VYDBUr YHVH 'aL-MShH V'aL-'aHUrN L'aMUr. | And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying, | locutus est Dominus ad Mosen et Aaron dicens | |||||
| 2. | "When a man shall have a rising in his body's skin, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes in the skin of his body the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons, the priests: | When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests: |
אדם כי־יהיה בעור־בשרו שאת או־ספחת או בהרת והיה בעור־בשרו לנגע צרעת והובא אל־אהרן הכהן או אל־אחד מבניו הכהנים׃ |
'aDM KY-YHYH B'yVUr-BShUrV Sh'aTh 'aV-SPhChTh 'aV BHUrTh VHYH B'yVUr-BShUrV LNG'y TShUr'yTh VHVB'a 'aL-'aHUrN HKHN 'aV 'aL-'aChD MBNYV HKHNYM. | `When a man hath in the skin of his flesh a rising, or scab, or bright spot, and it hath become in the skin of his flesh a leprous plague, then he hath been brought in unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests; | homo in cuius carne et cute ortus fuerit diversus color sive pustula aut quasi lucens quippiam id est plaga leprae adducetur ad Aaron sacerdotem vel ad unum quemlibet filiorum eius | |||||
| 3. | and the priest shall examine the plague in the skin of the body: and if the hair in the plague has turned white, and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the body's skin, it is the plague of leprosy; and the priest shall examine him, and pronounce him unclean. | And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean. |

| 4. | If the bright spot is white in the skin of his body, and its appearance isn't deeper than the skin, and its hair hasn't turned white, then the priest shall isolate the infected person for seven days. | If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days: |
ואם־בהרת לבנה הוא בעור בשרו ועמק אין־מראה מן־העור ושערה לא־ הפך לבן והסגיר הכהן את־הנגע שבעת ימים׃ |

| 5. | The priest shall examine him on the seventh day, and, behold, if in his eyes the plague is arrested, and the plague hasn't spread in the skin, then the priest shall isolate him for seven more days. | And the priest shall look on him the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight be at a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more: |
וראהו הכהן ביום השביעי והנה הנגע עמד בעיניו לא־פשה הנגע בעור והסגירו הכהן שבעת ימים שנית׃ |
VUr'aHV HKHN BYVM HShBY'yY VHNH HNG'y 'yMD B'yYNYV L'a-PhShH HNG'y B'yVUr VHSGYUrV HKHN ShB'yTh YMYM ShNYTh. | `And the priest hath seen him on the seventh day, and lo, the plague hath stood in his eyes, the plague hath not spread in the skin, and the priest hath shut him up a second seven days. | et considerabit die septimo et siquidem lepra ultra non creverit nec transierit in cute priores terminos rursum includet eum septem diebus aliis | |||||
| 6. | The priest shall examine him again on the seventh day; and behold, if the plague has faded, and the plague hasn't spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. It is a scab. He shall wash his clothes, and be clean. | And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean: it is but a scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean. |
וראה הכהן אתו ביום השביעי שנית והנה כהה הנגע ולא־פשה הנגע בעור וטהרו הכהן מספחת הוא וכבס בגדיו וטהר׃ |
VUr'aH HKHN 'aThV BYVM HShBY'yY ShNYTh VHNH KHH HNG'y VL'a-PhShH HNG'y B'yVUr VTHUrV HKHN MSPhChTh HV'a VKBS BGDYV VTHUr. | `And the priest hath seen him on the second seventh day, and lo, the plague is become weak, and the plague hath not spread in the skin -- and the priest hath pronounced him clean, it is a scab, and he hath washed his garments, and hath been clean. | et die septimo contemplabitur si obscurior fuerit lepra et non creverit in cute mundabit eum quia scabies est lavabitque homo vestimenta sua et mundus erit | |||||
| 7. | But if the scab spreads on the skin, after he has shown himself to the priest for his cleansing, he shall show himself to the priest again. | But if the scab spread much abroad in the skin, after that he hath been seen of the priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen of the priest again: |
ואם־פשה תפשה המספחת בעור אחרי הראתו אל־הכהן לטהרתו ונראה שנית אל־הכהן׃ |
V'aM-PhShH ThPhShH HMSPhChTh B'yVUr 'aChUrY HUr'aThV 'aL-HKHN LTHUrThV VNUr'aH ShNYTh 'aL-HKHN. | `And if the scab spread greatly in the skin, after his being seen by the priest for his cleansing, then he hath been seen a second time by the priest; | quod si postquam a sacerdote visus est et redditus munditiae iterum lepra creverit adducetur ad eum | |||||
| 8. | The priest shall examine him; and behold, if the scab has spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is leprosy. | And if the priest see that, behold, the scab spreadeth in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a leprosy. |

| 10. | and the priest shall examine him. Behold, if there is a white rising in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the rising, | And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising; |
וראה הכהן והנה שאת־לבנה בעור והיא הפכה שער לבן ומחית בשר חי בשאת׃ |
VUr'aH HKHN VHNH Sh'aTh-LBNH B'yVUr VHY'a HPhKH Sh'yUr LBN VMChYTh BShUr ChY BSh'aTh. | and the priest hath seen, and lo, a white rising in the skin, and it hath turned the hair white, and a quickening of raw flesh is in the rising, -- | et videbit eum cumque color albus in cute fuerit et capillorum mutarit aspectum ipsa quoque caro viva apparuerit | |||||
| 11. | it is a chronic leprosy in the skin of his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. He shall not isolate him, for he is unclean. | It is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up: for he is unclean. |

| 12. | "If the leprosy breaks out all over the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the infected person from his head even to his feet, as far as it appears to the priest; | And if a leprosy break out abroad in the skin, and the leprosy cover all the skin of him that hath the plague from his head even to his foot, wheresoever the priest looketh; |
ואם־פרוח תפרח הצרעת בעור וכסתה הצרעת את כל־עור הנגע מראשו ועד־רגליו לכל־מראה עיני הכהן׃ |
V'aM-PhUrVCh ThPhUrCh HTShUr'yTh B'yVUr VKSThH HTShUr'yTh 'aTh KL-'yVUr HNG'y MUr'aShV V'yD-UrGLYV LKL-MUr'aH 'yYNY HKHN. | `And if the leprosy break out greatly in the skin, and the leprosy hath covered all the skin of him who hath the plague, from his head even unto his feet, to all that appeareth to the eyes of the priest, | sin autem effloruerit discurrens lepra in cute et operuerit omnem carnem a capite usque ad pedes quicquid sub aspectu oculorum cadit | |||||
| 13. | then the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean of the plague. It has all turned white: he is clean. | Then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean. |
וראה הכהן והנה כסתה הצרעת את־כל־בשרו וטהר את־הנגע כלו הפך לבן טהור הוא׃ |
VUr'aH HKHN VHNH KSThH HTShUr'yTh 'aTh-KL-BShUrV VTHUr 'aTh-HNG'y KLV HPhK LBN THVUr HV'a. | then hath the priest seen, and lo, the leprosy hath covered all his flesh, and he hath pronounced him who hath the plague clean; it hath all turned white; he is clean. | considerabit eum sacerdos et teneri lepra mundissima iudicabit eo quod omnis in candorem versa sit et idcirco homo mundus erit | |||||
| 14. | But whenever raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean. | But when raw flesh appeareth in him, he shall be unclean. |
וביום הראות בו בשר חי יטמא׃ |
VBYVM HUr'aVTh BV BShUr ChY YTM'a. | `And in the day of raw flesh being seen in him he is unclean; | quando vero caro vivens in eo apparuerit | |||||
| 15. | The priest shall examine the raw flesh, and pronounce him unclean: the raw flesh is unclean. It is leprosy. | And the priest shall see the raw flesh, and pronounce him to be unclean: for the raw flesh is unclean: it is a leprosy. |
וראה הכהן את־הבשר החי וטמאו הבשר החי טמא הוא צרעת הוא׃ |
VUr'aH HKHN 'aTh-HBShUr HChY VTM'aV HBShUr HChY TM'a HV'a TShUr'yTh HV'a. | and the priest hath seen the raw flesh, and hath pronounced him unclean; the raw flesh is unclean, it is leprosy. | tunc sacerdotis iudicio polluetur et inter inmundos reputabitur caro enim viva si lepra aspergatur inmunda est | |||||
| 16. | Or if the raw flesh turns again, and is changed to white, then he shall come to the priest; | Or if the raw flesh turn again, and be changed unto white, he shall come unto the priest; |
או כי ישוב הבשר החי ונהפך ללבן ובא אל־הכהן׃ |
'aV KY YShVB HBShUr HChY VNHPhK LLBN VB'a 'aL-HKHN. | Or when the raw flesh turneth back, and hath been turned to white, then he hath come in unto the priest, | quod si rursum versa fuerit in alborem et totum hominem operuerit | |||||
| 17. | and the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the plague has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him clean of the plague. He is clean. | And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the plague be turned into white; then the priest shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: he is clean. |
וראהו הכהן והנה נהפך הנגע ללבן וטהר הכהן את־הנגע טהור הוא׃ |

| 18. | "When the body has a boil on its skin, and it has healed, | The flesh also, in which, even in the skin thereof, was a boil, and is healed, |

| 19. | and in the place of the boil there is a white rising, or a bright spot, reddish-white, then it shall be shown to the priest; | And in the place of the boil there be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it be shewed to the priest; |
והיה במקום השחין שאת לבנה או בהרת לבנה אדמדמת ונראה אל־הכהן׃ |
VHYH BMQVM HShChYN Sh'aTh LBNH 'aV BHUrTh LBNH 'aDMDMTh VNUr'aH 'aL-HKHN. | and there hath been in the place of the ulcer a white rising, or a bright white spot, very red, then it hath been seen by the priest, | et in loco ulceris cicatrix apparuerit alba sive subrufa adducetur homo ad sacerdotem | |||||
| 20. | and the priest shall examine it; and behold, if its appearance is lower than the skin, and its hair has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy. It has broken out in the boil. | And if, when the priest seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil. |

| 21. | But if the priest examines it, and behold, there are no white hairs in it, and it isn't deeper than the skin, but is dim, then the priest shall isolate him seven days. | But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hairs therein, and if it be not lower than the skin, but be somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut him up seven days: |
ואם יראנה הכהן והנה אין־בה שער לבן ושפלה איננה מן־העור והיא כהה והסגירו הכהן שבעת ימים׃ |

| 22. | If it spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a plague. | And if it spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague. |

| 23. | But if the bright spot stays in its place, and hasn't spread, it is the scar from the boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean. | But if the bright spot stay in his place, and spread not, it is a burning boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean. |
ואם־תחתיה תעמד הבהרת לא פשתה צרבת השחין הוא וטהרו הכהן׃ |
V'aM-ThChThYH Th'yMD HBHUrTh L'a PhShThH TShUrBTh HShChYN HV'a VTHUrV HKHN. | and if in its place the bright spot stay -- it hath not spread -- it is an inflammation of the ulcer; and the priest hath pronounced him clean. | sin autem steterit in loco suo ulceris est cicatrix et homo mundus erit | |||||
| 24. | "Or when the body has a burn from fire on its skin, and the raw flesh of the burn becomes a bright spot, reddish-white, or white, | Or if there be any flesh, in the skin whereof there is a hot burning, and the quick flesh that burneth have a white bright spot, somewhat reddish, or white; |
או בשר כי־יהיה בערו מכות־אש והיתה מחית המכוה בהרת לבנה אדמדמת או לבנה׃ |
'aV BShUr KY-YHYH B'yUrV MKVTh-'aSh VHYThH MChYTh HMKVH BHUrTh LBNH 'aDMDMTh 'aV LBNH. | `Or when flesh hath in its skin a fiery burning, and the quickening of the burning, the bright white spot, hath been very red or white, | caro et cutis quam ignis exuserit et sanata albam sive rufam habuerit cicatricem | |||||
| 25. | then the priest shall examine it; and behold, if the hair in the bright spot has turned white, and its appearance is deeper than the skin; it is leprosy. It has broken out in the burning, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy. | Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned white, and it be in sight deeper than the skin; it is a leprosy broken out of the burning: wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy. |

V'aM YUr'aNH HKHN VHNH 'aYN-BBHUrTh Sh'yUr LBN VShPhLH 'aYNNH MN-H'yVUr VHV'a KHH VHSGYUrV HKHN ShB'yTh YMYM. | `And if the priest see it, and lo, there is no white hair on the bright spot, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is become weak, then the priest hath shut him up seven days; | quod si pilorum color non fuerit inmutatus nec humilior plaga carne reliqua et ipsa leprae species fuerit subobscura recludet eum septem diebus | |||||
| 27. | The priest shall examine him on the seventh day. If it has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy. | And the priest shall look upon him the seventh day: and if it be spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy. |

| 29. | "When a man or woman has a plague on the head or on the beard, | If a man or woman have a plague upon the head or the beard; |
ואיש או אשה כי־יהיה בו נגע בראש או בזקן׃ |
V'aYSh 'aV 'aShH KY-YHYH BV NG'y BUr'aSh 'aV BZQN. | `And when a man (or a woman) hath in him a plague in the head or in the beard, | vir sive mulier in cuius capite vel barba germinarit lepra videbit eos sacerdos | |||||
| 30. | then the priest shall examine the plague; and behold, if its appearance is deeper than the skin, and the hair in it is yellow and thin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is an itch, it is leprosy of the head or of the beard. | Then the priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it be in sight deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair; then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a dry scall, even a leprosy upon the head or beard. |
