| 9. | Is it a small thing to you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of Yahweh, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them; | Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them? |

המעט כי העליתנו מארץ זבת חלב ודבש להמיתנו במדבר כי־תשתרר עלינו גם־השתרר׃ |

| 37. | "Speak to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter the fire yonder; for they are holy, | Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed. |
אמר אל־אלעזר בן־אהרן הכהן וירם את־המחתת מבין השרפה ואת־האש זרה־הלאה כי קדשו׃ |
'aMUr 'aL-'aL'yZUr BN-'aHUrN HKHN VYUrM 'aTh-HMChThTh MBYN HShUrPhH V'aTh-H'aSh ZUrH-HL'aH KY QDShV. | `Say unto Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, and he lifteth up the censers from the midst of the burning, and the fire scatter thou yonder, for they have been hallowed, | praecipe Eleazaro filio Aaron sacerdotis ut tollat turibula quae iacent in incendio et ignem huc illucque dispergat quoniam sanctificata sunt | |||||
| 38. | even the censers of these sinners against their own lives; and let them be made beaten plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before Yahweh; therefore they are holy; and they shall be a sign to the children of Israel." | The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel. |
את מחתות החטאים האלה בנפשתם ועשו אתם רקעי פחים צפוי למזבח כי־ הקריבם לפני־יהוה ויקדשו ויהיו לאות לבני ישראל׃ |

| 39. | Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers, which those who were burnt had offered; and they beat them out for a covering of the altar, | And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar: |

| 40. | to be a memorial to the children of Israel, to the end that no stranger, who isn't of the seed of Aaron, comes near to burn incense before Yahweh; that he not be as Korah, and as his company: as Yahweh spoke to him by Moses. | To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses. |

| 43. | Moses and Aaron came to the front of the Tent of Meeting. | And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation. |

| 45. | "Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment!" They fell on their faces. | Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces. |
הרמו מתוך העדה הזאת ואכלה אתם כרגע ויפלו על־פניהם׃ |

| 46. | Moses said to Aaron, "Take your censer, and put fire from off the altar in it, and lay incense on it, and carry it quickly to the congregation, and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from Yahweh! The plague has begun." | And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun. |
