name, That the house of Israel have polluted among nations whither they have gone in. | et peperci nomini meo sancto quod polluerat domus Israhel in gentibus ad quas ingressi sunt | |||||
| 22. | Therefore tell the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I don't do [this] for your sake, house of Israel, but for my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations, where you went. | Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. |

VQDShThY 'aTh-ShMY HGDVL HMChLL BGVYM 'aShUr ChLLThM BThVKM VYD'yV HGVYM KY-'aNY YHVH N'aM 'aDNY YHVH BHQDShY BKM L'yYNYHM. | And I have sanctified My great name, That is profaned among nations, That ye have polluted in your midst, And known have the nations that I am Jehovah, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, In My being sanctified in you before your eyes. | et sanctificabo nomen meum magnum quod pollutum est inter gentes quod polluistis in medio earum ut sciant gentes quia ego Dominus ait Dominus exercituum cum sanctificatus fuero in vobis coram eis | |||||

VYShBThM B'aUrTSh 'aShUr NThThY L'aBThYKM VHYYThM LY L'yM V'aNKY 'aHYH LKM L'aLHYM. | And ye have dwelt in the land that I have given to your fathers, And ye have been to Me for a people, And I -- I am to you for God. | et habitabitis in terra quam dedi patribus vestris et eritis mihi in populum et ego ero vobis in Deum | |||||

VHVSh'yThY 'aThKM MKL TM'aVThYKM VQUr'aThY 'aL-HDGN VHUrBYThY 'aThV VL'a-'aThN 'yLYKM Ur'yB. | And I have saved you from all your uncleannesses, And I have called unto the corn, and multiplied it, And I have put no famine upon you. | et salvabo vos ex universis inquinamentis vestris et vocabo frumentum et multiplicabo illud et non inponam in vobis famem | |||||

VHUrBYThY 'aTh-PhUrY H'yTSh VThNVBTh HShDH LM'yN 'aShUr L'a ThQChV 'yVD ChUrPhTh Ur'yB BGVYM. | And I have multiplied the fruit of the tree, And the increase of the field, So that ye receive not any more a reproach of famine among nations. | et multiplicabo fructum ligni et genimina agri ut non portetis ultra obprobrium famis in gentibus | |||||

VZKUrThM 'aTh-DUrKYKM HUr'yYM VM'yLLYKM 'aShUr L'a-TVBYM VNQTThM BPhNYKM 'yL 'yVNThYKM V'yL ThV'yBVThYKM. | And ye have remembered your ways that are evil, And your doings that are not good, And have been loathsome in your own faces, For your iniquities, and for your abominations. | et recordabimini viarum vestrarum pessimarum studiorumque non bonorum et displicebunt vobis iniquitates vestrae et scelera vestra | |||||
| 32. | Nor for your sake do I [this], says the Lord Yahweh, be it known to you: be ashamed and confounded for your ways, house of Israel. | Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel. |

| 33. | Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places shall be built. | Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. |

ואמרו הארץ הלזו הנשמה היתה כגן־עדן והערים החרבות והנשמות והנהרסות בצורות ישבו׃ |
V'aMUrV H'aUrTSh HLZV HNShMH HYThH KGN-'yDN VH'yUrYM HChUrBVTh VHNShMVTh VHNHUrSVTh BTShVUrVTh YShBV. | And they have said: This land, that was desolated, Hath been as the garden of Eden, And the cities -- the wasted, And the desolated, and the broken down, Fenced places have remained. | dicent terra illa inculta facta est ut hortus voluptatis et civitates desertae et destitutae atque suffossae munitae sederunt | |||||
| 36. | Then the nations that are left around you shall know that I, Yahweh, have built the ruined places, and planted that which was desolate: I, Yahweh, have spoken it, and I will do it. | Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it. |
וידעו הגוים אשר ישארו סביבותיכם כי אני יהוה בניתי הנהרסות נטעתי הנשמה אני יהוה דברתי ועשיתי׃ |
VYD'yV HGVYM 'aShUr YSh'aUrV SBYBVThYKM KY 'aNY YHVH BNYThY HNHUrSVTh NT'yThY HNShMH 'aNY YHVH DBUrThY V'yShYThY. | And known have the nations who are left round about you, That I Jehovah have built the thrown down, I have planted the desolated: I Jehovah have spoken, and I have done it. | et scient gentes quaecumque derelictae fuerint in circuitu vestro quia ego Dominus aedificavi dissipata plantavique inculta ego Dominus locutus sum et fecerim | |||||

| 38. | As the flock for sacrifice, as the flock of Jerusalem in her appointed feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men; and they shall know that I am Yahweh. | As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
