1.  *     سورة القيامة  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ لااقسم بيوم القيامة     swr+ alqyam+  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym ? laaqsm bywm alqyam+     I do not swear/make oath with the Resurrection Day     I do call to witness the Resurrection Day;
 
2.  *     ولااقسم بالنفس اللوامة     wlaaqsm balnfs allwam+     And nor I swear/make oath with the self, the often blaming/reprimanding.     And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil).
 
3.  *     ايحسب الانسان الن نجمع عظامه     ayHsb alansan aln njm` `Zamh     Does the human/mankind think/suppose that We (will) not gather/unite his bones?     Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones?
 
4.  *     بلى قادرين على ان نسوي بنانه     bli qadryn `li an nswy bnanh     Yes/certainly We are capable/able on that (E) We straighten (recreate) his fingertip (finger print).     Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers.
 
5.  *     بل يريد الانسان ليفجر امامه     bl yryd alansan lyfjr amamh     Rather the human/mankind wants to debauch/corrupt in front of him.     But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him.
 
6.  *     يسأل ايان يوم القيامة     ysAl ayan ywm alqyam+     He asks/questions: "When (is) the Resurrection Day?"     He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
 
7.  *     فاذا برق البصر     faXa brq albSr     So if/when the eye sight/vision glared/gleamed/confused and astonished.     At length, when the sight is dazed,
 
8.  *     وخسف القمر     wKsf alqmr     And the moon punctured/eclipsed.     And the moon is buried in darkness.
 
9.  *     وجمع الشمس والقمر     wjm` al$ms walqmr     And the sun and the moon were gathered/collected.     And the sun and moon are joined together,-
 
10.  *     يقول الانسان يومئذ اين المفر     yqwl alansan ywmYX ayn almfr     The human/mankind that day says: "Where (is) the escape/escape to (shelter)?"     That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?"
 
11.  *     كلا لاوزر     kla lawzr     No but (there is) no shelter.     By no means! No place of safety!
 
12.  *     الى ربك يومئذ المستقر     ali rbk ywmYX almstqr     To your Lord that day (is) the settlement.     Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest.
 
13.  *     ينبأ الانسان يومئذ بما قدم واخر     ynbA alansan ywmYX bma qdm waKr     The human/mankind (will) be informed that day with what he advanced/preceded and he delayed.     That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back.
 
14.  *     بل الانسان على نفسه بصيرة     bl alansan `li nfsh bSyr+     Rather the human/mankind (is) on him self (an) evidence/witness.     Nay, man will be evidence against himself,
 
15.  *     ولو القى معاذيره     wlw alqi m`aXyrh     And even if he threw (gave) his apologies/excuses.     Even though he were to put up his excuses.
 
16.  *     لاتحرك به لسانك لتعجل به     latHrk bh lsank lt`jl bh     Do not move with it your tongue to hurry/hasten/rush with it.     Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith.
 
17.  *     ان علينا جمعه وقرانه     an `lyna jm`h wqranh     That truly on Us (is) gathering/accumulating it, and its reading/recitation.     It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it:
 
18.  *     فاذا قراناه فاتبع قرانه     faXa qranah fatb` qranh     So when/if We read it, so follow its reading/recitation.     But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated):
 
19.  *     ثم ان علينا بيانه     xm an `lyna byanh     Then that truly on Us (is) its clarification/explanation.     Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear):
 
20.  *     كلا بل تحبون العاجلة     kla bl tHbwn al`ajl+     No, but you love/like the worldly life/present.     Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life,
 
21.  *     وتذرون الاخرة     wtXrwn alaKr+     And you leave the end (other life).     And leave alone the Hereafter.
 
22.  *     وجوه يومئذ ناضرة     wjwh ywmYX naDr+     Faces/fronts, that day (are) beautiful and good (bright/blooming).     Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);-
 
23.  *     الى ربها ناظرة     ali rbha naZr+     To its Lord looking.     Looking towards their Lord;
 
24.  *     ووجوه يومئذ باسرة     wwjwh ywmYX basr+     And faces/fronts, that day (are) frowning/gloomy.     And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal,
 
25.  *     تظن ان يفعل بها فاقرة     tZn an yf`l bha faqr+     (They) think/suppose that a disaster/calamity will be made/done with it.     In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them;
 
26.  *     كلا اذا بلغت التراقي     kla aXa blGt altraqy     No, but when/if the collar bones/verge of death reached.     Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit),
 
27.  *     وقيل من راق     wqyl mn raq     And (it) was said: "Who (is) ascended/elevated (being saved)?"     And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?"
 
28.  *     وظن انه الفراق     wZn anh alfraq     And (he) thought/assumed that it is the separation.     And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting;
 
29.  *     والتفت الساق بالساق     waltft alsaq balsaq     And the shin/leg coiled/wrapped with the shin/leg.     And one leg will be joined with another:
 
30.  *     الى ربك يومئذ المساق     ali rbk ywmYX almsaq     To your Lord (on) that day (is) the drive (destination).     That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord!
 
31.  *     فلا صدق ولاصلى     fla Sdq wlaSli     So he did not give charity and nor he prayed.     So he gave nothing in charity, nor did he pray!-
 
32.  *     ولكن كذب وتولى     wlkn kXb wtwli     And but lied/denied and turned away.     But on the contrary, he rejected Truth and turned away!
 
33.  *     ثم ذهب الى اهله يتمطى     xm Xhb ali ahlh ytmTi     Then he went to his people walking stretched with his arms moving in a conceited manner (marching arrogantly).     Then did he stalk to his family in full conceit!
 
34.  *     اولى لك فاولى     awli lk fawli     Woe/warning/threat (Hell) for you, so woe/warning/threat (Hell for you).     Woe to thee, (O men!), yea, woe!
 
35.  *     ثم اولى لك فاولى     xm awli lk fawli     Then woe/warning/threat (Hell) for you, so woe/warning/threat (Hell for you).     Again, Woe to thee, (O men!), yea, woe!
 
36.  *     ايحسب الانسان ان يترك سدى     ayHsb alansan an ytrk sdi     Does the human/mankind think/suppose that (E) he be left unattended to/disregarded (uncounted with)?     Does man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)?
 
37.  *     الم يك نطفة من مني يمنى     alm yk nTf+ mn mny ymni     Did he not be a drop/male's or female's secretion from sperm/semen, semen being ejaculated/ discharged ?     Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)?
 
38.  *     ثم كان علقة فخلق فسوى     xm kan `lq+ fKlq fswi     Then (he) was/became a blood clot, so He created (it), so He straightened/perfected (it).     Then did he become a leech-like clot; then did ((Allah)) make and fashion (him) in due proportion.
 
39.  *     فجعل منه الزوجين الذكر والانثى     fj`l mnh alzwjyn alXkr walanxi     So He made/created from it the couples/pairs, the male and the female.     And of him He made two sexes, male and female.
 
40.  *     اليس ذلك بقادر على ان يحيي الموتى     alys Xlk bqadr `li an yHyy almwti     Is not that with capable/able on that He revives/makes alive the deads?448     Has not He, (the same), the power to give life to the dead?
