| 2. | "Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them: 'This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded, | Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, saying, |
דבר אל־אהרן ואל־בניו ואל כל־בני ישראל ואמרת אליהם זה הדבר אשר־ צוה יהוה לאמר׃ |
DBUr 'aL-'aHUrN V'aL-BNYV V'aL KL-BNY YShUr'aL V'aMUrTh 'aLYHM ZH HDBUr 'aShUr- TShVH YHVH L'aMUr. | `Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the sons of Israel; and thou hast said unto them, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, saying, | loquere Aaron et filiis eius et cunctis filiis Israhel et dices ad eos iste est sermo quem mandavit Dominus dicens | |||||
| 3. | Whatever man there is of the house of Israel, who kills a bull, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp, | What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp, |
איש איש מבית ישראל אשר ישחט שור או־כשב או־עז במחנה או אשר ישחט מחוץ למחנה׃ |
'aYSh 'aYSh MBYTh YShUr'aL 'aShUr YShChT ShVUr 'aV-KShB 'aV-'yZ BMChNH 'aV 'aShUr YShChT MChVTSh LMChNH. | Any man of the house of Israel who slaughtereth ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or who slaughtereth at the outside of the camp, | homo quilibet de domo Israhel si occiderit bovem aut ovem sive capram in castris vel extra castra | |||||
| 4. | and hasn't brought it to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to offer it as an offering to Yahweh before the tabernacle of Yahweh: blood shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people. | And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people: |
ואל־פתח אהל מועד לא הביאו להקריב קרבן ליהוה לפני משכן יהוה דם יחשב לאיש ההוא דם שפך ונכרת האיש ההוא מקרב עמו׃ |
V'aL-PhThCh 'aHL MV'yD L'a HBY'aV LHQUrYB QUrBN LYHVH LPhNY MShKN YHVH DM YChShB L'aYSh HHV'a DM ShPhK VNKUrTh H'aYSh HHV'a MQUrB 'yMV. | and unto the opening of the tent of meeting hath not brought it in to bring near an offering to Jehovah before the tabernacle of Jehovah, blood is reckoned to that man -- blood he hath shed -- and that man hath been cut off from the midst of his people; | et non obtulerit ad ostium tabernaculi oblationem Domino sanguinis reus erit quasi sanguinem fuderit sic peribit de medio populi sui | |||||
| 5. | This is to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they may bring them to Yahweh, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of peace offerings to Yahweh. | To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the LORD. |
למען אשר יביאו בני ישראל את־זבחיהם אשר הם זבחים על־פני השדה והביאם ליהוה אל־פתח אהל מועד אל־הכהן וזבחו זבחי שלמים ליהוה אותם׃ |
LM'yN 'aShUr YBY'aV BNY YShUr'aL 'aTh-ZBChYHM 'aShUr HM ZBChYM 'yL-PhNY HShDH VHBY'aM LYHVH 'aL-PhThCh 'aHL MV'yD 'aL-HKHN VZBChV ZBChY ShLMYM LYHVH 'aVThM. | so that the sons of Israel do bring in their sacrifices which they are sacrificing on the face of the field, yea, they have brought them in to Jehovah, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, unto the priest, and they have sacrificed sacrifices of peace-offerings to Jehovah with them. | ideo offerre debent sacerdoti filii Israhel hostias suas quas occidunt in agro ut sanctificentur Domino ante ostium tabernaculi testimonii et immolent eas hostias pacificas Domino | |||||
| 6. | The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and burn the fat for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh. | And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the LORD. |
וזרק הכהן את־הדם על־מזבח יהוה פתח אהל מועד והקטיר החלב לריח ניחח ליהוה׃ |
VZUrQ HKHN 'aTh-HDM 'yL-MZBCh YHVH PhThCh 'aHL MV'yD VHQTYUr HChLB LUrYCh NYChCh LYHVH. | `And the priest hath sprinkled the blood upon the altar of Jehovah, at the opening of the tent of meeting, and hath made perfume with the fat for sweet fragrance to Jehovah; | fundetque sacerdos sanguinem super altare Domini ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii et adolebit adipem in odorem suavitatis Domino | |||||
| 7. | They shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat idols, after which they play the prostitute. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.' | And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. | 8. | "You shall say to them, 'Any man there is of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice, | And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice, |
ואלהם תאמר איש איש מבית ישראל ומן־הגר אשר־יגור בתוכם אשר־יעלה עלה או־זבח׃ |

| 10. | "'Any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who eats any kind of blood, I will set my face against that soul who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. | And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people. |
ואיש איש מבית ישראל ומן־הגר הגר בתוכם אשר יאכל כל־דם ונתתי פני בנפש האכלת את־הדם והכרתי אתה מקרב עמה׃ |

'yL-KN 'aMUrThY LBNY YShUr'aL KL-NPhSh MKM L'a-Th'aKL DM VHGUr HGUr BThVKKM L'a-Y'aKL DM. | `Therefore I have said to the sons of Israel, No person among you doth eat blood, and the sojourner who is sojourning in your midst doth not eat blood; | idcirco dixi filiis Israhel omnis anima ex vobis non comedet sanguinem nec ex advenis qui peregrinantur inter vos | |||||
| 13. | "'Whatever man there is of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who takes in hunting any animal or bird that may be eaten; he shall pour out its blood, and cover it with dust. | And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. |
ואיש איש מבני ישראל ומן־הגר הגר בתוכם אשר יצוד ציד חיה או־ עוף אשר יאכל ושפך את־דמו וכסהו בעפר׃ |
V'aYSh 'aYSh MBNY YShUr'aL VMN-HGUr HGUr BThVKM 'aShUr YTShVD TShYD ChYH 'aV- 'yVPh 'aShUr Y'aKL VShPhK 'aTh-DMV VKSHV B'yPhUr. | and any man of the sons of Israel, or of the sojourners, who is sojourning in your midst, who hunteth venison, beast or fowl, which is eaten -- hath even poured out its blood, and hath covered it with dust; | homo quicumque de filiis Israhel et de advenis qui peregrinantur apud vos si venatione atque aucupio ceperit feram vel avem quibus vesci licitum est fundat sanguinem eius et operiat illum terra | |||||
| 14. | For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life: therefore I said to the children of Israel, "You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off." | For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off. |

וכל־נפש אשר תאכל נבלה וטרפה באזרח ובגר וכבס בגדיו ורחץ במים וטמא עד־הערב וטהר׃ |
